  1. One guy to assign the workouts....one guy to count the bodies on the IR table.
  2. Idea: Trade the entire stadium, the sh-tty road jerseys, and all the players straight up for Rivers and the throwback uniforms.
  3. YEP, AND THEY MISSPELLED THE CURRENT NOTRE DAME QB.
  4. McNabb...that would be a nice upgrade.
  5. Brandon Spoon played at UNC and was injured spooning....
  6. The Bills would love to have Rivers any day of the week.
  7. CarolinaBill, your Rivers pic if awful...try and put up a Darian Durant picture....be proud of your UNC Qb heritage loser.
  8. I'd also like to see competition in mock drafts....couldn't resist! (sarcasm fellas, I like the poster, he shows good moxie)
  9. Yeah, we agree the K-Gun was multiple...it could do it all...was just saying it was spread sometimes. I also agree in competition at all positions. Brohm v McKoy or Clause or Lefevour or Bradford!
  10. They were multiple on offense (K-Gun)...many times they lined up Keith McKeller at TE and Metzelaars at the other TE and ran tight bunched formations. Most times, it was traditional 1-back sets w/ 2 wides and 2 TEs. (more pompous factual info I suppose)
  11. He is putting out a mock draft. I am sorry, I should not make fun of people who don't know football, but produce mock drafts. 10 lashings please.
  12. As to a spread vs traditional offense....the spread can work (see Colts, Saints, Pats), but is better suited for the Domes but it can work anywhere. The K Gun was basically a spread formation, so if you have a great trigger man you can run it. The best example of the traditional offense would the Cowboys with Emmitt, D Johnston, Aikman, Novacek, Irvin, and Harper. Again, that works too...but any darn offense revolves around the trigger man. When we find our QB, we can run whatever we want b/c it is all about the QB in the NFL. Yes, there are the few exceptions, when the D is so dominant, but those teams historically have not sustained dominance, whereas, the teams with great QBs can re-load year after year. I'd like to see Brohm get his shot at the role. He has the measurables, toughness, intelligence, leadership qualities, and arm to get it done and he is ready.
  13. I mean this really says it all. If you don't have a clue about the spread offense, please keep your mock to the privacy of your own closet and imaginary friends.
  14. and for those suggesting Schobel plays a true outside LB, you are out of your mind. he would simply be a rush end effectively and a DE on 1st and 2nd down. he is not covering anybody except maybe on the odd RB on a zone blitz. maybin could easily transition to OLB in a 3-4 with majority of the emphasis on rushing the passer from a variety of surprise locations. and tebow could easily take a snap under center...as a former high school QB, those of you who comment on the shortcomings of Tebow regarding "under center" and "reading coverages" are totally off base. he is 6'3" 235, smart, athletic...he could easily LEARN to take snaps under center....he could easily LEARN to read coverages....THE QUESTION IS CAN HE QUICKEN THE RELEASE. IF HE CAN, AND KEEP SOME ZIP AND ACCURACY, HE IS JIM KELLY....IF NOT, HE IS AN OLB IN A 3-4 OR TIGHT END....MY GUESS IS THEY SHORTEN THE RELEASE AND HE IS A PRO BOWL QB ULTIMATELY.
  15. THROWBACKS! THROWBACKS! THROWBACKS! THROWBACKS! Absolutely!! Toss the current road uniforms in the dump.
  16. Levitre MIGHT play LG and that MIGHT be OK, but why waste Incognito who can only play Guard? Plus, Hangartner is OK at Center and proved valuable there last year. Levitre played Tackle in college and in the NFL last year for a game or two and could easily play the right side. My guess is Hangartner aint going to the bench, sorry guys. Incognito would kill somebody if he were signed and then benched. Levitre is the obvious RT candidate.
  17. Kiper projects the Notre Dame QB to us. Now let's get to work.
  18. LT - Draft best LT avail 2nd rd (obtain LB McClain or QB in 1st rd) LG - Wood (solid, smart, and tough) C - Hangartner (serviceable, intelligent, durable, and experienced) RG - Incognito (solid and tough) RT - Levitre (solid - played tackle in college, has good agility, and smarts to play RT - not prototypical bc lack of height and arm length, but agility and athleticism would suffice) Brad Butler as 1st reserve off the bench and the others can fight it out in camp for the other spots. We are NOT that far away up front. Add a stud QB in the draft to compete with Brohm and Fitzy in camp.
  19. anyhoo, he has a chance and he has an above avg arm...may the chips fall where they may
