  1. Short of a Superbowl, I think they need a change. There's something wrong with the way this team conducts itself. They are flat and unprepared and seem to have volatile emotional swings throughout the season and within individual games. I mean, that happens, but it's too much. The lack of consistency is their biggest problem.

Or they realize he's finished and there is no reason to hog up a roster spot with a guy who can't play anymore.  Or at least at the moment.

    That's literally what I said.

Is this similar to the Russ wilson situation. Don’t want to be stuck with him next year due to injury.

I don't think so. I don't see the Bills doing anything with his contract until after next season regardless. The dead cap is too high until 2025

I'm surprised that Von's being a healthy scratch didn't make the headlines. I mean, Diggs sneezes and it's national news.

I feel like everyone has suspected that he's not fully recovered and the Bills finally realized he wasn't going to play himself back into shape so it's not a huge surprise.

Shakir has shown he can work anywhere on the field. I think maybe hes a little slower that youd want in the slot and it requires Josh and him to be on the same page.

But id certainly like him to be that for us this year.

Maybe he and Josh need to spend a lot of time this offseason getting on the same page then...

I just posted in another thread Allen and Diggs are close but aren’t clicking 100%.  In the last two weeks Allen and Diggs are 1-2 yards short or 1-2 yards long on a few throws that would SIGNIFICANTLY alter their final stat totals.

I also think our passing game has suffered with Knox on the field more than Kincaid.

Also NFL coaches get paid a ton of money to figure out how to stop the Bills.  I think the blueprint is to take away Diggs and hope Allen gets bored taking the easy stuff.

And with our skill positions sometimes the “easy stuff” ain’t easy.

I mean, it's why I said Dorsey was a bad fit. His temperament was too much in the same vein of he wants to win with deep passes. This offense finds stuff that works then you'll see 3 deep passes. There was a 3rd and 7 today.. it didn't look like Josh ever looked less than 15 yards downfield.

I'd also love to see the players whomever is catching the ball be brought together in the offseason for extra work. I recall a quote from Josh's QB coach that first year where he went off about why Josh did it and maybe some other guys (Darnold who had the same QB coach and was working out with Josh).. he said that some guys do it and get it right then keep doing it 100 more times and do it every day after that then some get it right and think they've got it and move on..

This team needs to a few hundred more reps in the offseason.

It’s not just this game.  He’s been off the past few weeks at least.  I’d argue it’s been most of the season.  But it’s tough to know.

It goes back to last season.

you might be right on that comp. Or even Trubisky, who really shouldn’t even be in the league.

if I am Wilson, I go to a team with a real QB developer as the coach and try to get back in the game.

If Wilson wants to keep playing in the NFL and really wants to do everything he can to succeed, he should take what he can get to be QB3 in SF.

  8. Man, the Panthers situation is so bad it doesn't even get a rating.

Miami's roster is currently more expensive than the Bills.... and they pay Tua after this season or next. I hope they pay Tua 60 million a year. I don't think he'll ever win a Superbowl

Tua will get his extension this offseason. It's now the norm for QBs you believe by year 3 to be your long term starter to get it after year 3 and this is his 4th year (he had to show he could stay healthy). That organization is also 110% confident in him being a perennial top 5 QB.

Regardless of what he gets in the extension, next year he'll be playing on the 5th year option which takes his cap hit from ~9 million this season to ~23 million next season. Personally, I think he comes in right about where Herbert is at around ~52 million a year.

Also, Waddle will be going into the last year of his contract and will likely get paid well for a wide receiver which is north of 20 million. Next season is Miami's last "budget" year.
