  1. Green Bay and Pittsburgh are the NFL's two top rated defenses...It sure is easy to be a "Franchise QB" with a dominating D, especially if they force turnovers.

If we improve our D, the tune will change concerning what people "know" about Fitz.

You can't teach intelligence, and the post about him staring down receivers is bull ****. He is going to make average to below average receivers a lot of money in this league. Harvard is constantly talked about, but this guys intelligence is not even in the same league as most guys in the NFL...if you give him another year, he will make many believers.

  2. A little joke turns into quite the little thread here, huh?

Misogynist? Really? It was a joke...I was going to call you a d-bag, but why throw Summer's Eve on the fire?

It is a shame that Cutler didn't have the right emotions for everybody else...the people that had nothing going on, but getting fat in front of their TV that Blue Ribbon is likely to repossess at the end of the month anyway, have a lot of opinions on the issue.

Diabetes and cortisone sounds good...it's not true. Again, it sounds awesome, and there is a reaction, but I have a feeling the medical staff for the Bears would have been able to pull that off.

    Also...really, who gives a !@#$?

OP, the joke was pretty funny. Thanks.

  3. WR would be the worst possible pick the Bills could make at #3. Does the name Marcus Easley ring any bells?

    PTR

Usually I agree with your assessment, but I can't get there from here. Easley rings a bell...he as a 4th rounder who had one good year in college, then got hurt in TC. He didn't play a down for the Bills.

I don't necessarily think taking Green is a good idea, but this was not a convincing argument.

  4. And Adam Morrison has two rings with the LA Lakers even though he played about 12 minutes for both seasons.

It's a team sport, all participants get a ring. Not all contributions are equal, not all ring distributions are equal either.

Yeah, but he has an awesome moustache.

  5. What's funny is that when the Bills drafted Whitner and Maybin, one of the positives that the Bills promoted about them was that they are very mature players who are going to be leaders on the team.

Man, did the Bills ever get the wool pulled over their eyes on those two or what.

Here's the thing. When a player declares for the draft and signs with an agent, the agent immediately puts the player into a draft preparation camp. They work on running 40s and doing drills that help them excel at the combine and on pro days. But more than that, the draft camp prepares these players for INTERVIEWS and how to say the right things and such. You can take a completely immature kid like Maybin and have him learn a script of the right things to say and have the player completely fool some franchises into thinking that they have good character and diligence. IMO, the Bills have been fooled often.

Or you could just make something up.

  6. Crazy people in Tuscon can buy 30-round clips like they buy a loaf of bread. What makes Plax such a criminal?

    PTR

He wasn't in Tuscon. Other than that, there is nothing wrong with discharging a concealed weapon at a night club...I thought this was America, damnit!!

  7. All i am saying is just because our politicians and radio mouths tell you something, it doesn't mean it is true, and until you actually go abroad and see what other countries have to offer you and how their people live you should not make universal statements that you know little about. I have been to about 20 countries with about a half dozen with more freedoms, healthier life styles and better life experiences than ours. And yes given the chance I would prefer to live in some of them rather than here. Heck the country 20 minutes from RWS has more freedoms than we do.

This is great. I think you were supposed to be served...unfortunately it didn't work out that way. It is funny that people that have been to other countries usually have the same point of view as you.

Just be careful, because America will stick a boot in your ass, and if you don't like it, you can just g-g-g-g-get out!!

  8. I remember when Welker went from Miami to New England. I posted here, I thought that was the best FA pickup of that off-season...everyone said I was an idiot!!!

It probably had nothing to do with Welker, but more with having to try to justify how cool you are by making posts...well...like this one!

    1. because it was a black man talking smack to a white guy

    2. becuae a black man is talking smack to tom brady

    3. because people need to be more understanding of the plite of tom brady

I am going to go out on a limb and say that is was because he said "...he's an !@#$, !@#$ him."

That is oozing with class, and I don't know why it would get taken out of context.

