Here is how I would Tier Hall of Fame Semi-Finalists.
Tier 1
Peppers (Top 7 DE all time at retirement)
Gates (top 7 TE all time)
Tier 2
D. Hester (devalued position but was best at his role for 5-6 years in the league when he played)
J. Allen (Probably #8 DE at retirement
Tier 3
A. Johnson (Calvin Johnson before Calvin Johnson)
Reggie Wayne & Torry Holt (two great receivers who played as #2 receivers to M. Harrison and Isaac Bruce) on two prolific offenses
Patrick Willis (short career but was a perennial all pro at his position)
D. Woodson (you don't receive 8 semi final nods unless you are a top 10 Safety of all time
Tier 4
Steve Smith Sr (this guy was a gamer and so dangerous and fun to watch).
Hines Ward (you were very good, won a title and played for Sterlers who have like 5-6 players who should be booted from Hall but you played for the Steelers)
Dwight Freeney (your spin move was awesome, a top 3 player at his position for like 4 years, and you probably have cool Peyton Manning practice stories)

Yes...his head coach is holding him back. A #2 WR alongside with Kincaid and Shakir make four a great top 4 options. Add a solid RT too and this will certainly help.
My only two knocks on Allen is less INT and fumble issues. And, the second would be improving how to recognize defensive alignments at the line of scrimmage

HC Bobby Slowik, current OC with Houston
OC Joe Brady
Asst HC/DC Mike Macdonald, DC of Ravens.
I think this would be a good mix (Brady's knowledge of Allen, Slowik's use of Stroud, and a solid defensive mind from the Ravens tree)
I think having Slowik as HC and giving Macdonald the Asst HC title with a little more pay to run the Defense increases his likelihood of becoming a HC in 2 years after bringing some of the creativity and toughness of a Ravens philosophy.

Brady as OC. Don't promote Babich. Get an offense minded HC and get an experienced DC.

I don't like the call, but I understand it. Allen has had a few games (at least before halftime) where he has thrown an INT that turned into points.
A fumble or INT is probably more likely given that Allen is at his best in those 12-25 yard passes. Anything over 25 yards on deep passes is not his strength.

Not much. With that said, yes, he was solid today. Still, all-time great QB's are clutch. Allen is like Marino, Favre, and Rodgers. Amazing tools but somehow (even when he plays well), his team most of the time can't put the whole thing together for 80% of key losses. Today was an 80% loss game with Allen failing to make a few key passes.

Sure. This has more to do though with a swiss cheese 2nd half defense, a crappy field goal kicker, and a HC over his head.

Keep Brady as OC. Get an offense minded head coach and hire an experienced DC.

Good post. The only point I would argue is some games the running game is non existent (despite overall numbers) and other games (see the Broncos game) both Cook and Murray were running well both in total yardsand per carry, and we went with a pass play on 4th and 1 and several 3rd and 2.
It's a good running game with some inconsistency. I am glad to see more RB use on passes.

I guess we would need a definition of what "turning it around" means.
For me, the Bills must make the playoffs and win at least one playoff game for me to consider a "turnaround."
This likely means Buffalo has to go 4-2 here on out and finish out 10-7 in the regular season.
We already had 3 silly losses from poor coaching, poor management, and poor play (first Jets game, Patriots, and Broncos).
Listed below are my 7 "musts" for a a mini rebuild/retooling and to keep Buffalo competitive. If they can do these things, I would go another year with McDermott and Beane.
If not, new leadership is needed.
7 Things McDermott Must Do
1. Make Playoffs
2. Win at least 1 playoff game
3. Joe Brady has offense scoring 24-35 points every game, or we get a top 5 available OC with proven success for next season by February 2024.
4. McDermott has a time management/situational guy helping him in tight games/situations. Seriously!
5. Bills cut bait on overpriced veterans. There is a plan that restructures Allen and Diggs as our cap currently is not friendly for 2024.
6. FA focus is in depth. Draft focuses on a promising #2 WR prospect, a RT, and and secondary help. We return/retain guys like Floyd and Epenesa or key pass rushers we can afford.
7. A DC is in place that is not from the Panthers. The person has had success as a DC and is hired by February 2024. This defense is complementary of McDermott's philosophy. I'd like to see better tackling, less boneheaded penalties (12 on the field) and creating turnovers more frequently, but, we do have a good defense.

Help me understand the promotion of Joe Brady.
A Quarterbacks Coach probably helps a QB with their overall preparation and play.
Josh leads the league in turnovers. Turnovers in the form of interceptions thrown and fumbles are not a good thing.
Josh Allen has played poorly the past 6 weeks. Besides Josh the QB Coach probably spends most of their time helping the QB increase their confidence, improve the reading of defenses, and get the most out of their QB.
So, we think the QB coach who is involved in Allen getting worse at his job, who worked under the fired coordinator who sucked at his job, is the most reasonable person to give a promotion to have his hands even more involved with Allen?

Dawson Knox is not very good or consistent. This is why we can't trade him. He is a $4 million dollar player that has not given more than 50cents worth of results, and the Bills decided to pay him $14 million.

