Good questions; I do think GMs ask who the team is targeting when making trades.  If you lie or are lied to, it sours future dealings.

Yes, I'm always wary of the post-draft spin as well, but in this case either Beane was happy with any of the four WRs who went between 28-33 or he knew the other teams weren't targeting Coleman.

the only thing we know is that at pick 33 we did not want mitchell over Coleman.

That's interesting since the #33 pick only belonged to one team.  So that one team made a total of 6 offers?  Or 5 teams tried to scam Beane, offering to trade a pick they didn't own?

    Ummm. Wow

5 teams wanted pick 33 and gave a good offer to Beane for it

You mean to move out of 33, right?

    Clearly Coleman was their guy.

Yes wanted the 33rd pick. I don't buy it 100% because it's a great way to say Coleman was there man.

  3. 4 dead in charlotte shooting because gun shot cops serving firearms possession warrant on mostly peaceful man.

    Quote

Monday marked a dark day for Charlotte, as four officers died and four more were hurt while they were working “to keep the city safe.”

The chief of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department confirmed an officer with the department and three members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force were killed in a shootout Monday while serving a warrant in east Charlotte.

CMPD Officer Joshua Eyer was critically wounded earlier before he died at the hospital, the chief said. He leaves behind a wife and a 3-year-old son.

I’m sure that at any moment, one of the pro-gun people who believe that guns make us safer will post data showing that the more guns per capita, the fewer homicides.

I’ll just hold my breath waiting for their data

it's been nine hours. hopefully you kept your promise and held your breath.

on the flip side, now that you're dead dead and not just brain dead alive you'll be just as likely to vote Democrat at least twice in each election.

    😁

i tried listening to a few clips that were released early and just grossed out by her desire to try to make sounds way to complicated. using fortnight as a time, or anything like that...nah.

if i want women in music to sing about heartache i'm back to Stevie Nicks. How can anything beat this? Stevie Nix live and for the first time singing it live on camera to Lindsey Buckingham who she wrote it about and he broke her heart?! His dead eye stare at her as he plays guitar...

I actually love that part of it.

I'd way rather see her beautiful, smiling, joyful face than a shot of Chiefs fans in the crowd or of a grinning Tony Romo or a walrus-mustached Andy Reid.

I am not at all amongst the anti-Taylor crowd. Her collective 47 seconds of air time during a 3.5 hour broadcast don't bother me in the least.

I just look for reasons to say eff KC

  6. He is the most unlikable guy in the NFL because he was already a megadouche but now all of these tweens eyes are upon him about being a good man/role model because crazy taytay think her #1873839392 option of a man is a good one.

Based on 4 decades of living here.

Here is some recent local news stories from the last few months off the top of my head:

Stepfather rapes and murders 13 year old stepdaughter and dumps her in the woods

A woman from South Florida travelling to Central Florida apparently as a drug mule for her husband, was car jacked in broad daylight, then robbed, murdered, and her and her car were found burned in a construction lot

An 18 year old kid shot and killed a random woman, then came back to the scene a few hours later and killed a 9 year old girl and a news reporter who was covering the first murder, also seriously injuring his cameraman

I could go on and on.......there is some evidence for you

Those are headlines from all across the country, bub.

That’s what is making it horrible.  People moving there because they work online and don’t pay state taxes.  Same with Las Vegas.  No state tax.  Never cold.  It used to be a great place to live. I found it unbearable over the last 2 years and it’s getting much worse by the month.  Warm weather no tax states getting over-infested

We moved to St George Ut and life couldn’t be better.  I drove to Vegas on Thursday to watch the draft with the boys.  Once I hit the outskirts of LV on the 15, dead stop of traffic at 1:15pm.  Took me 70 minutes to get a location 10 minutes away.  My buddy is a limo driver for Aria and is looking for a new job because he only gets 3-4 runs a day now, when he used to get 8-12.  Stuck in traffic all day.

opinion but reinforced with first hand observation and informaiton.

I've watched Florida go from a nice place to live to a hellscape of rejects from other states and other countries in the span of my lifetime....its gotten especially bad over the last 20 years. Add to that the fact that Global Warming has turned the state into a Hurricane magnet over the last 8 years, I don't know why anyone would want to move down here at this point.

We used to have a weather man down here when I was a kid who used to say on the air jokingly: "Welcome to Florida, now go back home!" I wish more people would have listened to him!😀

Fastest growing state over the last so many years. It must be horrible.

As a former Toledo resident I'm offended. I also offending myself for being a Toledo resident.

I can't stand Toledo. But it's a situation where you can't say that unless you lived there (city of Sylvania for me).  It was a unique place to grow up in the 90s with the Storm, 4th of July fireworks (and the monster truck that'd go in the lake), cosi, cedar point nearby.

I'm so glad I left. I hated Sylvania. Abercrombie and Fitchville of douchebaggyness.
