  1. I love the idea, but I saved the option to go to "Take me to the beginning" and I'm still going to the end of threads when I click on a link for the first time.   What am I doing wrong?

edit - I figured out what's going on.  When I click a link from "The Stadium Wall" section on the landing page it still takes me to the end of a thread.  But clicking a link from within "The Stadium Wall" it takes me to the beginning... I guess that makes sense because I'm not recognized by username on the landing page but once I'm on the inside I'm recognized by username.

I could see the Patriots pulling out the Navy triple option all game Sunday With no WRs, windy conditions and Cam's arm shot, I could see them pulling out something like that and running the ball 40+ times.

Had the exact same thought.  There was an article (sorry it's behind a paywall) in the Washington Post earlier this year about Bellichick studying the Navy offense...

I would assume a shortened season includes a reschedule. I highly doubt division games are going anywhere.

According to the PFT article (take it for what it's worth) the reschedule would cut the divisional schedule for every team down to one:

"As one coach mapped it out, teams would play their division rivals only once, and one of their interconference games would be scrapped."

A shorter season hurts the teams who started poorly more than the ones who started well, as it gives trailing contenders less time to catch up.  Also less game experience for young players/backups on tanking or rebuilding teams.

I think it would hurt the Bills a little though, because 2 of the 4 games which would be removed from their schedule would be against the Dolphins and Jets...

I’ll never understand why some are so eager to go straight to the worst case scenario.  It’s frustrating to read stuff like this, especially as I’m watching Florida vs South Carolina, with fans in the stands... but yea, NFL is going to cancel the season over a Week 4 hiccup....

It's pessimism.  I'm naturally pessimistic and recognize when I'm having pessimistic thoughts and still can't do anything to stop it...

50/50 actually is conclusive per the NFL rulebook. In the event of a simultaneous catch the tie goes to the offense.

    1. If a pass is caught simultaneously by two eligible opponents, and both players retain it, the ball belongs to the passers. It is not a simultaneous catch if a player gains control first and an opponent subsequently gains joint control. If the ball is muffed after simultaneous touching by two such players, all the players of the passing team become eligible to catch the loose ball.

I understand that being the case live, but once something has been called an interception and they have to review it, then it seems to me like the standard has changed (as it now needs to be conclusive)....  Is there any precedence for this situation and if so how was it handled?

There is seriously no point to instant replay if it can’t get a basic call like that correct.  None.

I haven't heard this question discussed anywhere (TV, post game radio, nor on here).  If they call it an interception on the field, don't they need conclusive evidence to overturn it?  Therefore the problem was them calling it an interception on the field, and there not being anything conclusive to overturn it.   From every angle they showed it was a fifty fifty which is the opposite of conclusive...
