Let me start by saying we a had a terrible experience with Gabe's on Genesee. Multiple reasons.

Daughter just got in another accident and on a recommendation we took it to  B.N.R. Collision. on Military Rd. Sounds like it may be out of the way for you, but I thought they were outstanding.

I think this is where she might be going (Gabe's). What happened? She's actually moving over to Elmwood Village in a couple weeks, so if she procrastinates long enough it won't be too far (BNR).

Carubba is one of the best. I dealt with them all the time in my old line of work.  They are one of maybe 2 shops i would ever use.

Is the car owned or leased?  That should play into the decision on where to go.  If leased, take it to the dealer and let them do the work so there's no issues at turn in time.

    Hope your daughter was ok.

    Which shops? It's owned

Elmwood Collision in Kenmore is my spot.  3 man shop where 2 are the owners.  Good guys.  Little out of the way, but I'd take that over 10+ location Corruba Collision where you get some low wage mechanic doing the work any day of the week.

That's my opinion w/ chain shops. I tend to stay away from them when needed body work done, but that's based on one particular shop in our area. Thanks!

  4. Playoffs are still going on. I'm not up to date on all new coaches, spots being filled, but I'm sure most new head coaches have pretty much filled their staff. Whoever is left, the Bills pretty much have their choice. I've heard a number of names being tossed about (coaches still out there w/o a job). We may be one of the last to fill their openings, but I don't think that's bad. We always rush to judge, have a certain guy we all want or think that'd be perfect for the Bills. We'll be fine ?

  5. Not sure this is appropriate to seek out businesses for service, but I'll give it a shot. My daughter was involved in an accident this morning on 90.. A big rigs breaks gave out and slammed into her Subaru. Seeing photos of the accident, the Subi stood up very well. I know the insurance company will give her some recommendations, but since I live 2700 miles away, I'm always leery of using places I don't know or haven't checked out (even here at home). I've Yelped body shops in the area, but not many had more then a couple reviews. So if you have any experience w/ any collision shops in the area, I'd be appreciative. She currently lives in Cheektowaga, works in Williamsville....so I'm guessing something in those areas / corridor (but not necessary). Thanks !

Interesting note...Not sure why he DM'd me on Twitter about this (I had asked him a question the other day about why the Bills didn't step up to get him)...but the Bills' Chris Brown just said -- "I just learned from a Tampa reporter that Kugler hasn’t officially been hired yet. FWIW."

So could Kulger still be in play??? -- Can't get rid of the high-lighter, sorry.

I had a feeling when CB DM'd me something was up. Why would he put that out there (to a complete stranger), if he didn't know something was going on.

Bucs agreed to terms with U of Arizona OL coach Joe Gilbert, who will coach the offensive line.

Sounds like he was already linked to Arians

I got this response from my tweet to Chris Brown, so ties to Arians is the most likely scenario: It's hard to know all the ins and outs that were involved there. But Kugler has a prior working history with Arians. They worked as OL coach and OC in Pittsburgh together for 2 seasons (2010-2011). Kugler has never worked with McDermott. Familiarity tends to carry the day in coaching circles.

  10. I filled out the survey. I think it took you down different directions depending how you answer the questions. I didn't know how serious they were regarding completely renovating The Ralph. I believe they may be rethinking the whole new stadium thing. A lot of questions about how much you'd be willing to spend...if ... this/that. Definitely no to any PSL. I also felt it was a feeler for potential season ticket buyers. I expect to get another email soon informing me of season ticket offers.

Did someone pick Jackson up earlier in the week then release him? That would make you have to wait until Friday for the waiver to clear. This is a dirty fantasy trick, we don’t allow it in our league.

Basically picking a guy up and then releasing him just so no one can use him.

No, he was a FA - I saw it earlier in the day, but since Gordon was questionable...I waited (my mistake) to check on Gordon's status before the game. Once I saw he was officially OUT, I picked him up ... or so I thought.

  12. Sitting in KeyBank last Thursday, waiting for the Sabres to start...I notice Justin Jackson was still on the WW an hour before the game. I pick him up, it says the claim went through. I look for him on my roster, he's not there. I try the claim again and again, all say successful, yet he's not there on my roster. I can't play him, ugh. He scores 18pts. Next day, I see him on my roster. WTF? I have to play Adams or Edwards... I play J.Adams, Edwards scores 17, Adams does nothing. I also sat Jeffrey (honestly he's done nothing all year...except for last week, sigh) for Samuel of the Panthers (one nice catch early, then nothing the rest of the game). I lost by 10, but if Jackson would have been in my lineup (or even Edward) I would have won. Can I also blame Wertz for getting hurt and Foles forgetting Ertz was on the team? All around disaster of Titanic proportions. I went from dominating all season at 13-1, to playing in the consolation. Sketchy cell service / wifi inside the arena to blame? A glitch in Yahoo (he was a FA, so claim should have processed immediately)? Either way...I'm out the big bucks and trying to scrape a few bucks out of the league.

  13. Give him an extension (yes he has 2 more years on his contract) and lets be done w/ it. I'm tired of the coaching carousel we've had throughout our history. With the exception of Knox and Marv, coaches don't last more than 3 seasons. Can't get an continuity w/ constant turnover. Keep him around the just chill.

Got my order from Peet’s a couple days ago, and the Italian roast has been incredible.  Just what I was looking for.  I also bought a little “pour over” set up that actually makes a much better cup of coffee than my expensive drip machine.  The coffee fills up the house with an amazing aroma every morning when I make a pot.

$25 is a little pricey for a couple pounds of coffee, but this is totally worth it.  I’m thinking about joining one of their clubs to have the stuff delivered regularly.  Thanks to everyone for the advice!

If you have a Costco around you, they may sell Peet's for a much lower price. Maybe not the Italian roast...but our Costco had 4 types of Peet's yesterday when I picked up a 2 1/4 lb bag of "Alma de la Tierra" for $15. Brewed some up this morning. Excellent cup of Joe.
