  1. Wasn't there a season when JP was looking good that we had hope up until maybe the second to last game of the season? If I recall correctly, I think Tennessee killed our hopes that year. That was the season before we drafted Lynch and Edwards. I saw them play that amazing game in Houston (best Bills game I have ever seen in person).
  2. No way we win less that 6 games unless we are just obliterated by injuries (yet again).
  3. I agree about the watching them win being more enjoyable, but after so many seasons of the same results, it just becomes so frustrating. I guess it would come down to why we were losing those games. If Trent had 9 horrific games, I say we need to finish just poorly enough to where we could ensure ourselves a top shelf QB. I just want to win, period.
  4. I think we are headed for another seven and nine season and I just don't know how I feel about that. 09/12 MIAMI DOLPHINS WIN 09/19 @ Green Bay Packers LOSS 09/26 @ New England Patriots LOSS 10/03 NEW YORK JETS WIN 10/10 JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS WIN 10/17 BYE 10/24 @ Baltimore Ravens LOSS 10/31 @ Kansas City Chiefs WIN 11/07 CHICAGO BEARS (Toronto) WIN 11/14 DETROIT LIONS WIN 11/21 @ Cincinnati Bengals LOSS 11/28 PITTSBURGH STEELERS LOSS 12/05 @ Minnesota Vikings LOSS 12/12 CLEVELAND BROWNS WIN 12/19 @ Miami Dolphins LOSS 12/26 NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS LOSS 01/02 @ New York Jets LOSS On a previous post, I commented that I would like to see us go 1-15 and take a QB. Since that time we have seen the offense look good against the Colts and Cinci. Even if we are going to be better that most "experts" are predicting, is another 7-9 season better than a 1-15? Right now I really don't know which I would prefer, which is why I thought I would post the question and get your thoughts. OK, I can't type this early in the day. 1-15 is what the subject line should say.
  5. Actually, the tie breaker for me ended up being that River's best receiver is a holdout. I live two hours from Dallas, so I can promise you I hate them as much as anyone. You wouldn't believe the crap my 14 year old son hears when he wears his Bills gear to school.
  6. Yeah, I wanted Schaub, but ended up having to settle for Romo. It was tough deciding between him and Rivers. Longest it took me to make a pick the entire draft actually.
  7. I am blown away Gore fell to fourteen!! Who the hell was going before him? I think he's rated as the fifth best RB in pretty much any publication you look at. Very rarely I have seen Turner ranked higher than him. Do you remember who went before him? I would take Charles over Foster. Kubiak is just too damn erratic when it comes to pulling RBs. I like your strategy. I wanted to pick up a QB with my second pick, but Rodgers, Brees, and Manning were off the board. Anyone else would have been a reach. That what I hated about picking 7th in a 12 man draft, you are pretty much handcuffed into taking Andre Johnson. Drafting a RB or QB at that point is just a reach either way.
  8. I completely understand, but seeing as we are playing for money, I had to draft for talent and need over how it's going to make me feel on game day. Believe me, if we are playing the Jets and Shonn Greene scores, I am not happy at all, but at the end of the day I am at least getting something back for it.
  9. If it's a snake draft, I would much rather be at the end as opposed to in the middle. That's why I ended up taking Andre Johnson, because I didn't want to reach on picking Matthews or Mendenhall. I would have taken Gore if he was still there in the first though.
  10. Here's the scoring breakdown for our league: Offense Passing Yards 25 yards per point Passing Touchdowns 4 Interceptions -2 Rushing Yards 10 yards per point Rushing Touchdowns 6 Reception Yards 10 yards per point Reception Touchdowns 6 Return Touchdowns 6 2-Point Conversions 2 Fumbles Lost -2 Offensive Fumble Return TD 6 Kickers Field Goals 0-19 Yards 3 Field Goals 20-29 Yards 3 Field Goals 30-39 Yards 3 Field Goals 40-49 Yards 4 Field Goals 50+ Yards 5 Point After Attempt Made 1 Defense/Special Teams Sack 1 Interception 2 Fumble Recovery 2 Touchdown 6 Safety 2 Block Kick 2 Kickoff and Punt Return TDs 6 Points Allowed 0 points 10 Points Allowed 1-6 points 7 Points Allowed 7-13 points 4 Points Allowed 14-20 points 1 Points Allowed 21-27 points 0 Points Allowed 28-34 points -1 Points Allowed 35+ points -4

  12. Believe me, I know. It's the price I am paying for taking Johnson and Miles in the first and third. The Ben Tate pick killed me. Even with that being said, I rank fourth in my league out of the twelve players in regards to projected points. The only chance I have in hell of having a decent season is if Spiller is successful, and my main starting RBs stay healthy.
