  1. Maybe I've become pessimistic thru our recent free agent signings, but the signing of Hamgartner has John Guy's name all over it. And that is not good. Hamgartner started at center for the Panthers in 2006 and was so effective he was replaced. Heck, the guy had spot duty last year at several positions. Now he's going to be our starting center. Wonderful. I know Jeff Saturday resigned with the Colts but why not offer something to Matt Birk? The guy has been to the Pro-bowl. This signing has Larry Tripplett, Robert Royal, Craig Nall, Matt Bowen, Touton Reyes, and Marvin Fowler written all over it. And Ryan Fitzpatrick...please. I am so passionate about the Bills but damn, we don't have a chance to win.

Birk made it well known, he would NOT come to Buffalo.

  2. Which is why no one signs with, Pats, Steelers, Bears, Browns....another logical argument why we suck.

I guess you just don't get it. The Pats and Steelers are first class organizations that have a winning tradition and are well run and winners each year. CHicagoi is a big city, has the money to spend. Cleveland is a step up on Buffalo and who have they ever signed? The Bills are the last place anyone would want to go. The city is depressing, the team is in shambles, the owner has one foot in the grave so there is an uncertainty as to what will happen when he goes. Toronto?? Don't kid yourself, its a possibility, the NFL would love it, its a Major city, The only thing the Bills have going for it, is the passion of their fans is unparallel, but even that is waning.

  3. Did you watch how slow and inept our LBs were last year? He's be perfect in the middle of a 4-3.

He is old, a thug, his best days are behind him, he has slowed considerably and for the money he would want, he

is NOT worth it, you are foolish to think this would happen or would be a good fit.

  4. Leftwich or Fitzpatrick Nick Goings or Derrick Ward

Matt Birk (or draft a OL high for once)

Drew Bennett or Justin Mccareins Leonard Pope (RFA)

    Leigh Bodden or Chris Carr

    Atari Bigby (RFA)

Leftwich or Fitzpatrick Too much money for left and wouldnt want fitz, he is just not good

Nick Goings or Derrick Ward Why would you want goings? Ward will get big $

Matt Birk (or draft a OL high for once) Too much $

Drew Bennett or Justin Mccareins Possibly Bennett, as he fits our desire for Big receiver

Leonard Pope (RFA) NOOOOO. i live in az and see him......noooooo

Leigh Bodden or Chris Carr Bodden will be too much $ and Carr turned us down last year

    Atari Bigby (RFA)

  5. Why, are you going to make a list of all the things they ever did wrong?? I know who did what and why but Drugs / Guns are not going to really be on that list.

So apparantly you are now the judge and jury as to what is and what is not acceptable behavior? Who made you god or put you in charge? And I doubt you know 1/2 of the things that occurred back in the Bills Hey Days of the early 90s. You may think you know, but you don't. As a matter of fact you think you know about alot of things, but DON"T!

  6. In court that flies, in the real world of putting yourself in bad situations and causing problems it doesn't. Lessons have not been learned yet, that's pretty obvious. At what point does the free pass to do what you want end?? If he gets in accident high on weed or runs into someone again will it then be a problem?? It's pretty plain to see that the kid is not playing it cool and accepts little to no responsibility for his actions. When he leaves for the spring, he plays ghetto games which do not translate well for future success for our team.

Cut bait and get players who want to do something better with their time then get high like the users on here.

Skooby, I would be curious as to who your all time favorite Bills were.

  7. After the combine, I've shifted quite a few players around. Some people shined and others faultered. I think it's safe to say that there has been some serious movement on draft boards after these last 5 days.

    1. Detroit Lions - Jason Smith/OT/Baylor - Best OT in the draft and it showed at the combine. No QB is worth #1 this year

    2. St. Louis Rams - Eugene Monroe/OT/Virginia - Second best OT in the draft and it's a need.

    3. Kansas City Chiefs - Aaron Curry/LB/Wake Forest - Probably the best player in the draft

    4. Seattle Seahawks - Matthew Stafford/QB/Georgia - Their franchise QB to be.

    5. Cleveland Browns - Everett Brown/DE-OLB/Florida St. - Some will say too early, but he fits their scheme. Rush OLB.

    6. Cincinnatti Bengals - Michael Oher/OT/Ole Miss - 3rd OT to come off the board, but Cincy needs help at that spot.

    7. Oakland Raiders - Michael Crabtree/WR/Texas Tech - Al Davis gets his man.

    8. Jacksonville Jaguars - B.J. Raji/DT/Boston College - Del Rio was salivating over the guy at the combine. The OL will have to wait.

