  1. 2002 1st round - Mike Williams!!! This year's drafting of Chris Hairston with our second pick in the 4th round was the first time in 9 years we have drafted an OT in the first four rounds. Dont worry, the streak for drafting an OT in the first 3 rounds is alive and well. Not complaining about this year's draft, think they are building us up the right way, was just shocked when i went looking back....it's like our previous GMs were trying to sabotage the franchise or something.
  2. dont worry, he wont say **** b/c he has no idea what he is talking about. Typical miserable fan who somehow enjoys complain about everything instead of looking at it objectively..
  3. 1. Leodis McKelvin (CB) 2. James Hardy (WR) 3. Chris Ellis (DE) 4. Reggie Corner (DB) 4. Derek Fine (TE) 5. Alvin Bowen (OLB) 6. Xavier Omon (RB) 7. Demetrius Bell (T) 7. Steve Johnson (WR) 7. Kennard Cox (DB)
  4. just to clarify, Cam stole a laptop not an Xbox.....cut the kid some slack, he was probably trying to write a term paper or something. BTW, if you wanna buy it, it still may be for sale.
  5. wait was that him who did that with the Steelers?
  6. yeah im with you on Carolina maybe not taking Cam, if that happens that really can screw things up for us...i'm of the opinion that i would like to ride things out next year with Fitz and build up the talent around the QB position. Just think the risk with Newton and Gabbert 3rd overall is too high.
  7. I wasnt a Gabbert fan at all in the beginning, but im kinda warming up to him more recently, especially after that Yahoo! article about how intelligent he is. THEN IT HAPPENED. I went to Youtube trying to find some Gabbert/Mizzou highlights. Maybe i am not looking in the right place but the two videos i saw got me really worried. Im no expert but this was supposed to be a collection of Blaine Gabbert's TOP plays but instead he showed me nothing except that he can run for a first down. I realize his team wasnt that great but if youre a stud you should at least show flashes during the season. On a scale of 1-10 he looked like a solid 5. Anyone got any other links? Blaine Gabbert Highlights
  8. at first glance, i thought they were ugly at second glance, i realized they were hideous i think the same people who are pumped by this were also just as excited for something new when the Sabres unveiled the Slug. Here's hoping this is just a pic of an action figure made in china, and they mixed up their lead-paint colors.
  9. haha, good one. SB years were the exception not the rule.
  10. Jerry "The Condo" Crafts (OT) Lorenzo Neal (FB) Brian Jordan (DB) [baseball Player] Manny Martin (DB/S) Lief Larson (DT) [Combine record for most reps at the bench press, translated to nothing on the field]
  11. damn u Finkle and your profile image, I always think I got a bug on my monitor.
  12. Just a thought, but what about playing Poz/Draft at LB and then leaving Whitner, Byrd, and either B.Scott or G.Wilson on the field. Whitner and B.Scott/G.Wilson could be interchangeable at OLB (at worst they are at least the same size as Ellison), plus it would make the offense have to guess which S will be in the box and which one will drop back into coverage (especially if you drop both Whitner and B.Scott/G.Wilson into the box pre-snap). Also, Whitner could even play Nickel corner if the other team brings on a 3rd WR. I obviously am not a D-coordinator but it seems like it could be somewhat advantageous. Just a thought.
  13. OH MY GOD That practically is BEGGIN Ralph to sign him once he orchestrates his release from Tennessee. He must be throwing games on purpose for that very reason. Amazing work Columbo.
  14. By auctioning off the team to the highest bidder upon his death, Ralph has left the future of the team up in the air. The highest bidder probably wont come from someone who wants to keep the team in Buffalo. He hasn't literally threatened to move, but everyone knows that the biggest reason we have the most season ticket sales since the SB years is because people are hoping that if we fill up the stadium, Ralph wont shift anymore games to Toronto and that maybe next owner might consider leaving the team here.
  15. Problem is this isnt a "free market" per say. I think the metaphor other posters have used is the relationship between an abusive husband and his wife. Sure the wife is free to leave at anytime, but the husband usually holds something over their head which would discourage them from leaving (ie. you dont have a job, no one else would consider marrying you, etc). Well in this case, Ralph holds the threat of moving over our head, and the fact that once this team leaves this city, no one else would ever consider having a team in Buffalo. Sure, you could call this the ultimate marketing plan in a free market, but I just find it obnoxious.
  16. ughhhhh, sorry, i guess I should have been a bit more clear with that. When i said sell the team, i meant to a local investor. My point was that if he really cared about keeping the team in buffalo, then he would do that. Does he owe it to us to sell it to a local investor? No. Like I said, he can do whatever he pleases, it is his team. All i was saying is I dont think it is right for people to say he is all about keeping the team here b/c he clearly isnt. I dunno, maybe I am being unrealistic, but if I was in his shoes, and I was supposedly loyal to this city, I dont think I would have a problem with selling the team at a slightly lower-than-market price to a local investor, and keeping a minority interest so I still was an owner of the team. In regards to the ceremony, I still think it is within peoples right to boo him. This isnt some private HOF ceremony at his house....it is at a freakin football stadium....i think just about anything goes at a football stadium other than cheering when someone gets hurt.
  17. 75,000 Mr.Burns masks would be PERFECT. Someone needs to get WGR or that Billboard kid to sponsor this. Even more fitting b/c of Halloween. My guess would be that Ralph would catch wind of the plan and suddenly "not feel up to it" again.
  18. Ummm, hate to break it to you but he ALREADY doesnt give a flying F$#K if the team stays. If he did, he would work out a deal to sell the team. The coward wont even talk about it publicly. If he is such a swell guy, and so loyal to us, why doesnt he at least man up and say "you know what, I would love to keep the team in Buffalo, but it just doesnt make financial sense for my family." I wouldnt even be the least bit upset b/c I know that at the end of the day, this is a business. But dont patronize the fans and front like you are still loyal to the city when you cant even be man enough to admit your selling to the highest bidder.
  19. I couldn't agree less. We gave him his warm reception at the Hall of Fame. We pay tribute to his team by selling-out game after game. If people would have booed him during his initial ceremony, I would have considered it a little distasteful, but totally justified considering the team put on the field. But I find it utterly pathetic that the ceremony is back on because we have won 2 games in a row. I am all for respecting the elderly, but this coward deserves to be booed.
  20. agree. I also think we need to use our FB more. Our OLine is still a work-in-process and all our TEs suck at blocking, so at least give our RBs a lead blocker to work with.
  21. Hate to rain on your parade, but if we used the backs according to those down & distances, the split would probably be 15% Lynch and 85% Jackson with this amazing offense.
  22. Although i still say give the kid a chance, I have to agree that just watching Hardy run routes makes me a bit nervous. He just looks like he is stumbling over himself during his cuts and when going up for the ball. I just dont get how the scouting dept. didnt see that when evaluating him because it does seem to stand out. I guess maybe they figured we could coach him up like we did with.....(crickets)....well at least they are optimistic. In his defense, I do remember them saying something like Indiana's offense had no resemblance to a pro-style offense, and basically Hardy was never taught how to run precise routes.
  23. anyone else care to vote.....just curious what most bills fan think.
