  1. Trent Edwards has been villified on this board as Captain Check down, and haveing no emotion. He throws maybe the best pass of his NFL career after a beautiful play fake. 70 yards TD Lee Evans. Then wow he shows emotion and looks genuinely pumped, chest bumping and high fiveing his teammates. All after taking a hugh hit. Passer rating of well over 100. I guess there is nothing that will makes some people happy on this board.

    UN-BILL-EVIABLE

  2. I can't believe you don't realize this yet, but maybe you can't see it: You are so amazingly tiresome with your one-note whining and crackpot theories on why Spiller was drafted. Anyone reading one of your posts can know exactly what it will say before reading it.

    Should have drafted an OT.

Ralph made them draft Spiller to sell tickets.

Defensive backs should never be drafted high.

and then you try to compensate for your incessant kvetching at the end with your "GO BILLS!"

...Sorry to go off on you, but it really gets on my nerves after a while.

Just what gets on your nerves Doc? A Bills fan who enjoyed what he saw last night. One that is positive and realizes that the draft is over. FOR ALL THOSE OUT THERE STILL WISHING AND BITHCHING THERE WILL BE NO FIRST ROUND OFFENSIVE TACKLE THIS YEAR. Please get over this fact. The draft is over................... So be a fan. Have fun with the Bills this year. Or not the choice is yours. Just stop trying to drag those of us down that actually enjoy the Bills. For this is truly getting on my nerves.

  3. He'll be released, and they'll get nothing. That's my prediction. And it could've been done differently. If they were not inclined to pay him this year, why not try to trade him before the draft, when his value would've been at its highest? There is a good chance that at least a few 4-3 teams out there would've been interested. And the organization IS a joke. Yet another player plays chicken with the Bills and wins, and this time the Bills get nothing. You think it's a coincidence that Schobel all of a sudden today wants to keep playing football, after the Bills tell him they're "moving on" (whatever the hell that means)? Not a chance - Schobel knew exactly how to get exactly what he wanted, and he got it. Just like Peters.

And IMO all of this begs the question of why the Bills insisted on the 3-4 switch this year, without the players to fit that system. A more cynical mind might suggest that it was party of the "new" front office's longevity scheme - a brand-new defense without the players to run it is a ready made excuse when the team doesn't perform. As is failing to draft a franchise QB, or a LT to protect him...

Did you know that the Bills' ILB coach has never coached in a 3-4 defense? That the Bills' QB coach has never coached professional 4-down football?

I'll repeat: this organization is a sick joke.

Then go route for a different team if that is how you truly feel. Or do you just get off on trying to put people down. The front office put in excuses why the team did will not do well. When they win this year do not cheer for them. Just remember what a joke they are. And convince yourself why you should not be a fan of this team.

  4. It's not that I assume they'll suck, it's that people need to settle with their expectations on players like that. It doesn't matter who it is, it's always the same unfounded optimism by what feels like a majority of posters. I wish the best for Batten and Moats and anyone in a Bills uniform, but it seems like every few days there's someone posting about how excited they are for Player X to get his opportunity for no good reason. Besides, are we really getting hyped up about a tweet? Seriously?

The first one I remember this being about was Alvin Bowen. There was no reason whatsoever to be even remotely excited about his presence on the team, yet so many were. Then Bowen got cut after one year and Nic Harris came along. An undersized converted safety who scouted poorly, the masses talked about him like he was the next Cornelius Bennett, yet he couldn't even cut it as the next Coy Wire. Now I hear the same about Moats and Batten yet these people have undoubtedly never seen this guy play a down except for maybe a 30 second youtube video they watched the day after the draft. If you went to SDSU or JMU and you saw him play frequently then that's one thing, but the unfounded and baseless optimism just gets old after awhile.

No where near as old as the persistent negative attitude of quite a few posters. I will personaly take the positive over the negative. I will chear for them and give them the benfit of doubt. Rather than just say they suck.
  5. Im not he !@#$ing sucks. I will say it right now, I hope the guy gets taken out asap. I am sick of wasting more and more games/ years on POS QB's.

Darth is name calling the only thing that you are competent at? I hear more of he sucks, he is a POS, looser from you than anyone on this board. I cannot remember a positive statement you have made.

It is of my opinion and only my opinion I do not profess to haveing inside knowledge about anything with the Bills.

TE should be the starting QB to start and complete the season with the Bills. He can play. What QB in the NFL would have succeed with the situation in Buffalo last year. I dare say none. If anyone but TE is the starter come opening day. It will be a very long season with no hope for glory. If TE is the starter and some of the other pieces fit and come into play, ie the 3-4. D. Bell. Viable option at Wide out, and C.J. Spiller. This team will be competive. Like it or not Bills fans without TE running the show this team will be horrid next year, with him we will be competive.

  6. If I owned a team and some clown tried that **** with me, I just let him sit and fine his ass. Then I wait till he is a FA and tag his ass...hell maybe two years straight just because.

!@#$ these clowns. They are EMPLOYEES, Time for the owners to re establish that fact.