Near mid-field on 4th and 1 (with Josh struggling to make easy passes and creating turnovers via poor decisions), the Bills decide on a deep pass with the Bills down a TD. Out of all of the plays possible, we went deep pass.
Josh is 6'5. We can't muster a 1 yard run with his size or Murray who still is averaging about 5 yards a carry when you take out his one long run, tonight.
Josh has to know to audible out of that call if Dorsey is thinking deep pass. A $40 million per year player has to know that.
McDermott can not turn this ship. He knows it. Why did we use all 3 timeouts the last two minutes of the first half? Okay, if it is 4th quarter and we need the ball, I get it. Instead, our inefficient offense and QB makes the decision that our best play is to throw to our $ 5 million dollar, 5'6 with shoes, backup wide receiver. Kudos, Josh. Two horrific interceptions. Those are 2018 and 2019 Allen decisions. Not acceptable anymore.
It may sound like hyperbole, but how much better will next year's team be? Way over the cap, key draft picks not producing enough, aging core roster, and coaches and players that can't get up on MNF, in Buffalo, against a very average team overall.
Beane, McDermott, Dorsey, Oline Coach, and Dline coach need to go.
As for Allen, he looks more and more like Dak Prescott. Some wow games and moments. Talented but can't maintain consistency.
We are wasting Diggs. Cook is another suspect 2nd round pick. Espensa, Rousseau, Elam are all examples of not getting production out of draft picks.
Time to punt this season. We are nowhere close to the 13 seconds team.
Bills are middle of the pack and will probably stay in that area with current leadership and strategy.

Nothing. I would need to see a string of 5 wins in a row with less turnovers and great offense and defense against several quality opponents before I would give this team consideration as a true contender.

Hmmm...defense shredded. Poor tackling. O-line inconsistent, and the Kincaid turnover was a killer. Running game not established and the Bills had 10 days of preparation.
Time to rebuild. Keep Allen, Torrence, Diggs, McGovern, Bates, and Edwards. Keep Shakir and Kincaid. Keep Cook and one of the ver running backs..not Gilliam, a wasted spot. If possible, lower cap hits on Allen and Diggs.
Find ways to lower Dawkins salary, get rid of Morse, and eliminate S. Brown. Do not resign Davis. Harry and Shefield are Jags.
Keep Oliver, Jones, Rousseau. Resign Floyd. See what can be done with Miller's contract. Offer to Epenesa but at like 7 mil per year. Lawson is done.
Hopefully Milano returns healthy. Bernard is serviceable. Almost other linebackers are cheap backups or replaceable. I would keep Dorisn Williams for a longer look.
Tre White, Poyer, Hyde, Neal, J Norman, Hamlin are done or replaceable.
Keep Douglas, Benford, Jackson, and find a way to lower T. Johnson's contract.
Need an Offensive Coordinator and possibly a new head coach.

Tonight is it! A win on the road let's us know we can beat anyone, even, a team that is tough for us.
We know we can go head to head against the Chiefs. We have beat them before. They have nothing outside of Kelce for Mahomes.
The Dolphins loss let's us know they can't yet beat good teams on the road. All three losses have been to good teams on the road, including our smashing of them.
The only team the Bills have really struggled to match up the last couple of years is for the taking tonight.
Yes, it is one game on paper. The coach and player speak of "one game at a time" is out the window on this one.
Bills win. We lead the division and should hold off Miami. A loss means we can not sustain enough consistency to win 3-4 straight tough games, including a few road games.
A win tonight means we can go in and under the pressure can beat a tough road team.
Tonight is the next hurdle. Clear it and we have a puncher's chance to come out of the AFC.

Great story about togetherness and the power of connection and relationships through a shared love of sports.
By all accounts, a very nice, hardworking, involved, and solid person.
Alas, a below average football player.
I think the NFL would be wise to use him in some capacity for various causes that the NFL partners and sports. I believe he would be great at it. And, we would not have to worry about the ramifications of the optics of having to cut the guy.

What teams based off their record, momentum, upcoming schedule, and style of play, makes them overrated or underrated?

I like Bills odds against any teams, but I believe Ravens and Cincy are the two teams that would be least ideal playoff matchup.

Bottom-feeding? No. The new and realistic expectation is to compete for a title though.
Poor game management, play calling, lack of utilizing players, and major inconsistencies on both sides of the ball is what is frustrating.
Sure, we are an above average team and likely playoff bound; however, the last 4 weeks is looking like a pattern that is going to hinder any realistic shot at being s contender in the end.

We beat Miami with solid offensive and defensive play. It is our most complete game of the season. Bass hits 3 long field goals. Allen does not have an interception. The running game is consistently humming. Lots of sacks, a few turnovers created, and one of Von Miller, Spencer Brown, Harty, Sherfield, or Poyer receives a game ball.
An announcement on the radio and ESPN says the Bills have extended McDermott and their Primary offseason target is resigning Gabe Davis.
