  1. As I said earlier, the NFLPA has instructed players to save money because they anticipate a lockout in 2011. Belichick is smart, but he can't predict the future.
  2. We'll see how much other teams think of him, if he's picked-up by someone else. If he ends-up on the Bills' PS...
  3. That player would seemingly be Derrick Burgess. But Burgess has been playing LDE, which is where Warren, who is oversized for 4-3 DE, plays. Maybe have Burgess at LDE, move Warren inside (where he'd be undersized), and have someone else play RDE? That's a lot of moves.
  4. He got arrested just for beating-up a woman? He's good with Goodell. Even moreso if charges are dropped.
  5. At this point, he'd be useless for any other team, having missed all of their off-season, training camp, and pre-season.
  6. You could at least have used the "they put me at a 90 degree angle" or "helping [the best LT in football] out with TE's and RB's" things. Those were truly despicable moves by the Bills.
  7. The NFLPA recently told players to save their money, because there could be a lockout in 2011.
  8. How'd he call out the franchise? For not giving into his salary demands the moment he made the Pro Bowl?
  9. Well, there ya go. He was just going to play-out his contract, likely poorly, like last year, and then be gone. And this moron was "shocked" that they traded him? LOL! Oh and this part makes me LOL: "Reid said Peters also will get more help from a tight end or running back than he got in Buffalo." Wow, $10M/year and you're still going to give him help?
  10. Compared to not working and thus getting paid, I think he'd do it. But again, the question I have is whether they can do this and have him available for the first game, or if they have to wait until after the first game?
  11. I can understand it if it's for after game 1. The Patriots do this all the time.
  12. BFD. Having just joined the team, he can't know the playbook well and will probably be inactive every weekend. Plus he hasn't played in over a year and is coming off an Achilles injury.
  13. I won't have a problem with them having to spend 1st overall money on an unproven player.
  14. Moving to a 4-3 makes a lot of sense for them. They have a weak/thin LB'ing corps (for a 3-4) with the losses/declines of Vrabel, Bruschi, and Seau, and they have a lousy secondary. They'll need to create more upfront pressure to compensate. However Warren is a 3-4 DE as well and Burgess is getting long in the tooth and is coming off an injury-plagued season. And who will be the other DT?
  15. I think the plan was to have Walker start until Bell was ready. And Bell was ready...until he got injured. There were really no other moves to be made once the decision to trade him was made, except for having a rookie play LT, and the 4th best rookie LT at that (outside of trading more picks away to move up to #8).
  16. I thought that only applies if he's signed after the first game? Because players on the opening day rosters are guaranteed their year's salary.
  17. Were you excited when Schonert was made the OC? I wasn't. I also wasn't happy with the offense last year. This move may turn out no better, but at best we were in for more of the same.
  18. Sure the Bills have made more wrong moves than right, but not every, or even close to every, move was wrong. We'll see whether not paying Peters $10M/year was a mistake or not.
  19. They also have Greg Ellis, but he's getting up there in years. The problem for the Raiders is their offense.
  20. The Patriots have a lot of age on their roster and are living on borrowed time. They've also drafted pretty poorly, hitting on a few picks. And Wilfork is going to command Haynesworth-type money. Lastly, if it's a top-5 pick, that's a lot of money to invest in an unknown player, and trading-out of the top-5 is almost impossible now.
  21. Seymour didn't "fit their system?" LOL! He WAS their system. This is a big loss for the Pats, and while the Raiders got fleeced with a 1st rounder, as I said, it's in 2011. The Pats will need all the good picks they can get by then since the team will be a shell of its former self.
  22. Reportedly for a 1st rounder in 2011. Good to get him out of the division, and hopefully the Raiders will be good in 2010 and the pick won't be as high as it will probably be next year.
  23. So your argument is that the Bills get everything wrong and the Eagles get everything right. Is that it? We'll revisit this at the end of the year.
  24. I really don't understand why so many people's panties are in a wad over the Bills cutting Stupar. Sure the dude caught a lot of passes, but most were against players who also got cut yesterday as well. And he'll probably end-up on the PS.