One of the stupidest things I have read on this site. Every year players get cut with 3 or 4 years and millions of dollars left on there contracts. Teams do not honor contracts so why should players. If D. Revis was your son you would tell him to do the same thing. Do not put your health and career on the line while getting paid way under scale. This is where teams screw up all the time. Trying to make there star players on team friendly contracts play on the cheap. I do not blame him for sitting out. So once again Darth you have written an uninspireing shallow post. At least you are consistent.

  7. has a better arm than...

    :)

Yes it's a cruel point to make. But the Trent Edwards' crowd around here had it coming. I predict this noodle-armed wuss is gonna be taken out of his misery and mercifully cut. At least he can continue to devote his full time to his true passion golf, and no longer have to pretend to like playing in the NFL.

Does calling him names like noodle arm and wuss make you feel better. Are you a close personal friend of his? How do you know what his true passion is? I just think you posted to just make yourself feel better by degrading another person. And really have no idea at what you are talking about. Am I a fan of TE not really. Do I think he will be the starter on day one. Absoleutly, and with the talent behind him he should be.

  8. C.J. Spiller was the best pick available for the Bills. I have no problem with it. I do not care if it was Mr. Wilson pick or NIx/Gaileys pick. He is now a Buffalo Bill. He is by far and away my favorite draft pick by the Bills in many, many years. I do not understand what is wrong with drafting a player that your opponents must fear on the field. And the fans will absoleutly love off the field. Maybe Mr. Wilson new what he was doing.

  9. I do one a year and try not to repeat.

    Week 2 @ Packers

    Week 3 @ Pats*

    Week 7 @ Ravens

    Week 8 @ Chiefs (Halloween)

    Week 11 @ Bengals

    Week 13 @ Vikings

    Week 15 @ fish

    Week 17 @ Jets

Been to games in Cinci, NY & Miami so they're out. The Halloween game is out - I do have kids. I've been to a game in Minnesota, but it was a Super Bowl. Mid-November in Minny ain't really floating my boat.

So it's down to one of the first 3. I'd love to do Green Bay, it's their home opener and tickets already look wicked expensive. I don't have much desire to go to New England until we start beating them again. So I'm leaning slightly to Baltimore, which will feature many of my good TBD friends.

    thoughts?

It is a no brainer. Go To Green Bay. It is the away game I would like most to go to. I have been to games in Oak. and Phoenix. The history of that place. Cannot put a price on that. Have a great time what ever you decide. Be safe.

  10. How can people honestly vote for Spiller?

No matter who is on the board or off the board. I would pick C.J. Spiller either way. We will not be in the superbowl this year. Why not pick a talent that does not come around that often. Marshawn days in Buffalo are uncertain at best and probably numbered. Fred Jackson cannot, I repeat cannot take a pounding like he did last year for very much longer. I would almost be surprised if he was very effective this year. Do not get me wrong. I love Fred J. I bought my brother the FJ throwback jersey. I just think that tank is almost empty.

  11. I dont think anyone denies that Spiller won't be a great back in the NFL. His speed is outrageous, his juke moves remind folks of Barry Sanders coming out of college and on top of all of that physical skill he has one of the most solid characters in the entire draft.

It still would be a bad pick for Buffalo. Even if they end up trading Lynch, you can find a decent backup RB in the 3rd or 4th round or via FA . Fred Jackson doesn't have a lot of NFL mileage on him for a 29 year old and will be effective for at least the next 2-3 years.

We desperately need help along the Offensive and Defensive lines, and its clear that Nix knows this.

Spiller is going to be a damn good NFL runningback, it just wont be for us. Lets hope it's not for the Pats, Jets or Fins either.

I for one would do cartwheels if the Buffalo Bills picked C.J. Spiller in the 1st. I would be pissed if they left him on the board. Outrageous talent. Pure football speed. Why go with the status quo of a decent backup. When a special, special talent is left on the board. Buffalo is not going to win the SB this year. Put yourself in the position to win in 3 years from know.

  12. I'd have to say Spiller. If we take a freaking RB with that pick, I'm giving up.

I am on the oppisite side of the fence with you on this one. I understand your consternation in picking a running back. They truly are a dime a dozen. C.J. Spiller is a different cat all together though. 52 TD amazing statistic is that 21 were for over 50 yards. Football fast. I love Fred Jackson as much as any Bills fan. What a performance he put up last year. The only player in NFL history to rush for 1000 yards and return kicks for 1000 yards in the same season. Also he lead the league in total yards. I fear this is his last year to a a top flight player. He is 31 and he took a beating last year. He gets hit harder than most running backs. I also think Marshawn is part of the future of the Bills. I am not counting him out either. With all of that said. C.J. Spiller would be my pick at #9.

  13. Has already said he's probably more suited to a 3-4 than a 4-3 you don't throw double digit sack guys out the door

Amen. That and the fact he's woed 25million fish on his contract. Schobel is not going anywhere for anything less than a 2nd round draft pick. If he is traded. I can not see him retireing. He might be the one forceing Buffalo to move to the 3-4 defense. I think he will be a monster in the 3-4. He is a good football player, who makes plays for the Bills. I think

Schobel is going to make a lot of Bills fans happy this year.
