[Who Would You Trade Up For, And How Far Would You Go Up To Get Them?]

I really think with cap situation and our obvious need to stockpile cheap talent, trading up in the draft (again) would be a huge mistake.  If we had held on to the last couple of 4th round picks who knows if some receiver, linebacker or db depth would have prevented the performance gaps in those areas?

[Looks like Poyer is more than willing to leave and play for Miami of all places.]

I don't understand how any of this is a thing

1) Poyer is a free agent

2) He is supposed to do things to drum up is own value- this is likely his last contract

3) He and his wife are from Florida I think-maybe they want to go home?

4) No offense to Buffalo, but if you are not from there it may not seem a great place to move-I myself prefer palm trees to snow

5) The Bills likely love him but are tight on $$-if he can get a big pay day it's likely elsewhere

This is ludicrous-sounds like when SD fired Schottenheimer for whoever remembers or St. Louis fired Vermeil for Martz.  The only way you fire McD is if you are ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN you are upgrading.  So for like Andy Reid- yes absolutely but not an unproven Daboll

This article makes some good points- these huge QB really deals can harm teams caps.  I am not sure what other options there are...I mean you have to pay Josh Allen..

I think it's a moot point in any case-

-Dome stadiums are considerably more expensive to build (and likely maintain) than open air

-Buffalo is going to struggle to fund any new stadium

In short- Bills couldn't afford a new domed stadium

Are you sure we are aware?  I haven't seen many offensive coaching adjustments= some coaches are stuck on what they want to call and try to ram their gameplan home.

Elite D?  Sure, against bad teams, but the Colts made us look soft.

Elite ST?  Average at best punter and average Punt returner

I don't think it's an accident that his Jersey sales are surging mainly after signing the big extension.  I don't know about the rest of you, but my closet is littered with failed Bills Jersey purchases of what turned out to be temporary Bills employees.  (McCoy, Spiller, hell I have a Travis Henry jersey!)

It's nice to know we will have him for the long term

Ha!  Fair enough it was more an idea to reward useful posts by I would guess a thumbs up count (say every post that gets 25 thumbs up counts or so)  No issues either way!

Are we sure post count is the metric to be used for levels?  Seems a reward for the people with most time on their hands?

In fact do people really care about level?  Seems silly to me

But if you really are doing this again, then give posters of useful, interesting things or breaking news awards.  Not junk posts, goofy comments, or rewarding those who comment on every post, sometimes repeatedly, to boost up a post count.

Let me confirm this as a native western NYer who has moved out West.  In and Out Burger is fine.  But the burgers (and Pizza and wings and subs) are so much better back in WNY that it's not worth even thinking about.  Can't tell you how much I miss a good Bill Gray's burger!

It's bad news for every franchise when a team overpays and ups the market for a players price.  Agents get cocky and players at the same position demand even more money.  CJ Mosley, Ragnow, Jalen Ramsey, Dak, Elliott and some recent safety deals are examples

Sure it's great for the players, but bad for the teams

Not sure having Star back is anything but good news.  The McDermott 4-3 or nickel "system" relies on a big 1 tech DT to crash the line and free up LBS.  Last year the dudes we had playing DT did not do that very well and the defense suffered against the run-I still shudder at that horrifying 1st Kansas City game thrashing last year.

 

This year we can dare teams to run and maybe have a better chance of stopping it!

You guys won't like this, but Stephon Gilmore.  Great player, miserable team.  If he was just a couple years later and paired with TreD on this roster....well who knows:)

Not sure I'm a fan of a Whaley going on record throwing Nix under the bus- leadership needs to take ownership of mistakes.  That said, he probably isn't making this up- at the time EJ wasn't regarded as a sure fire 1st round pick as I recall.

I'll never forget some of those 1st practices I got to attend at SJF college EJs rookie year.  EJ strolls out, Tom Selleck mustache and some swagger and I'm thinking- well-- maybe we got something here!  Then he proceeds to throw every other pass into the stands and we all knew then we were in trouble-- again.

Articles like this make me thankful even more for McBeane!
