  1. rhodes has a sb ring. he got in a fight in camp == showed some motivation to win finally for a bill...

rhodes is a GREAT pass catcher. He is also a great blitz blocker. apparently, they want to keep a few extra WRs -- and guys who can play ST.

So thats why you keep him, because he has a SB ring and got in a fight at camp? LOL <_<

  2. I drafted with 12 teams and live draft with friends I know. I was putting in all the picks and keeping track of everything so I didn't have as much time to look over my players while other drafted.

QB Rivers/M. Ryan/D Garrard (I am in the mist of a Trade of Ryan)

RB Lynch/J.Jones/L.McMClain/Rhondes (first three games I was going to get Jackson but my g/f drafted him in the third round :lol: don't ask)/L. Washington

    WR V.Jackson/D.Bowe/L.Coles/D.Hixon

    TE J.Whitten

    DFence Chi

I offered a trade of M Ryan for M Barrer but he wants to wait a few games to see how Cutler plays as his QB but I need good RB to go with Lynch plus Lynch is out the first three games.

I live in Atl so many teams want him but many have good QBs already.

O I also have Willis at RB I know I know!

    WHO CARES??????????

  3. now can i say i told you so about Vick and the Bills? now, can i say that what i reported was correct?

now, in the face of the mountain of so-called evidence of speculation that didn't prove to be worth a hill of beans, can i get just a hint of love? dismissed after Eisen, questioned about what "at this time" meant, even questioned about what influence Tony Dungy might have had on Mr. Wilson to the point where i nearly began to doubt what in fact i had and was told. and yet, the proof is right there: Vick signs two-year contract with Philadelphia.

this isn't to say that i'm never wrong, because i have made mistakes in the past. but i put that out there this morning knowing what i had, and knowing that my reputation was on the line, and i'd have to be eating plenty of crow and having plenty to answer to my bosses.

    but i told you so.

Wow....you had a 32-1 shot that you were right! Take your right hand, bend it behind

your back and pat yourself chump.

  4. You're just being snarky, right?

The offense has the potential to be potent this year.

What did you see from Saturday that gave you the impression the offense has the potential to

be potent this year?? Unlike the Kelly years, they are running the no huddle now based on the

shakiness of the O line. Quick passes is all they can hold up for and based on yesterday, there will be

no holes for running game whatsoever. Its only 1 preseason game, but the line has not been stellar the laste

few years WITH an all pro left tackle and Mcnally was even here and he was one of the best O line coaches.

They have 5 new starters on the line an O line coach in Sean Kugler that I believe is in over his head.

To say the offense will be potent is a joke.

  5. All,

If you call DTV now, whether you are already a customer or not, you can get big time savings on the NFL DTV package for the upcoming year.

Bascially, call and tell them you would like to cancel your DTV Sunday Ticket because the price is too high. They will almost immediately, without hassle, discount the package $20 per month for six months. This means that you are getting the NFL package for $150 instead of $270.

Now, comes the Superfan ripoff that DTV tries to force on you. I went crazy talking to the representative, only because she lied to me on why they charge you for the Superfan. The Superfan is the garbage add-on that justifies them to double charge you for HD broadcasts. If you have a HD TV, you are already paying DTV $10 a month to get the HD signals, so really, there shouldn't be a need to pay them the Superfan fee again if you would like your broadcasts in HD. They also know that almost nobody would get the Superfan add on without holding you hostage to get your HD channels through Superfan. If you call DTV and tell them that it's bogus that you are paying the $10 a month HD fee already, and that should include your football channels with the package in HD, they will give you Superfan for free too. A $100 value, even though it's a garbage charge anyway.

So in all, if you play your cards right......you will get the NFL Sunday Ticket, in HD, with Superfan, for $150 TOTAL. That's a savings from the $370 it would cost you if you did nothing.

Hopefully this post being first in the thread will ease your fears and let you know that you can get BOTH the Sunday Ticket AND Superfan, all in HD, for $150 total, which is a good deal!

    Good Luck and Enjoy!

THANKS LV!!! I live in Az, have both the NFL and NHL package for the Bills/Sabres.

