OK, so here's a question:  Trying to remember, but didn't AB actually approve the trade to the Raiders?  He blew up any talk of a trade to Buffalo, so I thought he agreed to go there.  If his evil plan was always to get himself kicked off a team to join the Pats, then he just as easily could have done this to us.

Not necessarily..  I think all of this was orchestrated after he was with the raiders.

Holy smokes. Shirl just ran through the parlor and was screaming. What a great game. I told you guys wed go undefeated in the preseason. Can’t wait to see that punk Jim Spagnulo on here and show him what a real team looks like. That’s our team right there. You know when we went 4-0 last? In 1966. That was when I was running my route over on South Park and stopping at Murphy’s at 3pm for 10 cent drafts. Have to sleep now. Go bills

They kept saying during the broadcast that the Bills never went 4-0 in a pre-season.  This was the first time they went 4-0, which I think is awesome because it might well have been the last opportunity (change in pre-season seems imminent)

no way.  he owns the league.  what will be most interesting and infuriating is how QUICKLY this get's swept under the rug.

I'm sorry, but no.  Peterman, Allen, Anderson, Barkley.

I'm talking about how many different QBs start games; not how many different starters (i.e. - Peterman, then Allen, then Peterman again = 2 different starters).

He's correct.  Should Barkley start tomorrow we would technically have had 5 starters.  Those you listed and McCoy.

May be one of the most idiotic theories ever, or perhaps better stated as most idiotic thought for a question or topic to a person in charge of a huge company ( the bills are a company/ part of an industry ) .  What would you think he would say, yes that’s the case ? !   There are laws against discrimination by sex, age , disability, and certainly religious choice.   I am sure mc d workday fall into answering these radio idiots and set up the bills and the NFL as fodder for every legal firm in America.   Yeah, that’s why these guys are on the radio and not running their own companies. Ridiculous.

Peterman being on the roster at this point is unexplainable.  I started to wonder if the Jesus theory was the case after Peterman remained on the roster after the Baltimore game.  Another poster up above suggested another valid theory (pride).  At this point I just want to know how it's possible that Peterman is on the team.

Which "organization" are you referring to?  The Bills or WGR-550?  Are you suggesting that McD called WGR and told them to get Schopp off the air?

I listend to the remainder of Hour 3 and indeed, Schopp never came back on air.

The kid who posts recorded content on the website seems to have screwed up Hour 4, as he often does.  The audio file won't load up properly, so I can't listen to it.

Did you happen to listen to Hour 4 live?  I am dying to know if Schopp came back, on-air, in the 4th hour at all.

I hope they address all this in their show tomorrow, but I fear they may not.

Schopp came back at beginning of hour 4 but made no mention of what happened (Bulldog either)

I don’t think McDermott would call back... some underlying would. But I’m not saying I think this happened, just speculation as to a possible explanation.

  7. Schopp being absent for the half hour after the interview is what I find most interesting.  This interview is arranged for between the Bills and WGR.  One possible explanation for Schopp's absence following the interview is that McDermott has even more power within the organization than I previously thought.  There was absolutely nothing wrong with the questions they had for McDermott today.  His hanging up was out of line.

Listen to Peterman's post-game comments from yesterday.

He throws a bunch of Jesus stuff in there and how he doesn't define himself as a football player but a child of God or some such, it's all in Christ's plan, blah blah blah.

He is not just a religiously-oriented person, he is a newborn zealot type, as is our head coach.

That's why he's here in the first place and that's why he's still around now.

I've long suspected this as the reason why McDermott drafted Peterman and why he continues to stick with him.  My fear is that this is the same reason McDermott is our coach and that this mentality goes all the way to the top.  I have absolutely no problem with religion, but it has no place in business decisions.  The only thoughts I can come up with to comfort my fears is that Pegula is too successful to have let this been part of his decision making...

  9. I don't think this is as dumb as seemingly everyone is suggesting.  Actually OP I would absolutely believe a team playing us would rest certain players for that game.  Smart people made the argument against us getting Mack saying a player like that is great but doesn't actually lead to wins.  I've heard this about Bell in Pittsburgh as well.  If you have even a good player rest against us I don't think it would have a chance at changing the outcome.  17 points?  That's a ridiculous spread that all but guarantees a loss.

Smith is a contigency plan if cousins is franchised. Cousins is still our top choice but we do not control.  If cousins is available we will break the bank. McDermott loves him.  See sports illustrated article on cousins.  Think process. McDermott loves his preparation.  My source believes we will not trade draft picks to move up in draft for qb.  Brass feels we are a few drafts away to go deep in playoffs with a ready now qb

I don't think he can be

  11. I woke up this morning and it occurred to me - I bet EJ is color blind. That would fit perfectly with what happened with the last minute healthy scratch, with Rex going right back to him being the number 2 and explaining it was special circumstances.

Were there any other times in his career when he struggled and that could have been a reason?
