There was another college QB who was drafted as a QB but was told he would make a better TE. Perhaps we learned our lesson when we neglected to sign him as a TE then...this is a makeup for their past oversight.

I enjoy the process of being a Bills fan. The thought of going 4-1/5-0 and getting in the playoffs when you are counted out is thriling to me. Week to week, it's the process.
Good i think no matter what happens this season we seem to be better than last. You would think that what we have seen the last 16 years we would be thrilled with these results.

We stole him from the Lions who just signed him to their practice squad I guess he has to remain on the active roster for 3 weeks but I think he will likely stay for the season to protect him. I like the potential and at 6'6" I think TT might see him better.
Interesting. Didn't realize he literally (i.e. this past weekend) just decided to make the switch to TE and was signed to the Lions' PS. So he hasn't practiced at TE at all since High School. Let's hope the project works out.
We had a great switch from TE to LT once. Our new regime probably would have re-signed Peters.

Bills are pretty much screwed...KC and Denver are the teams we are going to need to catch and they have 2 game leads on us currently with better AFC records

Somehow, even with the 8th scoring offense, we didn't out score the opposing team in 5/11 games. I think that's the obvious point.
The stat your looking for is Time of Possession, we aren't to far off from the opponent in that area but I would like to see it get better. The big thing with Sammy back is it changes the way other defenses have to play us so we will get more 1st downs I believe not sure they will be on 3rd but we may get them. Our opponents do have 17 more first downs than we do and that ain't bad but I would like to see it better. But we ain't as bad as some of you think. We have sucked for a long time I get it. But I see a difference with this team when guy's go down others step up, Our depth has gotten better although I think the Whaley haters won't want to hear that. Our team tends to adjust better than in a long time the Rex haters won't want to hear that. I think we are in good shape and not just this year.

The "issue" isnt any single player. The Bills as a TEAM need to learn how to consistently win. Plenty of games where the offense scores more than enough and we lose. Plenty of games where the defense is serviceable and we lose.
Then you have games where we beat ourselves with penalties and just piss poor play as a TEAM. I still say the arrow is pointing up and I have a good feeling about the direction we're going in.
Get healthy. Limit penalties. Play smart. 10-6.

Cost my buddy the playoffs in his fantasy league. His other QB was TT. He picked up Sammy at my suggestion but didn't start him this week. He would have won with those two. I find a lot of non Bills fans think we will make the playoffs and Sammy will be the difference especially if Harvin and Woods get and stay healthy.

I mean, the defense is 12th in points allowed this season. Clearly there's a problem somewhere. Maybe the offense being 19th in yards.
This makes me feel stupid all these years I've been watching the scoreboard and it's actually the team with the most yards that wins stupid me.

Can't say I disagree. I like him as well and I understand that he will likely never be a top 10 QB passing and he doesn't have to be but our D needs to step up If we are to be serious contenders.

Sammy is friggin good! Taylor is just so skittish to pull the trigger. I gotta think, between A Lynn and David Lee, they could work harder to coach him up to read the field, and throw, fast. Taylor has weapons now, Sammy is an incredible talent. With what we saw today, Taylors... reluctance, coaches gotta work on that. Taylor has the arm and the accuracy, enough. Hes got the weapons, hes got the talent. Its now a matter of a quicker read, and just let it fly. I gotta think Sammy was the hot read on alot more than three play calls today.
I actually think TT is doing exactly what the coaches want him to do at this point.

The NFLPA spends a lot of money defending those who break rules and those players who hurt other players. It has opposed mandatory safety equipment.
The NFLPA's goal is like an agent - attempting to get highest percentage since it is union's best interest not necessarily players.
They could try to hold out on issue but the players who do not have interest in this may not agree with lower percentage for that 'benefit'; same thing for getting "No Fun League" to allow players to act like clowns - all players may not agree with lower percentage for that. They need to prioritize what they want and realize this is a zero sum game and will need to give up something to get something. The NFLPA got a lot of restrictions on preseason and off season work which has caused a decrease in the quality of the game. If they wish less preseason game they will need to agree with more regular games; if they worked with NFL they could get longer schedule with more bye weeks and more recovery time in season but NFLPA is not a partner of NFL despite words.
It is not legal in ANY city - some cities/states will not prosecute but it is still federal crime and drug policy is determined by federal government despite wishes of pro pot advocates.

I am with on the indecision when it comes to Taylor. I say sign a RT in FA that will be your starter and draft a day one starter talent at WR. Keep Lynn on, bring back the talent that has shown progress this year. Give the crew one more year. Now if the Bills finish 8-8 and 3 of these final loss' are the Miami Dolphin first game type, well I may sing a different tune. I want to believe we are watching a QB develop. I don't believe you get the same experience being a back up as you do being the actual starter. Taylor is in his second season with two different OC's. Points to be considered heavily.

Right. Thats the thing with Tyrod, With the current crop of QBs out he is definite a starter. I think hes more expensive then some of the other caretakers because he still has upside. With 2 seasons as a starter there is a good possibility he will get better next season as well, whereas with the Cutlers and Romos of the league, you know how good they are and its downhill from there. Tyrod can still progress and develop consistency. He has the arm strength and athletic ability, just needs to sharpen up his accuracy and reading the defense. I think thats what the FO sees in him. Potential. Not that much potential in an end of the road Cutler.
I would love a healthy Romo. But I don't think that exist.

Someone asked who brought Romo to Dallas and I thought it was Parcells so I said so.
Another Poster corrected me Payton. Now I was unsure so I looked into it and found that Parcells thought that Romo was too small(kind of like you intellect seems to be) to handle the weekly pounding that an NFL QB must endure.
So I stated that I was wrong.
And for some reason you begin rambling about how Romo is great and for this era I would say he's an excellent QB.
But that has no relevance to anything I was saying.

Me Too. But there are open receivers and the ball doesn't go their way. I have to agree with that but all I can do is guess. I think he still has trouble seeing the whole field at times but has gotten better. That may not be the case tho because we don't know the game plan.

I think he still doesn't always see over the middle. But I do believe he has gotten better and hopefully continues to but I'm not sure what the case is and people need to stop attacking Clay over the matter.

What does this mean to the Bills? Cowboys destroyed the Bills in two Super Bowls and keep on making the playoffs. Bills haven't been there in 17 years. Romo is better than every QB the Bills have ever had. Including Kelly ... who won as many Super Bowls as Romo.