    9. Green Bay Packers - Tyson Jackson/DE/LSU - A new 3-4 scheme requires big run-stopping DE's. Impressive combine and tah dah.

    10. San Francisco 49ers - Brian Orakpo/DE-OLB/Texas - They drive the stake home again just like 2 years ago with Patrick Willis.

    11. Tampa Bay from Buffalo - Mark Sanchez/QB/USC - Tampa gets their QB of the future giving us their 2nd. They don't want to chance it any longer.

    12. Denver Broncos - Brian Cushing/OLB/USC - Versitile enough to play ILB or OLB in the new 3-4 scheme. Play maker.

    13. Washington Redskins - Michael Johnson/DE/Georgia Tech - Who better to learn the position from in the NFL than Jason Taylor.

    14. New Orleans Saints - Rey Maualuga/MLB/USC - They wanted Cushing, but will settle for his play making teammate.

    15. Houston Texans - Malcolm Jenkins/CB-S/Ohio St. - They'll see if he can play CB in the NFL. If not, he'll be their starting FS.

    16. San Diego Chargers - Andre Smith/OT/Alabama - McNeil on one side and Smith on the other? Can you say "book ends".

    17. New York Jets - Beanie Wells/RB/Ohio St. - Jones is aging(31 by opening day) and Beanie is the top prospect at the position.

    18. Chicago Bears - Aaron Maybin/DE/Penn St. - They need DE help, but they do our FO a favor by getting him off the board.

    19. Buffalo from Tampa Bay - Peria Jerry/DT/Ole Miss - The disruptive force at DT needed beside Stroud in the Tampa 2.

    20. Detroit Lions - William Beatty/OT/UConn - A toss up between him and Britton from UA. A bit of a reach, but a good player.

    21. Philadelphia Eagles - Alex Mack/C/Cal - Anchor that will be protecting McNabb from day 1 he arrives.

    22. Minnesota Vikings - Vontae Davis/CB/Illinois - Even after the combine, still the 2nd best CB. Good pickup for the Vikes.

    23. New England Patriots - Larry English/DE-OLB/Northern Illinois - Will shift to the OLB spot in the 3-4 and be effective. More youth infusion.

    24. Atlanta Falcons - Brandon Pettigrew/TE/Ok. State - Matt Ryan and Roddy White are further set up for success.

    25. Miami Dolphins - Kenny Britt/WR/Rutgers - They still need a #1 WR and Britt's size and ability remind me of a young T.O.

    26. Baltimore Ravens - Jeremy Maclin/WR/Mizzou - Derrick Mason is a good WR to learn the game from.

    27. Indianapolis Colts - Percy Harvin/WR/Florida - Marvin's replacement and a good value this late in the 1st. Immediate KR/PR.

    28. Philadelphia Eagles - Eben Britton/OT/Arizona - The OL revamping continues. Britton could play either OT spot or OG.

    29. New York Giants - Hakeem Nicks/WR/UNC - Bye Amani and possibly Plaxico. Nicks could start day 1 and be effective. Chemistry with Eli is key.

    30. Tennessee Titans - Darrius Heyward-Bey/WR/Maryland - The Titans finally don't take a RB in the 1st, LOL. DHB could be a good WR for a long time.

    31. Arizona Cardinals - Knowshon Moreno/RB/Georgia - Hurt by his 40, but won't fall past the defending NFC champs. Not a bad situation.

    32. Pittsburgh Steelers - Duke Robinson/OG/Oklahoma - What do you get the SB champs? A beast of an OG to help protect their $102 million dollar man.

    Buffalo's 2009 draft:

    1. Peria Jerry/DT/Ole Miss

    2a. Robert Ayers/DE/Tennessee

    2b(from Tampa). Eric Wood/C/Louisville

    3. Marcus Freeman/OLB/Ohio St.

    4. Cornelius Ingram/TE/Florida

    5. Joel Bell/OT/Furman

    6. Jamarko Simmons/WR/Western Michigan

    7. Seth Olsen/OG/Iowa

Nice job on this. Very well thought out, including trade scenario. I would love it!

    Thanks!

  8. I wish they would trade for him. I think that would solve the pass rush problem here in Buffalo, just a thought. What do you think the Panthers are looking to get for him?

Personally, I would love to have Peppers as well, just don't see it happening. They want to keep him, but if they did, I bet it would cost at leats 2 #1s or a #1 and #2. Besides he does not want to play in the 4-3 scheme that we use so its unlikely he would want to come here.

