Who gets to decide if it’s an over action?!
Based on the first half anyone who thinks this team is playoff caliber is over reacting imo
Based on the first half of the first game of the season anyone who thinks they know what kind of season this team will have is overreacting IMO.

Not exactly a stellar first half by Allen. 3 turnovers in a half will not win you many football games.
Make that four.

Gotta get off the field on 3rd and long. That one hurt.

Not off to a great start, but not worried yet.

I distinctly remember some time in the early 80's, that the Bills stayed away two weeks in a row on a long trip, to save money and/or fatigue from taking a flight home and then back to the same area. I am not sure when. I was a child then. Are there any old timers here who remember this?
I think that was a West Coast trip and it made sense because of the travel times. Buffalo to NYC and back is a short trip, so I don't think it makes sense to stay there.

We drafted James St. Patrick?

They really re did the whole thing! I think Boettger may be gone as well- or possibly coming down to him, Sirles and maybe a late round pick.
Im now of the opinion they may not go OL til like 5th or 6th round. Think starters shake out like so:
LT Dawkins
LG Teller
C Morse
RG Spain
RT Nsekhe
maybe Long or Feliciano push Teller- though I think they’d prefer Long as primary back up because he’s a center
Spain has played LG his entire career. My guess is as follows:
LT Dawkins
LG Spain
C Morse
RG Feliciano
RT Nsheke

What if he does? Bills need to worry about doing their jobs, not who's on the other side.

He's doing that all by himself
You're kidding right? The left has done nothing but throw bull#### at the wall in an attempt to see if anything sticks for 2 solid years. Still nothing but ***** stains on their walls. It's getting to be pretty desperate.

Strictly a backup
He started all 13 games he played in last year with the Jets. Got hurt and missed the last three. I'd say he's a starter, not a backup.

That would be very disappointing.
Anyone predicting a team's win total without even knowing the roster construction of the Bills or their opponents is a fool or an idiot. Maybe both.

He has been away for a very long time already. It never helped any of the other QBs. Just going to be PR Josh saying he had a nice conversation with Jim blah blah and you will lap it up.
He's been around the team and the NFL every single year since he retired. He has NEVER been away. He knows what he's talking about and if Allen is smart, he'll listen and learn. As far as I know, he never worked closely with ANY of the other QB's. Now that he's expressed an interest in talking with Josh, it can only aid in his development. If you're saying Kelly doesn't know what he's talking about and the game has passed him by, I'm calling bull####.

I think he forgot a bunch of it by now
Not always... it is a different league now then when Jim played. Things are done differently.
It's a different league, but it's the same game. Jim knows his *****. It's not like he's ever been away from the game. He understands how the game has changed and he knows what he sees that maybe a rookie is missing.

JK is a HOF QB. Talking with him could only help a young QB. If people are telling him something different than what Jim has to offer, then I'm sure he can sort that out. Advice from a HOF QB can only help in his development.

"Doesn’t it seem like a lot of the #Bills released or traded players are in the PLAYOFFS ? ?????
#weneedtotakenotes #BillsMafia
#nfl #playoffs #rethinkthings"He said this on Twitter. Kind of surprising, the former Bills have been almost 100% super positive until the news about Reich was made public.
Personally, we need at least a playoff appearance next year and honestly a win. Then I'll be 100% sold and would be ok with extending McDermott.
It ain't up to you. And those players he's talking about were mostly let go under the previous regime.

It's a fair point that certain players tend to be hot-heads.
But don't you think the specifics of coaching, especially by the assistants in charge of each room, influence focus, discipline, and technique?
Most people seem to think so
As for Rex, you could make the same point about how his prior NY Jets teams were historically stout on defense - therefore he should have been a great defensive coach for us.
I think the problem with Rex is that he had "checked out" and his head wasn't 100% in it when he was here.
I think the problem with Rex was his ego. We had a great defense when he got to Buffalo and a solid D coordinator. He decided to run the defense himself, which required a completely different style of play, one that we did not have the personnel to run. He destroyed a great defense and got rid of a good D coordinator because he thought he could do better. He was wrong and it cost him his job.

A lot of people in the GDT had opinions all over the map on McD. I thought it would be good to get it on record. I've seen enough over two seasons, I want him gone. Today was just the last straw for me.
This team just doesn't have enough talent to compete with NE. How many of our head coaches over the years have had any success against them over this run they've had? They are a very good football team and the fact is, we just aren't in their league yet. Coach has nothing to do with how badly we got beat. We just aren't very good.

Max Kellerman said on First Take the other day, when discussing the Pats never having to deal with QB's in the AFCE, "Sam Darnold is still a baby and the Jets and Bills don't have QB's."
I don't mind criticism, and Allen deserves some - he needs to work on his accuracy/touch and hitting his checkdowns, but it's really obnoxious that these people make comments like this and clearly don't watch Josh Allen or the Buffalo Bills.
There's a reason why the actual NFL guys, who watch tape and delve into analytics, like Josh Allen. There's also a reason why lazy ESPN types parrot the false narrative that he's a runner who can't throw.
I cannot wait to get some OL & WR upgrades for next year so JA can shut these clowns up.
That's what you get for watching ESPN. It is the worst "sports" network in history.

His resemblance to Joe Namath on the field. The way he walks to the sidelines. The way he runs the huddle. His release of the football. His touch passes.
It's strange but I've seen many Broadway Joe games and Sam has that look!
I was looking at Darnold's eyes. He looked like he was scared shitless.

He knows what's being called, and if he doesn't...that's a problem in it of itself.
Coordinators operate under the head coach's philosophy and influence, they are an extension of what the head coach wants.
He does know, but he let's Dabol call the plays. Having the same philosophy and agreeing on exactly the same call on each and every play are two very different things.

From having an injured kicker go for a 54 yarder to the 2 runs on 1st and 2nd at the Jets 23 on the second to last drive...this conservative garbage is so incredibly frustrating. I just don't understand it. Is the point of the game to keep it close or to go for the win? Even when we're 4-8 the guy just won't go for it. Give Allen more than 1 shot on that set of downs to make a play. Stop playing for a field goal.
You can see this coming a mile away, sometime in the future if we make it back to the playoffs, his brutal gameday management and conservativeness is going to bite us hard at the end of a game.
You do realize that he doesn't call the offensive plays right?

The team was .500 under Wrex Ryan, with the best offense of the drought years—hardly a disaster, hardly a team in need of a down-to-the-studs rebuild.
*****. You must have been watching a different team. Both our offense and defense sucked under Ryan.

I’ll give them till the end of next year.
And maybe some are ticky tack but that also goes for the other 31 teams.
Leading the league in penalties is inexcusable, especially for a “process” type of guy who preaches discipline.
Again, not much you can do about ticky tack calls. And as for the other 31 teams, the average number of penalties for BOTH teams combined in an NFL game is 13. Bills had more than that themselves the past two weeks. They were mostly bad calls. Nobody else gets flagged as much as Buffalo and I don't believe it's because they are committing that many more penalties, they just get called more. Jets O-Line was holding all day today. How many calls did we get?

That was NOT a safety. We got jobbed and that will be the deciding call of this game.