  13. We had our draft this past Sunday. I think I could have gotten him in the sixth round (I was pick #7 in a 12 man draft), but after his performance on Saturday night, I didn't want to risk not getting him and took him in the fifth round. I also picked up Lee Evans in the 11th round. Those are the only two Bills that made my roster. Fred Jackson went in the top of the eight, and Lynch went in the bottom of the 15th. That's the only Bills that got drafted. If Edwards keeps targeting Parrish and he is returning punts and kicks, I might pick him up as a bench player at some point. Anyway, would you pick Spiller, and if so, what round would you target him? Any other Bills you would pick up? This is how my draft went: 1. (7) Andre Johnson 2. (18) Shonn Greene 3. (31) Miles Austin 4. (42) Tony Romo 5. (55) C.J. Spiller 6. (66) Brent Celek 7. (79) Ricky Williams 8. (90) Ben Tate 9. (103) Laurence Maroney 10. (114) Pittsburgh 11. (127) Lee Evans 12. (138) Willis McGahee 13. (151) Rob Bironas 14. (162) Devin Hester 15. (175) Toby Gerhart 16. (186) Mark Sanchez 17. (199) Mike Bell I am weak the the RB position, but have the best WR corps in the league. Drafting in the middle of the pack is the worst. I don't expect much out of this season which is why I decided to try the WR approach to see how it works out. In such a pass happy league, I figured it was worth a shot. And yes, I screwed the pooch with my Ben Tate pick. I was not aware at the time that he was out for the season. Lastly, in every scenario and mock draft I ran, I never had Shonn Greene. I was always able to pull Manning with my second pick. That didn't work out and I had to scramble quick. I don't know much about the kid except man are calling for him to be a bust. We'll see. It's a win, win either way I guess.
  14. From what I heard, Bull Dog secretly is rooting against the Bills so his lazy fat a$$ can sit at home during Christmas break.
  15. Jesus Christ, how is my reply negative? I just don't put too much stock in the "at least they are entertaining argument". The Dallas Monday night game was as entertaining as they come, but who has fond memories of that game, or jump at the chance to watch it when the NFL channel replays it? Probably no one if you are a Bills fans. I didn't say we were going to suck or that I was not going to be a fan this season. The whole point to my reply is that I would really like to win this year and not just see a couple of big plays in games that ultimately end up as losses. Why don't you think about what was actually written before you blast someone for being negative. I love the hyper-sensitive babies on this board who just jump at the chance to be offended.
  16. Heart break > Entertaining Meaning, if they have an entertaining game and still manage to break my heart at the end of a Monday night game, or in week 14 of the regular season by getting eliminated from the playoffs, who cares? I have seen quite a few entertaining games they've played in this past decade. I would trade them all for a boring 11-5 season where they make the playoffs by pounding the ball and playing lights out defense, but that's just me.
  17. I like the new uniforms, I just don't like what has transpired since we switched over to them. If we had done what Denver had done and immediately won a super bowl, everyone would be loving the new uniforms.
  18. I hate him. I wish he would catch gonorrhea and get traded to Miami.
  19. Just once I want to see what Brohm can do with the first stringers.
  20. You're right, 3-13 is much better than 0-16.
  21. Not getting better, just securing that number one pick. Seriously, I watch this video and like what I see....a lot! I understand every one has their own opinion, but I think this kid looks great. Any then again, this season could turn him into Brohm. We'll see soon enough... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMfiq9CXss8