My bill this time of year gets to be HUGE> I told them I wanted to cancel, was transferred to another

person who ultimately saved me $65 month PLUS, I got Premium package on shows

for 5 mos, which I did NOT have previously! Huge savings, plus more channels!

    Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Ya, I had a girlfriend who use to work as a cocktail waitress at the Gentleman's club in Charlotte, was asked out on a date from Scott Burrell a former basket player with the hornets and Carrot Top, and at the time I really didn't understand why she was telling me this, wasn't sure if she was trying to get me jealous or just conversation, either way, she ended up just the same way when we first hooked up, and that was moving from one person to another.

OMG you made my night....you are soooo lucky, your GF almost hooked up with carrot Top!!

Did he give her carrot juice? Was she not impressed with your carrot? This says alot about you and answers

    alot of questions!

  7. When you get right down to it, it's just roast beef on a bun. There's no recipe you have to nail. There are likely dozens of places that make a good BOW. It's like Philly. You can get a great hoagie almost anywhere....even at the Wawa.

    PTR

    Way to straddle the fence.

    Schwable's.

  8. Are you serious? What makes TO so special that the whole team needs to stop and listen to him. I agree he is a great receiver, but he has never won it all. He puts his pants on the same as everyone else. If he was a someone who has won a bunch of Super Bowls in his career then I would say yes, but he hasn't.

So your thought process is, If you won a superbowl, then you can talk? So you'd rather listen to Trent Dilfer

than say Jim Kelly or Dan Marino? FYI, TO played in the SB when nobody thought he could even run and had

a phenominal game. What has Fred Jackson done???

  9. :wallbash: If you only knew how far off you were! You were probably picking up the new World of Warcraft for you and your girlfriends to pretend you were real men while I was doing my second tour in Iraq so you can go get a clue gorgeous.

Thanks Mary I needed another laugh from another wannabe, like Deano said, let the adults talk sweetheart.

BTW do you expect people to put real pics of there women on THIS site with these mooks? You really are dumb.

I will thank you for the tour in Iraq.

But.....they send old men and women in the reserves there, so not sure your point.

Plus you call me gorgeous, which says alot about you i think.

You need to grow up, maybe someday you can grow up and be like dad, Dean.

I don't want to see your woman....or, is that your man??

  10. You are the only one talking about comic books, paying for girls and living in your parents basement yet you say this site is just for fun? You call people a douche nozzle but you do it in a post when you claim "We're all Bills fans". Boo freakin' Hoo. You can't help but contradict yourself.

You can pretend to be a big shot all you want on here but truth is you need to go get over it, you're not the first nor will you be the last that cries when people are being mean to them on here. It's old and boring.

Edit: Going back and re-reading your post, I have concluded that you can't be older then 18. You sound like a kid at my work who says everything is "Gay", then again you are from Boston.

This coming from a clown, who the closest he has been to a girl, is the picture he copied off

the internet and put next to his name. He hit the nail on the head, you just don't like that he

has you and all the old timers here pegged!

  11. Inspired by the was Oher the better pick thread I was wondering if you had the same post draft frustration that I did. Now assuming the Bills could have gotten the 21st pick for Peters (which was rumored to be turned down by Buffalo for some reason) Than the Bills could have drafted Maybin and Oher while still having the 42nd pick and their third and two fourths.

They could still have had Wood by using the 42nd and the third to trade up to take him and seal up the o-line. Than with the fourth round pick still take Nelson and pick up the tight end they wanted. Than after all that they would have still had the fourth round pick.

I know that its unfair to criticize when you know the outcome but I was angry when people were reporting that the Bills turned down the 21st pick for the 28th pick. Also lets say that only the 28th was available did you feel that the Bills should have tried to try trade up for Oher while he was falling. If it would have cost them their 3rd and a lower round pick than why not. I was thinking that at the time of the draft.

I liked Oher but not at pick 11, if you could have had him at pick 21 or 22 than that would have been a perfect draft addressing our two biggest needs. While still being able to get other needs addressed as well. Don't get me wrong I liked our draft but I thought it could have been better.

Im not sure where you are getting your information that the Bills declined the 21st pick or what makes you believe that Woods is still available at 42? Even though only 1 O=lineman taken between picks 28 and 42 and that was an OT, there is

no guarantee he would be there. You also lose out on Byrd as he would not have lasted til 3rd round.

