Josh and the defense bailed Dorsey out who tried to give the game away with his horrendous play calling.
I don’t think all the play calling is horrendous, but there are moments. I will never understand throwing it on 4th and 18 inches, Josh is 6’5” 240. If you are going to pass put him under center and make it look like a sneak. And why a jet sweep with a new guy?

IT WAS AGAINST THE RAIDERS.
Our problems HAVE ALWAYS stemmed from playing our rivals and not much weaker teams.
I'll revisit this post in a few weeks when we get to the heart of our schedule.
Good teams are supposed to beat up on weak teams. Games against divisional rivals are always tough.

Love the notes, but when did a shovel pass become a fumble? Isn't it considered an incomplete pass?
Could have caught it and then fumbled.

Been on a jet ski twice. Both times someone else on a jet ski was acting like an idiot and hit us. Can still feel where the second one skipped off the top of my head. That guy was going extremely fast with three kids on board in an area with a lot of people swimming. I'll never forget how the kids skipped like rocks about 50 yards in different directions. Luckily I was the only one hurt with a minor concussion. I jumped off just before they hit us and tried to go underwater. Happened to fast to get lifejacket off so I popped back up just as the jet ski got hit and got hit in the head. Was told I was extremely lucky I'm not dead.
A friend of mine owned a Jet Ski rental, his biggest problem was people hitting each other.

How could you not love the New Jersey Generals, and a guy whose name I can't recall from Niagara Falls High in the early 70's played for the Generals.
The New Jersey Generals were a football team in the USFL. The basketball team that lost over 16,000 games to the Globetrotters was the Washington Generals.

I of course busted his chops about that and he replied that he was Josh Sr. and the other was Josh Jr. I chuckled but then he hit me with this little tid bit, this guy is a Dolphin fan. A freaking Dolphin fan. I asked him if he really wanted the job. I had a mind not to. I like his price, he was very professional, reviews are great but he is a Dolphins fan.
I decided to give him the job when I remembered that it is no longer the 70's or early 80's and the Dolphins are no loner our real rivals. For the last 20 years it has been the Pats, but I now think it is becoming the Jets, just my .02
So what would you have done?
Do you have a big deck?

I saw a guy break his ankle in a tug of war, so my first reaction to this was, please don’t anyone get hurt. My second was, how stupid.

What else are the Ravens going to say, at this point at least?
How about nothing?

I posted this in another thread, Ian Rapoport is reporting today that the Ravens have stated that they are committed to Lamar Jackson as their franchise QB and will begin working on long term deal when season is over. I can’t figure out the link, if you don’t believe me just Google it.

You don't need an agent to tell you what to ask for in a contract, just a pair of eyes to see what the true elite QBs have gotten. An agent would try to talk him into accepting one of those, finding he's having none of it, and then leave. Which is why I said the Ravens should franchise him and shop around for a deal and see what he's truly worth.

Saw on Twitter that Dolphins fans are blaming their problem and Tua’s concussions on Milano. You know “the back injury”. Milano pushed Tua with one hand on his shoulder, his head didn’t appear to hit the turf that hard. Something more is going on with Tua. No one even noticed this last concussion, again his head didn’t appear to hit the turf that hard.

I'd have to disagree on the Jets' offensive talent statement.
I like Breece Hall, Michael Carter, and Zonovan Knight at RB, Elijah Moore and Corey Davis (behind Garrett Wilson) at WR, I like Tyler Conklin and Uzomah at TE, and they have several legit offensive linemen (Brown, Tomlinson, Fant) plus Alijah Vera-Tucker is looking very good and I have not written off Mekhi Becton either.
All the Jets need is a QB.
Except “All the Jets need is a QB.” isn’t that easy. There isn’t 32 people in the world that can play that position competently. In any given NFL season there are a handful of great QBs, a handful of good, a bunch of game managers and some guys that are bad. If it were easy to find a good QB every would have one. Sure you can win with one of the guys that fall into good or game manager category, but you have to have very good players around them. Jets aren’t that team yet.

Well, since you asked, Christopher ... I think he should have taken the offer originally given to him before he proved to be an underperforming, injury prone
running back... quarterback. And if there is a GM/owner out there who gives him a huge fully guaranteed contract, then they can enjoy 3/4 of a season of success and falling flat on their face in the playoffs for years to come. You seem to be missing the point, it is about money and winning. The NFL is a business. It entertains us. We pay for it. Whether Jackson is a running back or a quarterback is not the point. Winning is what pays. If an NFL owner thinks Jackson can win they will pay him. Haslam paid a quarter of a billion to a sexual devient. Wilson thinks he’s a celebrity that really doesn’t need football and yet he got paid. When you own a franchise I’m sure you will make better decisions than the 32 billionaires that own NFL franchises. But the fact remains you are not one of those 32 and one of them will pay Lamar Jackson hundreds of millions whether he has an agent or not.

If there is one player who should not be representing himself, it's Lamar Jackson. What a dolt.
So what do you think? That Jackson will be out of the league next year? Or is it more likely that some billionaire owner will give him a huge fully guaranteed contract? Yeah he’s the dolt.

I find no solace, nor do I revel in anyone’s trials and tribulations, except of course Brady and Belichick.

The two teams I don't wait the Bills to play in the first round are Miami and SD. For arguments sake that's the Bills don't get the first seed. Still think the Bills would win but it wouldn't be easy. I'd much rather play the Jets or Pats because their offenses are not good.
Who is “SD”?

I hope Murray has a speedy recovery, don’t wish injury on anyone (I have yelled “rip his head off!” occasionally, but that was directed at Brady). What happens to that franchise? Murray will be out most on next year and has a big long term contract. Kingsbury is signed through 2027. Do they eat his contract? What a mess.
Hypothetically… Brian Daboll gets the boot….

Schematic geniuses are few and far between, it remains to be seen if McDaniel is one. What happens more often than not is defensive coordinators get enough film and find the tendencies. Remember the Wild Cat? Remember the Run and Shoot? Remember when June Jones was a schematic genius?
