Shaw 66 and myself are old-times , i think.. lived thru it all, seen it all.. and I agree with him regarding this season.. Being simplistic , totally out of the weeds , they stay healthy , it happens.. Have absolutely no doubt ..

I am in Limerick.. since 2008.. i try to stay close to home here.. so far havent heard of many around .. meaning a Bills Bar here..

Myself and 4 friends all invested in season tickets.. We got there in time to see Herb Mul- Key , receive the first kickoff ever at the Stadium and run it back toward us in the tunnel end zone for a TD..

Exactly....this should be a time of celebration, not smart ass remarks trying way too hard to be funny. That Cincy loss really did irreparable damage to a huge percentage of fans. Way too much cynicism going around.
Totally agree with your premise of "trying way to hard to be funny" , it gets old, predictable .. to a point where you know what essentially will be forthcoming .. and always is..,

We have some 'Bram Stokers' here, as well. Real pains in the neck...
Ironic considering he's a fan of the Vikings who haven't been in a Super Bowl since the 1970s and sport the same 0-4 record in the big game as the Bills.
Didnt know he was a Vikings fan.. was under the impression he was a Steeler fan.., from that area I believe..

Amazing to think of how far this team has come in the past decade.
Thinking back to 2014, the Bills were in the middle of a historic playoff drought, their image and culture were in the dumpster, and Ralph Wilson's passing -- followed by the looming bids from entities like Jon Bon Jovi and Donald Trump -- meant that the team staying in Buffalo at all was no sure thing.
Fast forward to June 2nd, 2023. The Bills have quality ownership, a state-of-the-art training facility, a top 10 GM and head coach, excellent team culture, an elite franchise QB, and a perennial Super Bowl contending roster coming off a string of division titles. The Bills are now a team that players accept less money to play for, due to the team culture and the very real chance at a Lombardi.
And best of all? They're three days away from breaking ground on a new stadium that will keep them here for at least the next quarter century.
Amazing.Well said..

Saffold had a great career and was one of the top Guards in the NFL, but injuries took their toll. Am I allowed to bring that up here or is only hate allowed?
I agree , thought Saffold had a decent career , but on here , its mostly "open mike night" .. who can have the most creative quip..

As someone who attended games when Rich Stadium opened, the concessions there at that time were awful.. they had horrible looking hot dogs floating in a tub of water at the concession stand.. the beer was piis warm draft.. and just crappy popcorn.. not much else.. At that time each stand was run by individual groups , like a church.. all the workers at the stands were volunteers , so you cant blame them.., I cant remember the name of the concession group , but it wasnt Sportservice(later Delaware North) .. They came aboard years later..

Sports talk whether on radio or TV is unlistenable IMHO. Way too profound and sanctimonious..

YEP! I am old too.. Rockpile in 1960 as an 8 yr old, then the "new" stadium in 1973, (after living thru the Lancaster Dome BS), then after Ralph died, a bit of concern (I.E Bon Jovi) feels great to exhale..so happy..

These are my thoughts as well.
Now his size characteristics make him likely even more valued by Buff. We love these tall big guys for MLB.
Could be a "Jack Lambert " type..

He didn't show up first week last year either.
Didnt know that.. but based on how the season finished, thought he might show up for appearance sake, if nothing else.

Surprised , a little at Diggs.. I think he is over whatever issues, if any he had with Allen.. But show up at the non-mandatories.. if he is going to be a distraction.. dump him..

Ralph was indeed cheap. But thanks to a number of the sly and costly clauses he built into the stadium lease related to a team move upon sale helped ensure we still have an NFL team in Buffalo today. Plus, the $1.5 billion his foundation donated to rebuild the waterfront here in Detroit was greatly appreciated.
I always had my problems with Ralph over the years, but now, upon reflection , he is the reason the team is still here as you point out.. and his foundation has never stopped giving to Buffalo either..,

I am in the Philly area and my oldest daughter lives in the same area as McDermott's parents.. She and my youngest granddaughter were in local Breakfast place about a month ago, Granddaughter had on her Allen jersey, and in walked McDermott's parents.. His father had Bills cap on , spotted my daughter and granddaughter and came right over, both he and McDermott's mother introduced themselves as did my daughter, and his parents could not have been nicer!. Spoke about how much they like Orchard Park , etc.. just regular nice people.. Can never hate on Coach McD
Rich stadium...Old timers question
