  1. I am just grateful to be in a situation where we are getting pissed with some evaluators thinking Allen is the 7th best QB.

As others have said, Brady and Rodgers have the hardware, rings, and sustained greatness.

I love that Allen has Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert, and the next tier below with Murray, Prescott, etc.

At the end of their careers, I believe Allen will be either the Montana or Elway of his generation, or the Brady, Manning, Brees, or Rodgers of his generation.

As long as he stays healthy, we have a future HOF'er.

Between now and 2027, Allen will get the ring, an MVP, and be in the conversation as a top 5 QB year-in and year-out. He will keep the Bills and himself in the conversation this next decade.

  2. No doubt the Wonderlic was eliminated for several reasons.

    1. The first probably being that it was not necessarily an accurate predictor to compare processing a quick word problem to processing a game situation.

    2. Teams likely use a shorter test similar to the wonderlic for players they invite for a formal visit.

    3. The NFLPA has likely pushed the narrative that the Wonderlic is inherently biased or flawed and therefore may cause an inequitable testing experience for those who are not white.

I bet these were among the top 3 factors for the removal of the Wonderlic.

  3. Top 2 talent at the position and no worse than a top 4 QB in the league for the next decade.

Brady and Rodgers are two best and out the door soon. And, if Allen has similar line play/weapons he is top 3 MVP candidate.

Allen, Mahomes, Herbert, and Burrow all produced similar stats and are the best 4 young guns going forward. Allen is just as good as a passer as these guys, a better runner, and his leadership and personality for a team works perfectly with Buffalo.

Allen needs a few linemen, more consistent RB play and a few more short passing routes to his running backs in his tool bag. Give him those and he will be even better than a top 10 offensive player in this league.the next 10 years. A Super Bowl win and at least 1 MVP is very doable for this guy.

  4. Please know I am being playful and am not very political. I just think these names would be a way to poke fun at Washington DC as a whole.

    1. Washington Hogs- It already is a historical nickname in their history. Regardless of political affiliation, politicians "hog" the spotlight, media coverage, and people's money. And, the most compelling reason: bacon. The team could serve many bacon and barbeque dishes that would make for a nice eating experience at the stadium.

    2. Washington Bullets

They already had this name for their basketball team. Just think of all the types of jerseys you could come up with that has bullets in a logo. It would be so controversial and exciting. That is a lot more exciting than the WFT.

  5. Thanks for the insights. It was just nice to see when our strongest aspect of offense (the passing game) was struggling that the team was able to capitalize on another team's weak run defense and prove we can do some running in key situations.

The running game and run defense's ability to make stops will be that extra 10% to push toward a win against a great opponent and in a close game in two weeks time!

  6. Singletary looked like a lead back on multiple drives today! So cool to see the team eating up clock and moving the chains on the rare day Allen did not have his "A" game.

If the Bills can run like today and get the usual Allen, then we got something.

Besides the Falcons being a lower tier team, what did the OL do to generate the consistent running game?

Bottle that formula up, copy, and paste it into the gameplan each week!

  7. Both Falcons and Jets are games a legitimate Super Bowl contender ought to win. A winning streak and closing out the division on their own terms is what I think is best for Buffalo's playoff run.

I am rooting for that and Jonathan Taylor being in safety/health protocols if we match the Colts!

Better yet, let Taylor get 20 carries for 40 yards against Buffalo so our run defense creates more confidence!

  8. There are great players on this list, but there is not one player that I think "hall of fame" when thinking of the very best.

Boselli, Ware, Hester, Andre Johnson, Jared Allen and Patrick Willis (for short periods of time) were among the best at their positions, so these would be the players I would most consider.

Still, I don't think any of these players were significantly more important individually to their position or team's success than Tasker.

  9. I love Steve Tasker. He was my favorite Bills player during that late 80s and 90s run.

While I think he was great and was the most versatile special teams player of his era undoubtedly, I have a hard time mentioning him as an "all time great."

I admit I am one of those guys that wants to make the Hall smaller by kicking out good and really good players already in.

If you are going to put people in, then maybe there is a tier system.