  12. he Lori your boy Tim graham agrees with me

    does he count?

Roscoe, Roscoe Roscoe.......You need to learn how things work around here!

These clowns all sit around and wait for something to happen so they can be the

first ones to post it. If you don't cite the source they go ballistic. So you saying

that you know JP or anyone doesnt matter, (well maybe if you are the sainted Tim Graham)

The "Dean" is an old fart who has 100,000 posts, so he thinks that he knows what he is talking

about. He could not even figure out why you posted that article. (by the way, nice job

on that). He couldn't correlate your name on here (Roscoe) with the author of the article.

(Roscoe) This is what you are dealing with. lol.

And don't get into it with Lori...she is like everyone's Mama on here, so if you involve her

all the little kiddies coming running to her defense and you are threatened to be banned!!!

    Good luck!

And by the way, I heard JP won't play again as he is po'd that the Superbowl won't be held

    in Buffalo anytime soon!!!!!

  13. Am I suppose to respond to this? I live in Florida but you're more than welcomed to send me a private message. Do you ever make a thread or do you constantly just get mouthy and bash on other people's posts?

What, I should make a nonsense thread for the point of just making one to elevate my status to

"carpal tunnel". I think not. I just bash things I think are stupid, which is what this was.

  14. Hey thanks for your input JR. I realize the weather/climate plays a major role in this but there should be equality in dispersing this revenue to the cities that do hold franchises. Bad weather doesn't stop fans from going to games. I don't think championship games should always be played in controlled elements, it kind of takes away from the game and how this league was founded. How novel would it be to see teams play a blood-n-guts type of game in a championship? What is wrong with that? The NFC Central was a division that was built on this type of game. I think that the Buffalo-Miami game that was played up in Toronto last year was probably one of the biggest injustice that the Bills' franchise has suffered in quite some time.

As far as the negative comments regarding this thread, it mostly came from "rookies" who have been on this board for less than a year. I take it with a grain of salt but when they start trying to get personal than enough is enough. I don't understand to this day why members of this board that have such distain for a post bother to even comment. To agree or disagree is one thing but to be a derogatory @$$hole is another. I guess when their parents or wives let them on the internet they feel big.

I guess us "rookies" should continue to post crap time after time to reach your "elite" level

    lmao. You're a clown.

  15. I know the obvious reason is the weather factor but that hasn't stopped the conference championship games from being played in cold/inclement weather. Make it equal for ALL teams. I think that warm weather teams have a distinct advantage when it comes to playing in a controlled or warm climate.

I know that it's useless to suggest it but some of the greatest games were played in cold weather. How great would it be for a city like Buffalo to host a Super Bowl? Add in that they are a small market and revenue like this would really boost their economy. I don't want to see the Bills become a dome team but that would be the only shot of them hosting such a game. It would take away our tradition and make us a different type of team. Teams like the Packers, Bears, Steelers, Browns and yes, the Bills have forged an identity for themselves as a cold weather team. Why should we change on who we are and also not be eligible for such an honor? We are all part of the same league, we should all be entitled to the same right and revenue.

Cold weather teams and cold weather have contributed to what made the NFL. When the league talks about playing a Super Bowl overseas to globalize it just really flabbergasts me. It's an american game, keep it where it belongs and that is in the United States. Play it in ALL the cities that has a franchise instead of letting other countries earn this money. Our country is on hard economic times, how about keeping the money in house and helping out the country that MADE you the conglomerate that you are?

This has got to be the STUPIDIST post ever, but give who posted it is this a surprise?

    probably not.

  16. Can't blame the guy for looking at all of his options...Even if he really likes it in Buffalo, he should still see what other clubs are offering...I'm not sure if he walked out of Buffalo with an offer or not...I'm not going to say that by getting him our defense will be better or not, but if the Bills feel he could be an upgrade, then I'm all for him becoming a Bill.

Wow...way to take a stand on this!

How do the Eagles have so much money left under the cap?

They signed Peters and Andrews, Samuels last year, have Mcnab, Westbrook (who recently

resigned) and a core of other good young players?
