  1. I was less than thrilled when Buddy and Chan were hired. I like many of you, was puzzled at some of the draft choices and lack of FA signings and going into the season with the same tackles. Maybe this was the only way they could truly see what they had and what they needed going forward. Guys like Stevie have stepped up. Even whitner has looked better (still not worthy of the number 8 pick). The line isnt all pro but has looked much better. I like Chan I think he is very good at using what he has and designing game plans. I think he holds players accountable and they arent afraid to admit mistakes (see the release of Trent and Cornell Green)nor take a chance (Merriman). People laughed at this team yet look at them now- fine 2-8 but nothing like cincy or dallas. the attitude has changed. Honestly I'd like to keep flying under the radar finish the year as strong as we can and bring in some more pieces to the puzzle for next season and catch everyone off guard.....

  2. LOL @ disaster. 1.7 million is peanuts in the NFL. Who cares.

I agree. What did we lose? At least they proved they're willing to take a chance and make a move at making the team better. Its not like they chose Merriman over someone else or we missed out on another productive player because we claimed Merriman. If his injury wasnt that bad and he'd suited up and played then everyone is saying how great the move was. The money didnt come out of our pockets and Ralph can more than afford the 1.7......

  3. I like Buddy. I think hes determined to do it his way and he doesnt care what other people think. I wouldnt call him arrogant by any means but he seems very confident in his plan. I was as skeptical as any of you with the decisions that were made not to draft a QB or OT (Wang not withstanding). However, I dont see any of the guys that were available to them lighting it up. Clausen is not doing well. McCoy is getting some hype...Bulaga is starting at RT due to injury and Davis is starting at RT but for a team no better than ours.... I know theres some FA's we could've signed but whats the point in signing a guy who will be past his prime by the time we are a viable playoff team? I don't know just some thoughts......

  4. PFT said that an anonymous GM said he expects a boatload of claims on Moss including the Patriots. They mentioned he fits the jets motive of collecting vet WR's and that the dolphins could put in a claim which may prompt the Bills to make the only noise they can in the AFC East by claiming him.......it still makes zero sense for the Bills to claim him lest they can trade him to someone else outside the division for a draft pick........

  5. According to PFT if Merriman passes his physical he will be put on waivers today

maybe the reason we didnt put in a claim for Gibson is Nix knew Merriman was going to become available today (he surely must get info from the Chargers) and prefers to sign him?

Maybe its just a coincidence.... just thought I'd put it out there.....

  6. I may be wrong, but at this point I believe that only means the 49ers have put in a claim for him. As far as I understand, all the week's games must be played until the final decision is made, and the deadline for other teams to also put in a claim is Tuesday at 4pm.

the Eagles also put in a claim but the 49ers have less wins...

  7. I never make predictions because there are far to many factors involved.

Don't like the Kansas City Chiefs for reasons that go back to 1967

I hope the Bills CRUSH this team!

    Bills 28

    Chiefs 17

Have a great Day and go Bills :worthy:

I like your prediction! It's great to have you back (if only for a brief post) I hope all is well!

  8. I watched his Weds press conference on the Chiefs website. He spent the first few minutes talking about the Bills. He seemed genuine in his praise of the offense until he praised our D Line and Linebackers then it was obvious even though he looked sincere he was avoiding any type of Bulletain Board material. He did say that Chan has been a HC a lot longer than he has and knows what he's doing..... Cassel also gave us praise but seemed very nervous in front of the media.....

  9. GOOD. It should be the pats. How many times have we gotten screwed over the years????? And bet your a*s that if yesterday it was our D standing up Heap and Poz ripping the ball out of his hands and the call went in our favor it wouldve been all over espn that the ravens got screwed...........

  10. I'm not against Fitz I like him. I offer one name: Derek Andersen. He had one good season in Cleveland and they gave him an extension and he has sucked ever since. I think the Bills will likely draft a QB if they think he's their guy and Fitz is the perfect guy to have in that situation. The kid wouldnt have to start right away Fitz can still play and hasa great mentality for the kid to learn from.....

  11. I don't know if its feesible or not but I'm all for anything that will get use out of this guy. He won't bring any trade value. The only thing that bothers me is they won't even use him on Special Teams. If he's such a gifted athlete why haven't they been able to make use of him on ST?

  12. Something smells fishy.

I thinky they are using this as a we dont want to admit we screwed up on this signing. . .

I agree 100% that was my first thought. In fact, when Chan said that Howard subbed for Green in the end on sunday because he was "a little banged up" I thought that was total BS
