  1. For some reason I can't post this in the Tailgate Section, so I'm going to post here and maybe it can be moved.

    Who's in?

We are going to begin planning details for the weekend probably within the next couple weeks. Current plans for the weekend are to include a tour of Lambeau Field, meet 'n' greet party, and a Sunday morning tailgate. If anyone is interested in helping out, go ahead and post a message here or send me a PM.

We are also looking for help with this year's slogan. Here is what we have had the past two years:

    2008- Bills Stampede into Glendale

2009- Bills Rock 'n' Roll into Nashville

2010- Bills Shred Cheeseheads in Green Bay

  2. These players are camp fodder guys that were brought in to fill out the roster during camps. The coaches either didn't like what they saw from these guys, or saw enough to know that they weren't what they needed and let them go. Nothing more, nothing less. Coaches use this time to evaluate guys that may be called upon later in the year to fill depth spots in case of injury, or they are brought in with hopes that they may have found a "diamond in the rough" player

    Yep Exactly..

  4. Firstly, this is not one of those threads evoked by the availability of a player with name recognition.

It is a thread borne out of the reality that though many of us approve of the off-season so far, the reality exists that the Bills simply do not have a solid answer at the important left tackle position.

That said, there's a deal in the works involving Alex Barron. He is a left tackle, who was drafted 19th overall in 2005. He has been a disappointment so far but if he could be acquired cheaplyhe could at least be added to the mix.

Well He would fit right in here with the False Starts......

  5. As we all know run blocking is much easier than pass blocking. Anyone who has played the game will agree. I see the run game as a strength but without decent pass blocking the offense will again struggle. You gotta get rid of the 8 man fronts and spread the defense in order to score points. Hopefully the new offense can figure out a way to spread the defense.

I agree Run blocking is a lot easier that pass protection... however some of the blocking that Levetre and Bell did gives me some hope for this year, the looked prety good on several plays.

  6. (not that I feel like any of you "journalists are half as elite as you pretend).

Maybe not elite, but Both JW an TG bring something to this board that the average poster can not..

    First hand knowledge!!!

We can not ask the stars of our team questions face to face and can not sit in the press room and ask Ralph, Buddy, or Chan questions. They are a great resource to this board and people should appreciate the participation that they offer here. And they got to that posistion from hard work, much like the rest of us ho have suceeded in our respected feilds.

    just my opinion....

  7. Singletary: Willis may go down as "one of the best"

Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on May 4, 2010 3:08 PM ET P.%20Willis-thumb-250x185-10832.jpgI remember the first time I watched Mike Singletary coach and Patrick Willis play.

It was 2007, at the Senior Bowl, and the NFL Network mic'd up Singletary, then an assistant head coach in San Francisco. Singletary tutored Willis all week and liked what he saw.

Three years later, the two men are the faces of the 49ers franchise. Willis' $50 million contract extension means the linebacker will be around for a long time.

"I am very proud of what Pat has been able to accomplish. He is the epitome of what a 49er is all about," Singletary said Tuesday. "Before it is all said and done, he may go down as one of the best to play the position."

That means a lot coming a lot from Singletary. In 2007, after Willis got off to a fast start, Singletary was asked to compare Willis to his idol Ray Lewis.

"You're looking at a guy that has the right to be called a great player, and you're comparing him to a kid that's looking forward to being a great player. There's a difference in that, and I think it's exciting to watch the transformation," Singletary said in October, 2007.

    That transformation remains on schedule.

And we were one pick away!!!

  8. TG comes on this board, not under some alias, and traffics with fans on his own time. Some punk, hiding behind a alias screws up a good thing for all of us. I say ban him from the page. If you don't agree with an opinion, fine. do so with some class and act responsibly. I'm sick of all the punks swearing and intimidating others because they can do so in anonymity.

Maybe they do it because that's the only way they can feel good about themselves.....what's the matter Leonidas, was somebody mean to you as a little kid and now you have to work out your demons on TSW?

Hey Tim, you have a ton of support on the wall. Don't let a coward punk keep you from posting again.

    Well Put :nana:

Looks Like Fridays at 3:00pm @ ESPN for Bills fans

  9. I do one a year and try not to repeat.

    Week 2 @ Packers

    Week 3 @ Pats*

    Week 7 @ Ravens

    Week 8 @ Chiefs (Halloween)

    Week 11 @ Bengals

    Week 13 @ Vikings

    Week 15 @ fish

    Week 17 @ Jets

Been to games in Cinci, NY & Miami so they're out. The Halloween game is out - I do have kids. I've been to a game in Minnesota, but it was a Super Bowl. Mid-November in Minny ain't really floating my boat.

So it's down to one of the first 3. I'd love to do Green Bay, it's their home opener and tickets already look wicked expensive. I don't have much desire to go to New England until we start beating them again. So I'm leaning slightly to Baltimore, which will feature many of my good TBD friends.

    thoughts?

I am going to the Packers game... And you are right the tickets are out of this world, my girl freind is a Packers fan so it should be a good weekend, the home opener would be a great way to sneak a win in for the Bills!!
