actually, this is inaccurate. its a known fact that immigrants (legal or illegal) break the law at a lower rate than folks born here in the us.

    https://nij.ojp.gov/topics/articles/undocumented-immigrant-offending-rate-lower-us-born-citizen-rate

What is inaccurate is to refer to those that illegally cross a sovereign nation's borders as immigrants. When one crosses a sovereign nation's borders illegally, that person is invading the sovereign nation. Therefor, that person is a foreign invader. Since we choose not to defend our borders against foreign invaders, as WNYGUY points out, 100% of them are breaking the law by being here. Only question is how many laws they break.

    Jesus.....

I was on a flight from Japan to Vancouver about 10 years ago and mid-flight, we had an electrical fire on board (you could smell burning electronics all throughout the plane). The pilots had to reroute all power from everything on the plane to the cockpit (flight deck) which seemed to ease the tensions for a bit, until the pilots made the announcement that they may have to re-route the plane or make an emergency landing (we are all sitting in total darkness, by the way)......we are halfway between our destination and completely smack dab over the Pacific, so where are we going to re-route to? That's exactly what you want to hear as you're over the Pacific that they may have to make an emergency landing.

Chaos ensued......like, i'm talking some real "Lord of the Flies" type stuff.

    It was wild, man.

Long story short, we finally arrived in Vancouver, no problem. The pilot tells everyone to stay on the plane for safety until everything gets checked out. Four and a half hours later a flight representative comes on board and tells everyone that we can leave and, "oh, no refunds and thanks for flying Air Canada".

    Wait?.....what?

I wasn't expecting a full refund, but some sort of compensation would have been nice.

    Screw you, Air Canada.......never again.

Scary stories. And people wonder why I don't fly.

Trump had no vote. The contents is what killed the border bill. And while we're correcting facts, let's stop trying to soften what invasion is with semantics. When one illegally crosses a sovereign nation's borders, that person is invading it. That makes the person a foreign invader. Calling people asylum seekers doesn't change that.

I want him to live forever. He's a great man. It'd be awesome if he trolled everyone and said he was running for president.

He doesn't do much besides sleep right now according to his son. No one lives forever. Only one exception to that rule, and it's been used on me!!

I'm saving my response for his RIP thread........and honestly, i didn't know he was even still alive.

Been in Hospice care since Feb. 2023. Didn't know they let people stay on that long, my father got kicked off hospice 4 times. Died during his fifth. Jimmy has to make it 283 more days to outlive him. Smart money's on the under.

let me know when they do something about 350 days of cloud cover. 😃

Again, that was 20-30 years ago. Yesterday was the first time I golfed all year without sunscreen, had a sunburn when the round was over. Putting the sunscreen on now before heading to the first tee.

    Requirements:

    great golf environment,

    high-speed Internet,

within two hours of a major airport hub

Preferably 12 month weather that’s above 45 deg.

    what do you guys have?

Um...How about suburban Rochester? Rochester weather now is like Maryland was 20 years ago. Past 2 years I've only shoveled 2x per year, all 4 of those I was saying to myself "better do it now before the snow melts." Gave my snow blower to my brother who lives in Tonawanda, he needs it more than I do.

Last year golfed right up till Thanksgiving. Many private, semi private, and public courses to choose from. Semi privates are probably the best value. I belong to an entry level private club as well as a men's club at a public course. All 3 of the county owned public courses have private men's clubs with privileges like preferred weekend tee times and 8-10 tournaments a year. $450 you can play all 3 county courses, over 62 you can pay $7 for 9 or $9 for 18 walking. And oh yeah, we have water!!

As to North Carolina, just ask my brother who lives in Asheville how he's enjoyed the past 36 hours. At his last check in a couple hours ago he had no power, over 12 inches of rain and it was starting to pick up.

This is what I mean about her becoming a better politician.

Don't answer the question. Answer your own question.

No, it's not a good thing for American governance, but it is the way the game is played today. And she's finally getting it.

    The winner: Kamala

    The loser: America

    What a mess.

To think I would be asked to give $50K per seat x 2 seats in the new stadium. My old lady, or darling wife to the young uns here, already said a divorce would be on the table the next day!

I have a few divorced friends who would think this is a bargain compared to what it cost them.

I'm 50 years old and love to be in the fun sections where everyone stands for most of the game and enjoys the rowdiness and camaraderie

Will I still feel that way when I'm 65?  Who knows

Will it be very different at the new stadium?  Almost certainly

I'm about to find out. 67 now, been in the 300 level since my 20's. Couple years ago some kid was sitting down in the row ahead of me. I tapped him on the shoulder and said young man, how am I supposed to bang on your seat when you're sitting down? He stood up. Splurged for the Dunn Tire club this year. Don't think asking people to stand up so I can bang on their seats is going to fly. But those heating lamps will be nice for the last 5 games. It's a trade off.
