  1. While I'm glad that we were able to keep a drive going with the fake punt last night part of me can't help thinking wouldnt we have been better served saving that play for a game during the regular season during a crucial crossroads in the game?

I'm not saying it wont work again and any good team we play will always be aware of the possibility of a fake regardless of whether we ran that play or not. However the total surprise of it and the design of the play might've been better off saved until it really counts.....

  2. Wheres his opinion on the "failed trade" of Kyle Orton whom without there's no chance his prognostication of a .500 season for the broncos comes true? We may have made some bad draft choices and dumb decisions but in my opinion they look like real idiots for trying to trade the guy hoping to start the "PR Machine" tebow who cant even nail down the 2nd string job.....

I'm not happy for the hit on Jones however it was nice to see Stevie and the other guys get fired up about it. That type of attitude has been sorely lacking on this team for a long time......

  3. Its some kind of poetic justice..... jets select LB/DE vernon gholston w the 6th pick in the 2008 draft.....he ends up being a total bust and they cut him.....what do they do? Go and sign DE/LB aaron maybin the number 10 pick in the 2009 draft who ended up a total bust and cut by the Bills...... I think the most TELLING fact in this whole thing is that NO ONE claimed him off waivers. I heard his contract wasnt bad for the next couple years and if a team really thought he had something they'd have put in a claim for him. I think he'll be cut and part of the reason he's there is to gain some knowledge on our defense. Perhaps thats part of the reason as to why they cut him so early. Before they install a lot of the defense.....

  4. I was impressed. He really looked like everything I hoped/expected he would be. We've needed a beast like him on our team for a long time. Gailey/Nix are definitely onto something when they say he has an "edge" to him and that it should carry over to other players on the team........

  5. I am going to apologize up front if this has already been discussed before but I think it may be a good thread since alot of us are not from Buffalo and tend to travel during the year. I would like people to post known bill's bars (and address if known) that are in other cities. I personally missed last year except for online games since I moved down to Houston area(Katy TX to be exact where Tyler Meyers was born) and would like to watch a few games around bills fans. If this thread is worthless mods please erase but I will be a sad panda

I used to travel to Houston a lot on business and spent some time w the Houston Bills Backers at Christians. They are a great group of people and very cordial. I'm not sure if things have changed but they used to have the back room to themselves and there were specials on buckets of Labatts.....

Northern New Jersey Bills Backers - we meet at Duffys in Paterson right on the border of Hawthorne.

  6. I think most of you will agree that we are in need of OT help and in particular ROT. I know we swung and missed on Clabo (also letting other notable OTs sign elsewhere while we pursued him). Kaczur was released about 4 days ago. I know he was injured last year. I'm not sure if he's healthy or not. I read he was cut because they wanted him to take a paycut. He's 32 not young but not ancient. I would think if he's healthy he's worth at least a look. His price tag cant be that big and he might be the perfect bridge till Hairston, Wang or someone else we may draft is ready to take over. Having come over from the pats cant hurt us either. I remember thinking this after I saw he'd been cut. That would also leave Pears as a backup swing tackle.....

    Just an idea........

  7. Seems like belibitch is chasing "name" players. These moves make sense if he feels they're a couple players away from a SB. Personally I think theyve done their best work w no name/home grown "name" players. Supposedly their draft wasnt that great this year. Either we can beat them or we can't. These two clowns arent going to make the difference. If they were "ex" bills maybe (as they always seem to play like pro bowlers against us)......Im more concerned w who we sign and dont sign....

  8. When I first read about it on PFT I was a little pissed. Typical NE move. I think he maybe good in a 4-3 but I dont think a total game changer anymore. I hate to say this but in all honesty its not like we're even w NE and this move will put them over the top making it hard for us to beat them. With or w/o haynesworth we havent been able to beat them. As pointed out in an earlier post, NE has plenty of D lineman. Honestly its a no brainer - a 5th in 2013? Why not take a shot. I also suspect part of belibitch's motive maybe to get some quality play out of him then move him for an earlier draft pick as we know he's good at stockpiling draft picks............

  9. I actually live exactly two miles from the Stadium but havent seen a game in the new stadium. My experiences in years past were that Giants fans are generally not that bad. There are unruly ones as there is in any stadium however its the jets fans that are pretty bad. I used to go to the Bills jets game every year but stopped after it became not worth it to deal with the jets fans......

  10. W/O predicting which games we will win and lose specifically I think we go 8-8. We play in a tough division. Personally I'd love to see us beat the pats at home and see the fans tear down the goal posts afterward. I think we'll be better but I dont think we turn the corner till next year.....

  11. Thanks for the info ... so our only choice is to pay over $100 for Chinese sweat shop made jersey's licensed by the NFL or pay 1/4 the price for 'immitation' jerseys made by the same Chinese sweat shops with no financial benefit to the Jerrry Jones of the world? ... mmmmm let me see should I reward Jerry Jones' financial debt? Should I help the poor Hunt family out in Kansas City? I know they would not be ripping us off by charging all that extra money ... perhaps it goes to support the poor and needy in their communities or to reduce the price of tickets or maybe even to offer a free suite for each game in the season to their local ARC or other group that helps adults with disabilities ... or do I spend less for the same quality ....

Questions questions ... how much of my hard earned money should be going into the bank accounts of the wealthy owners. At least Bills games are at least 1/2 as expensive as the games near me here in NJ ... GIANT/EAGLES/JETS games cost me at least double what it costs me to go home to Buffalo for a Bills game ...

I will let all of you guess where my new Bills jersey will be coming from (my only UGLY Bills' jersey from the last decade, a Moulds jersey was purchased from the NFL and after a few washings the number started to fade ... just an additional hint in case you needed one) ....

Anyone in NJ want to go in on a bulk purchase??

    I'm in NJ

  12. Im curious to hear as to how they look. It says authentic however when you look at the enlarged images the numbers look like they're ironed on not sewn on. That could be cause they ripped them off the Bills site I don't know. However even if they arent sewn on if theyre decent quality I'd be inclined to buy a couple at $45 rather than one at $85.........

  13. I totally understand where you are coming from on this one. With that being agreed on I think things are different now with this team. I have more hope with this coaching staff than ever. Adding one very good free agent for the off season would not be surprising to me or unreasonable. My fingers are crossed and would love to see this happen. I have a very good friend that lives in Atalanta and he mentioned to me the other day that the word around there is the Buffalo Bills are very interested in landing Claybo if the free agency period ever begins.

I see good things for this team in the future. I have faith in Chan and the new coaching staff.

I hope what you're friends are hearing is true and share your opinion about the future and coaching staff!

  14. It sounds like they think they're set at RT w Pears. I'd love it if they went after Clabo especially after reading that article. If they decide to go after a RT he sounds like the type of guy they'd want.......

  15. I don't mind the "Bills" on the front in fact, I kind of like it. However, I dont like the chargin buffalo on the back. I LOVE the charging buffalo logo however I think its just too much having it on the jerseys. And on the pants? Unecessary. Other than that I like the uniforms although Im not sure about the widening of the stripe on the helmet. I havent gotten a good look at it yet........
