  1. If I've learne anything from that show its that Sanchez is an absolute headcase. Get him rattled early and he's done for the game.

I agree. Watching this show has given everyone an inside glimpse of a guy who gets completely bent when he throws a bad pass in PRACTICE. We need to pressure this guy...and hit him hard and often.

  2. I only get to one or two games a year, even though I have 4 season tickets in Sec 202. (I consider them my annual donation to the Athletics Dept.) I won't be there tonight because I am leaving for a hurricane-battered vacation in NC today. But when we do tailgate I usually park along Lake LaSalle north of the stadium, right near the mud pit volleyball court.

Being out of town, I'll be following the game online (same with the Bills game). I'm looking forward to the start of what should be a fun and hopefully successful season.

BTW...got back Saturday from a wonderful week on the Outer Banks...Kill Devil Hills to be precise. Had a nice house with an unobstructed view of the beach. Sun and moon rises were great...and the water was warm and inviting. Hope you have a great week.

  3. Ah...its good to be back in my old Lostie haunt. Hope everyone had a great summer. It's odd being back in here and trying to get the brain back into a Lost-mode. I think I suffered a bit of Lost-analysis burnout a while back, but I think I'm ready to get back into it.

Looks like I'm going to have to wait a bit to pick up the big Lost six pack. That's ok though...the time off will do me good, plus I'll probably start off from the very beginning and right it right on through to the end.

I do love Weezer's new album name and cover.

  4. I'm reading now that because Fiona is coming in fast behind Earl, Earl may actually kind of suck it in and break it apart.

The NYC area may get a glancing blow of rain and wind, which guarantees that every tv network will jump into around-the-clock storm coverage. Looking forward to seeing the reporters standing out in a rain shower and light breeze and trying to make it seem like the storm of the century.

  5. There was once a time when I enjoyed flying, but those times are long past. Between the security delays, the moronic other passengers, and the inevitable delays flying in and out of beautiful Newark, I just don't enjoy it any more.

That being said, I'll take an RJ over anything else everytime. You give me a plane where I can sit by myself every flight and I will be happy...until I'm three hours delayed coming back home of course.

  6. Just an observation from last night and a related one from last week...

Mark Sanchez appears to be the biggest douche on two feet. His QB coach (Mark Cavanaugh) was giving him a something of a pep talk and Sanchez couldn't even look at him while he was talking. He was rearranging the crap in his duffle bag and couldn't have paid less attention to his coach. Cavanaugh was telling him how to get past his mistakes...basically pick your head up, say f it, and move on. But the Sanchize couldn't be bothered with paying attention as he was dealing with the more important task of sorting his socks and orange tic tacs.

This comes on the heals of last weeks unconfortable mocking of Joe Namath. Namath was at a team meeting and was explaining to Mark how to hold your hands to recieve the snap to reduce fumbles. Mark again couldn't look at the man and was snickering under his breath. Regardless of what anyone thinks of Namath, this little punk couldn't give the man a few minutes of respect?

I'm sure Jets fans everywhere are so happy that Mark feels he knows all there is to know about being a star NFL QB. I shall rejoice every time this arrogant dope tosses a pick, gets sacked, and walks off the field with his heading hanging.

  7. I actually thought his throwing motion looked awkward, with more than one pass wobbling its way to the reciever. I was not impressed. Plus, could he have looked any dimmer than he did during that segment with Gruden.

I was happy as hell that we didn't draft him...and I still am.

  8. Actually I kind of liked old uncle Ted, but that airport naming thing got under my skin a bit. I had never heard of a public facility named after a living politician before.

Didn't it also have something to do with his wife being killed in a plane crash there (almost killing him as well)? I read somewhere that in 1978 he predicted that he would die in a plane crash.

The former head of NASA was also on the plane. Sucks.
