  1. I know there are many on the board that like Chan Gailey and many that don't. Florio on PFT does a weekly segment on the top five coaches on the hot seat. I usually check it out and would never expect Chan on the list. However, he listed Chan at number 5 today. Its strictly his opinion and not based on any facts or sources. He said he did not expect Chan to be on his list but since the Bills have been simply awful and show no signs of life he could be "one and done." Based on Ralph's statements I'd say theres no chance Chan gets fired but I thought I'd post this anyway....

  2. Mike Florio is very accurate in what he writes. He cites sources and always gives credit to other writers when he posts information that they have already posted. He also acknowledges on the rare occassion if something he posts turns out to be inaccurate. Perhaps what he was stating was his opinion on the radio show. If you read PFT they've posted several things about both the Farve and Moss situations. Nowhere on PFT do they pronounce Farve guilty. They have simply reported what is or isnt taking place with regards to the NFL's investigation and the Jets/Sterger's cooperation. With regard to the Moss story from what you wrote he was stating his opinion which sounds pretty dead on- a Franchise QB is going to have some imput or at least be consulted before trading one of the teams best offensive weapons. PFT initially reported Casserly's assertion about the Moss/Brady confrontation. Then they posted King's response that the information was false and Florio even went on to point out he was with King as he called around trying to ascertain the truth saying he was thorough and diligent before refuting Casserly's statements.

  3. I can only think he's not good across the middle. Why else wouldnt he be sent over the middle on occassion? Andre went across the middle all the time but also went deep and was effective there too. I was a WR in HS and college and all I did was go across the middle. But I was no deep threat I didnt have the speed. The middle was what I did best. There is definitely a mindset you have to have to do it (or in my case mental deficiency) maybe Lee doesn't have it? I dont know but can't imagine him flat out refusing to run those routes....

  4. I don't think anyone major. I think the next cut will be if they need to make a roster move due to injury. They're not going to cut Maybin (yet). I think part of the reason they're keeping him off the field is because if they let him play and it will be obvious he can't play.......

  5. Go to the Bills official website. Theres a section (under fans I think) that has all the Bills Backers groups in the country listed. It gives you contact info and the location of the bar they hang out at. I've used it before when traveling for business and its very helpful. All the groups I've met were all very nice people. Good luck!

  6. while I don't object to the trade, I find it highly questionable because the Bills could have made this trade pre-draft with Seattle who wanted him at that time and gotten the same pick this year. Considering all the holes on this team a real RT would have been nice

The Seahawks had two 4th round picks in 2010. Assuming they had traded us the first one which was the 13th pick in the 4th round the best player available we could've gotten (assuming we'd have drafted him) was Aaron Hernandez the only two OT's selected in the fourth round were Bruce Campbell at number 8 by the Raiders and Joe Fox at number 30 by Detroit. I hope we make good use of the pick next year....

  7. I hope this puts to bed all the nonsense that we didnt get nearly enough for Lynch. First off Moss is worth more than Lynch even at this point in his career second I think the Vikes are a little bit more desperate at this point than Seattle or Green Bay. Moss will certainly mean more to the Vikes offense with Farve as QB than Lynch is going to man to Seattle.......

  8. Or maybe they go WR and LB instead? What makes you think that this Front Office/Coaching Staff would now decide that they need o-line and QB help? And Lynch was a standup guy too when he started here, and up until last season, he was one of the better young Backs in the league.

You're right.....we are now going to miss the playoffs this year and next year without Lynch. 2012 is a voidable year for him which means after next season he's a FA. Why not get something for him? Maroney was worth only a 4 plus the Pats had to give back a 6th. No way he'd have resigned. He DIDNT want to be here....

  9. your right, Gailey came here with what, 3 years of head coaching experience like 20 years ago in Dallas, and Nix has experience as a scout, not a GM.

And what is this plan that they both have for the Bills? What have they shown anyone so far that they know exactly what they are doing right now? They had a full offseason to evaluate players from last season from game film, they were so impressed with Trent Edwards pre season that it only took them 2 weeks to cut him. They were so desperate to bring in a back and player of Spillers calibre that they give him the ball on offence 10 times. Was it the fact that they can see so much from Kelsay so far this year that they felt they needed to run out and lock the guy up for 4 more years?

What positions can you honestly say Gailey and Nix have improved this offseason? Is it the improved offence? The improved Defence? Special Teams? Even the DB's that were such a bright spot on last years defence have looked pretty bad so far this year and haven't even picked anyone off.

Perhaps you'd prefer to be a CFL fan

  10. What a bunch of cry babies..we need picks and don't need 3 Rb's one of which is one more suspension away from???

    Now he's someone elses problem

EXCELLENT POINT! Ive made numerous posts today as to why I feel this was a good trade. In all of the "points" I made I forgot that he is one dumb move from what would likely be a year long suspension.....

  11. Theres a lot of valid points being made too many to quote. However, as I understand it, He can void 2012 giving him the remainder of this season under contract and next season. We're going nowhere this season and even if miracles were to happen next season we're not going to be going deep into the playoffs. My point is its not like Lynch was going to be a vital piece in a major SB run this year or next. Also we do have a couple of good backs in Jackson and Spiller. Lynch definitely wasnt going to resign with us after next year. I'd imagine he's more valuable with a year left on his contract as opposed to having to work out a new contract with him prior to trading him. I highly doubt he'd be the team MVP this year or next with 2000 yards rushing skyrocketing his value. I had previously pointed out that the Pats only got a 4th for Maroney. Knowing that I thought we did well. The Pats have been the best wheelers and dealers in the draft the last ten years. Then someone here pointed out they had to give up a six in return. I say we did well. As far as the "fire sale"- while some people have a hard time understanding the cutting of Trent I think its pretty clear. Unless Fitz gets hurt or bombs out trent would ride the bench. We're not going anywhere so if someone needs to come off the bench why not Brohm? Trent is out of here at the end of the season so why not give him an opportunity somewhere else. As far as Mitchell, I liked him but he was out for the season and apparently asked for his release. He wasn't a starter in this defense and if they manage to draft/bring in FAs next year he likely wouldnt start then either so why not give him the respect of granting him his release........ And like everyone else I don't understand the new contract for Kelsay....

  12. You wonder why the Bills suck?

Draft a bust in the 1st round and then trade him away for a 4th round pick and consider it a good deal. This is how you build a loser!

Now maybe they can trade Lee Evans for a 5th rounder and really get happy!!!!!

So you think we should kept him then he walks in FA after the season and we get nothing? I wouldn't call the Pats losers and they traded Maroney for a 4th round pick.......

  13. Told you he'd never go for anything less than a 4th.

What a terrible trade. One old man RB and one RB that can't touch it more than 10 times a game.

I hope we use our new 4th round pick to draft a running back!

How is it a terrible trade? The only bad thing about it would be if we couldve gotten a better draft pick for him during last years draft. We are not going anywhere this year, he would surely leave in FA and we'd get nothing now we get a 4th rounder and another pick for him. Even if we tried to resign him he doesnt want to be in Buffalo.....definitely a good move. Jackson and Spiller will do just fine. I only wish Joique Bell was still on our PS.....
