  1. The guy didn't line up against all-world WRs the last few weeks either. Quick, name one of the Chargers WRs? Maybe franchise tag + hometown discount + attitude adjustent will keep him here. I hope they don't go the same route like when they let Pat Williams go and think his replacement is already on the team. Or better yet, go after someone that is a notch below and almost pay the same with more upfront.
  2. One guy is going all out this year and the other has his little list in locker of guys he lit up. There was actually a time I was worried about Clements returning kicks in case he got injured, but it was the only time he actually had the ball in his hands. Almost thinking his whole thing is karma and the way the whole defense was woofing it up in the summer.
  3. Well, they got their first death threat today. Two letters came in to a pair of the higher ups. Typed something like "Build The Casino, Senecas Die" Good to see the kooks haven't lost a step.
  4. Something still could happen with the terminal. Not sure tho. Very good chance the area could take off if things fell into place. The problem always being bad ideas for the downtown area, too bad they're too threatened to hire a city manager of sorts to tie things together.
  5. Could've been limited floor space. Not sure if something still might happen. New place will have 2000 machines. Not sure if the terminal could've fit those in there. Also, not sure what shape that place was in structurally - as far as adding on a hotel and things like that.
  6. Snyder. It's a new build. They were looking at other sites. The terminal might've been a fallback. Places like the Statler were never seriously considered, just stories floated to the News from the people that control those sites to orchestrate some outside pressure. Other places were never really on the table, like the Pier and places like that.
  7. It's 9 acres next to the terminal site. No news yet on when they're going to start work. It will also allow them to centeralize the offices between the Falls and Salamanca. Couldn't get the video from those sites to work.
  8. http://www.wkbw.com/Story.aspx?preview=&ty...n&NStoryID=6684 Opponents speak up against new casino Oct 04, 2005 - Not everybody's excited about today's announcement. The town of Cheektowaga was originally chosen by the Senecas as the site of the new casino. The state nixed that plan in court, saying the compact required the casino be built in the city of Buffalo. Cheektowaga officials challenged that ruling and until yesterday, they held out hope that the complex would be built in their town. “The compact clearly states that if the Seneca nation could not find a suitable site for whatever reason in the city of Buffalo that they could locate anywhere in Erie County, and originally they chose the town of Cheektowaga,” said Dennis Gabryszak, Cheektowaga town supervisor. They aren't the only ones against the new casino; another vocal opponent is Roman Catholic Bishop Edward Kmiec. 7 News will hear his reaction later today at 5 p.m. It's too bad, it should've went to Cheektowaga. Buffalo just threw a tantrum about it. Compact stated the county, not the city. Wasn't good enough for them. That would've been a new build too. Also, we don't want any monte carlo/bingo nights to get screwed up do we, Bishop?
  9. Good. Move. http://www.wkbw.com/Story.aspx?type=ln&NStoryID=6670 It's not the terminals. It's property near it. Going to be a new build. At least channel 7 spelled my dad's name right. Unlike channel 2. http://www.wgrz.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=32020
  10. As far as location goes. http://buffalonews.com/editorial/20051004/1061038.asp 1pm news conference.
  11. I'll give it a shot given most of the bigger names are coming back tonight. Who knows if the actual matches will be decent. Watched it last week on SpikeTV when they were bleeping out when mentioning WHERE they were going. 2nd half of the show, they just let it go.
  12. Garner learn how to act yet? How many oscars did 13 going on 30 take home?
  13. Always thought it was dark liquor that did it to me. Also thought I was better to have shots vs. drinking it was coke all night. Used to call it rare form when I would get like that, then figured out that rare form was when I WASN'T like that.
  14. Started to notice that myself a little while ago with crown royal. Now I only drink it at the airport when I'm traveling (want a shot for 2 bucks?). Better off to be around people I don't know when I drink the stuff. Not to the point of not drinking it at all yet.
  15. some info on San Diego Bills Backers. http://sdbbc.org/pages/474887/index.htm http://www.buffalobills.com/fans/BillsBackersCalifornia.jsp http://www.sandiego.gov/qualcomm/ http://chargers.com/tickets/index.cfm for stadium layout. The stadium is laid out where you can't come down from the main concourse to seats closer to the field. You'll need to go downstairs, then come back out in the front, then head up. Sorta bass-ackwards. Also get there early, last time I went to game there, they had this little nifty thing of closing the gates to the main parking lot sometime around noon. Best bet would be to take the trolley in. http://www.transit-rider.com/ca.sandiego/sdtrolley.cfm http://www.sdcommute.com/
  16. That festival was called The Big Summer Classic. Caught that up @ Red Rocks in early July. moe./Gov't Mule on 7/1 then that fest on 7/2-3. Umphrey's McGee, Spearhead, New Monsoon, Keller Williams. & SCI. SCI was the worst thing about it. Everyone else was great, they totally bit night one. Almost redeemed themselves night two, only because Yonder Mountain String Band was added for night two and sat in with them. Older material is what gets me to go because I couldn't stand their last 2 studio albums.

  18. I'll try to get there early, how's the seating? I'm good @ standing and drinking. Might want to grub up tho. A buddy of mine and I are hitting a concert the night before @ the Greek, so might need to get there and shake out some cobwebs Both pretty hardcore with the Bills, just both left town.
  19. How busy does it get down there? Trying to put off getting up as early as possible. Guessing get there around 9ish?
  20. I looked over @ sfbabb.org (San Francisco Bay Area Bills Backers) and noticed they had a spot not that far away. I'm just wondering if those types of setups are open to anyone coming down, or do you have to be "in". Going to be up there just saturday to sunday and was looking for somewhere to peek in and check out the game and have some beers before heading to the airport.
  21. They gave Buffet a bunch of time. Dave Matthews plopped in and covered Heart Of Gold. Then they covered Scarlet Begonias. Finally broke down and cracked open a few beers during that. Fogerty just wrapped up. Totally pounding now.
  22. Sorta like the 5th year in the Jimmy Johnson 3 year plan?
  23. Even Fletcher decided he wants nothing to do with this.