  9. I started off not knowing who Dane Cook was, but everyone kept telling me I needed to check him out. I liked his performance in the very underrated film, "Waiting", but I thought his stand-up was pretty lame. I've since come to feel that he's pretty overrated...I've lost nearly all interest in his schtick.

I agree.....I never got the Dane Cook buzz. I don't think he is funny at all.

  10. How many of Conlan's tackles were five to ten yards down field.

Conlan also did not have a habit of getting run over by anyone or of runnin around blockers and not filling holes.

We can only hope that PP becomes the type of LB that Conlan was. I really hope that he does.

Shane Conlan was one of the most overated players in Bills history, right up there with Ruben.

  11. :D

My wife hates bars. She simply can't stand them, and this isn't going to change any time soon. 5 or 6 years ago, she bought me the NFL Ticket. On my birthday (in June), she handed me an envelope from DTV, and this brought my sports bar days to a grinding halt.

I am good for 1 trip to RWS per season, and that took me about 9 years of marriage. After the last superbowl loss she saw that I was depressed on the ride home, and I mentioned it to her. She gave the OK and we have been to a game every year since. This I will do until the Bills leave town or I am dead.

I'm a real macho man, no?

Oh my god, get some gonads you big wuss.

  12. You are wrong. While I do think I'm smarter then the majority I do not consider myself in any way better. That's for someone else to judge. The funny part is that nowhere in the Bills' press release have I seen them call it 50th anniversary. Its the so called journalist and headline writers that have erred in that regard.

You are not a bright man, even though you think you are. Its actually quite sad that you spend so much time lamenting the 50th anniversary. I am just trying to figure out how many time you had to count on your fingers and take your shoes off to count your toes to figure this all out!.......

  13. Yes, because King was so objective in his reporting. I presented facts as to why he isn't objective. Those 2 have a history and it's fairly obvious. If you can't handle facts, that's no surprise.

True, he is past his prime. The sad thing is.. despite being past his prime and over the hill, he has played better than "your boy" Donte Whitner. He covers tight ends better than Whitner (well that's not saying much, my grandma does).

He is better in run support.

He is 35. Whitner is 24.

If only it were that simple. Perhaps my dislike for Whitner has to do with his lack of production on the field. While you and the rest of Donte's peanut gallery continues to manufacture excuses for his sub-par play, those that actually watch the games with an objective eye know that Whitner really needs to elevate his game to justify your man-love for him.

There is nothing objective about your opinion on Whitner. If Milloy was so great, he would still be on the Falcons, despite his age. They do keep high producing players that are older, he just isn't one of them. Truth be told he can't cover you and we all know you are a mule.

  14. Also, why would Polian tell the truth in terms of how he feels? His job is that of a poker player to some degree. I doubt if he would tip his hand all that frequently.

Why wouldnt Polian tell the truth? There is NO chance Maybin will be avail when the Colts pick in the first round, so telling the truth can't hurt him. I have no idea of what your post is suppose to say. As Thoner points out, neither Polian or Mayock said anything that disputes what the other said.

  15. eric wood and Shawn Nelson both looked very good, I also like TE Cook from So carolina, Hakeem Nicks ran a good 40, he is a very good receiver, great hands, runs great routes and a Solid Kid, I question Patrick Turners speed, did he run today? what was his time? good hands and good route runner

I agree with you. Hakeem Nicks is a player Id love to see the Bills get in maybe the 2nd or 3rd round (not sure he will drop that far). I hate to give up on Hardy already, but from what I saw I was not impressed at all and there is a very good chance he will not be ready to play until midseason at the earliest. A big WR is still a need on this team. Nicks was spectacular in college, which doesnt always translate to the NFL, but all Hardy did was use his big body in college to catch 5 yd TD passes. Nicks is a complete receiver.

  16. To me that's the sensible thing to do - within reason. For example, a buddy of mine had a brother who got 7 years for shooting a guy who was beating the sh-- out of him. The reason? An unregistered firearm. So it's perfectly acceptable to for someone to beat you within an inch of your life because you didn't cross every bureaucratic "T" and dot every "I". That's the stuff I have problem with.

Idiots who shoot innocent people standing around in a mall? Death by bunga-bunga.

    Yepper.

Your scenario here says it all. Your buddy's bro with unregistered firearm. Why is that, why does he have an unregistered gun MR. NRA???