    Tier 1 Bills- Bruce Smith

Tier 2-Thurman Thomas, Jim Kelly, Andre Reed

    Tier 3-Steve Tasker

  10. What are some indicators or stats that you consider to be important "small wins" in today's game against the Bucs?

Here are some "small wins" I hope to see today.

    1. One running back on the team gets 50+rushing yards and scores a touchdown.

    2. The Bills hold the Bucs running game to 150 yards or less today.

    3. Bills score a touchdown each half and score at least 17 points.

    4. Bills front 7 gets 2 sacks on Brady.

    5. Gronkowski does not score 2 touchdowns.

    6. Daboll and McDermott limit frustrating decisions to two or less.

What "small wins" do you hope to see?

  11. There is nothing wrong with being loyal to your team. That is perfectly fun and fine. It is what makes being a fan so exciting or frustrating. I am first a fan, but some fans are blind by loyalty.

With that said, completely laughing off the logic that this coaching staff, the lack of execution and adjustments, and the inability to take advantage and win key games are facts. Fair or unfair, these facts confirm that the McDermott Era has reached its ceiling.

Yes…this ceiling is better than what we experienced the previous 20 years. Just recognize that borderline playoff teams or 1st round exits is the future until ownership, the GM, coaching staff, and inability to adjust will be what keeps this team in the above average but not great/excellent category at one of the most opportune times the Bills will have to contend.

Don’t shoot a fairly accurate message. And, if you want to do so, a well-thought response, rebuttal, or a different lens with rationale is appreciated.

  12. There was absolutely no reason that the Bills should have lost this game! For this reason, the Pegula’s need to clean out some of the coaching leadership.

The odds of screwing up so many times in a row in a game is probably a million to one. That comes down to poor coaching and players not executing. When players screw up and coaches can not adjust, then this means that McDermott’s coaching ceiling has already been reached. He and his staff are average despite the team’s history

Great Coach gets 10-14 points in the situation below.  Good coach gets 6 to 7 points. Replaceable coach gets 0-3 points.

2x’s in the last 6 minutes the Patriots gift wrapped two very doable red zone touchdown opportunities. And, Allen gets sacked, an idiot TE false start, a missed field goal, and passing the ball when running could have led to more manageable play calling rather than 3rd and long and 4th and 14 situations.

    No adjustments…means no Confidence!

The team lost at home with the best fans, better receivers, and quarterback, unbelievable opportunities to win, and the defense knowing in advance that 95% of the team’s plays would be runs. Mac Jones may have set a record in the last 40 years with 19 pass yards! In other words, our defensive line knew what was coming and the Hoodie decided to be completely one dimensional knowing the Bills could do nothing about it!!!

    Winning Culture

Yes, there was wind and stats were not going to be as big tonight. The Bills had every reason to win and own the division. It was blanking Monday Night Football. The team had this game circled all season. No amount of clapping, rah rah, or “process” makes up for fumbling the game away.

Bad coaching, players aren’t executing, and we can’t build our offense or defense with underwhelming line play, time management issues, and not getting the ball from a 30 million dollar QB not getting the ball to Diggs or a line not capable of digging in and getting 10 yards on the ground with some old-fashion tough running.

    Ceiling has been reached..new voices

A weaker AFC, Derrick Henry going down, the Chiefs inconsistencies and Ravens, and the inability to beat playoff caliber teams, execute at key times, and the lack of consistency on the lines means this is McDermott’s ceiling.

Time for Bills to make big changes!

  13. It never hurts to bring someone in. Anyone know which of the guy's has played a similar/scheme role as White?

I would want someone who does not create penalties and has a quiet leadership/lunchpail approach.

Are one of King, Hayden, or Kirkpatrick like that?

  14. It was for this very reason that the Bills had to go “all-in” this year. Allen’s contract going forward will make each season harder.

A mauling guard, a better running back, and doing something to stop talented running games with DT/DE that punish was the recipe.

Instead, the Bills wasted this season and were f***** gobbled up by the Colts because the team decided to “play not to lose” with acquisitions rather than play to win.