See...Welker is what we call "clever"...Cromartie is what we call "not clever." We don't even have to worry about race here, because it has nothing to do with it. Isn't that a relief?? Awesome!!!

  9. Glazer said that the Saints expressed interest to the Bills and told them to call if they were going to trade Lynch. There is no way that if somebody said that, the natural response for anybody in that kind of position would be; "If I have interest in trading him might depend on your offer. Make me an offer, and we'll go from there." Also...no way anybody in sales, which a GM is, doesn't go for the bump.

People can say what they want about Nix, but I have a feeling this is BS.

  10. Fitzy has not earned the right to be mentioned alongside Kelly, but some of you guys are !@#$ing ridiculous.

We drafted Kelly, and he took two years to get here...playing professional ball...and went 4-12. 4 and !@#$ing 12.

Jim is a legend, and my all time favorite player, but everybody seems to forget that it wasn't his first or second year here that we were good. We were decent the third, and digressed the fourth. Then the magic started.

"We need out next Jim Kelly," is the piss and moan every day/week/month/year... the fans, coaches, FO, and ownership have not been patient enough to ever get a "franchise" guy.

As long as you keep expecting the quick fix, and are not willing to wait on a guy, you can continue to be disappointed and upset, and telling everybody how much you know on message boards, but we'll still not have a QB.

  11. I fixed it for you.

Was John Elway black when he played?

Unfortunately he is right. That is exactly the argument people make every day, they just use the word "athletic" to hide what they are saying.

Cunningham was a great QB. I would love to have that kind of talent on this team.

You can have Joe Flacco, I'll take Cunningham.

Just because a guy can run, doesn't make him a bad QB. Think about how much better Bledsoe would have been if he could have even walked fast... People take two or three examples and that is Cam Newton... unfortunately he is a physical specimen, who could probably throw half of the guys you mentioned 50 yards. The guy has a rocket arm, and is fast... Why would you want to screw up and get a guy like him??? He also wins games...Auburn wasn't the favorite to be Champs. Mallet is a "pocket guy" and he doesn't win...that is like Marino, and while his stats were great, he didn't win ****, but I can see how that is better than somebody who is "athletic."

  12. Having a hard time finding any correlation here?

Beside that, Nix was a scout for the Chargers, not the GM. Butler ran that draft and the team. Butler built the Chargers in the early days, and was followed by AJ Smith.

Not to discount Nix's ability as a scout but the man has never been in charge of football operations at the NFL level. We also do not know if he has a plan. He is a good football scout that Wilson knows and is comfortable with. That is it so far.

    You don't get it??

The Chargers took a DB with their fist pick. It was Buddy's second year there. So, of course, he is going to take a DB with the first round pick here, because it's his second year.

It really isn't that hard, and it's about as close to a sure think as you can get.

  13. I hope the Bills target these guys. But it's the Bills and my hopes of this team doing anything productive in the offseason is slim to nil. Look at last offseason. It was a complete waste. They should have went after Peppers and Dansby and offered them whatever it takes to get them here.

That is an excellent philosophy. The problem is that this isn't Madden. When we would have blown our load bringing those two to Buffalo...it would have been on 5 or 6 year deals with huge guaranteed money. I know they played well this year, but chances of them producing at a level anywhere near their salaries for 4 more seasons is highly unlikely...no, it's more than "unlikely," it just will not happen.

When you are rebuilding a team, that is a horrible move. I know that we were supposed to be in the Super Bowl this year, but when Nix speaks of building through the draft...there is a real good reason. If fact, it is he reason Pittsburgh, NE, and Indy all have had prolonged success. We just need to get into the club, and it' isn't instant...

  14. This is an awesome thread!!! It is in just in time to qualify for "Thread of the Year."

It should win in a landslide...unless one of other 4,323,576 threads that say the exact same **** that have been started this year win.

Our fanbase has been beaten into a pathetic, pessimistic, blubbering, chicken little, cry babies. The 12th Man needs a !@#$ing tampoon.
