We couldn't figure out TEs all year and just happened to go up against one of the best ever in the Championship game.. Scheme/Talent mismatch. I'm not sure what Edmunds does well..
Why didn't we play Milano on Kelce within 5 yards and hit him every time and have Poyer play the same side at 10 yards on a bracket/double team?
-
Hated everything about the gameplan and they way we played D the entire night.. Needed to be way more physical and aggressive with Kelce/Hill.. we turtled and got destroyed.
-
We are a finesse team, need that dome!
-
Defense has to play better to win vs Balt, our run game is what it has been all year.. bad.

Our best return was when Roberts fumbled it in the endzone and took a knee.... I hate taking it out of the endzone.. just take the 25 yard line and let our Offense go to work. I feel like terrible teams with no offense should be running it out so often..

Impossible when reality is literally in question at this point. Sad times..

Either way Texans are screwed. You keep him you have nothing around him and nothing to build around him. You trade him away you can get players but wont have a QB. Caserio has a tough road ahead of him.
It takes 1-2 good drafts and a few FA pickups to completely retool on the fly.. you don't need 5 year rebuilds anymore in this league. They have the most difficult piece to find already at QB and would be insane to trade him to "start over".

Pretty much what the Titans did to us offensively, move the ball with lots of runs and play action passing.
Tannehill seemed to make a lot of big plays with his feet that hurt us that game too. Something that is of little concern with Rivers.

If you want a good laugh go to Fin Heaven and read the bills ran up the score post...its awesome. They also have a Josh Allen thread. Im just so happy that Mcbeane has put us in the position were in. This is the best Bills team of my lifetime I was too young to enjoy the early 90's. Go Bills!!!!!!
Hey welcome back Freddy!!! PS I heart you

Don't want to see Tenn or the Ravens... I think both would be tough games and really a toss-up... We match up poorly with Tennessee, Henry is tough and Tannehill doesn't make many mistakes. I do think a rematch would be a lot closer though.
We have struggled vs running QBs this year as Murray and Tannehill made a lot of plays on the ground vs us... Lamar is the best running QB in the league..

I agree with you. Play the starters and play to win. I'd like to see them blow away Miami.
The counter argument is to avoid injury which has some validity. McD rested everyone against the Jets when the outcome didn't matter so there is precedent there. I think guys lose their edge when they rest but maybe that isn't a real thing.
Patriots rested guys week 17 numerous times, those would be the only games we would ever win vs them.. They won Superbowls.
We rested week 17 vs the Jets and had a 16-0 lead before choking vs Houston last year.
-
It's tough to say about week 17... does seeding matter that much in a year without fans?. The second home game might be nice but if Allen or Diggs or Milano, Edmunds, White get hurt against Miami would you say that was worth it? I'd rather have everyone healthy ready to go in the playoffs than lose anyone due to injury in a somewhat meaningless week 17.. We'll see.

I think they are bored. The issue is can they raise themselves at playoff time? I won't be shocked if they lose in the playoffs to a team everyone has them beating.
Agreed. That is always the question with the teams at the top right even across other sports.. Usually the best players in the sport can and will turn it on. but I guess we will see.

They aren't really coasting. Why would they? They have a #1 seed on the line. Look at their last 5. The did not look great in a few of them. That is an average margin of victory of about 4 points a game against 5 teams that aren't exactly elite NFL teams.
Panthers 33-31
Raiders 35-31
Bucs 27-24
Broncos 22-16
Dolphins 33-27.
I hear you and everything but it's the regular season... They have already won a Superbowl and have the likely MVP and best player in the sport on their team. They have the 3 best offensive players on the field in mostly every game they play. I don't think they are worried about playing close games right now and not going all out for regular season wins..

The Bills are playing better than the Chiefs right now. The Bills are peaking and the Chiefs have defensive problems and have had 4 close games in a row. I think KC should be #1 but right now if they played the Bills would have a 50-50 shot.
KC is coasting right now because why not... KC should still be #1.

Not even close... as good as he has been for us this year... There have been amazing WR seasons before (that Diggs will never touch) and didn't get any recognition for MVP. Megatron, Moss, Rice, Harrison... hell even Michael Thomas a year ago... was he an MVP?

And thank god Terry made the right choice of staying out of the way and letting the football people do their jobs. Maybe he should take more of that stance on the hockey side.
I guess I should have said "Was never going to happen as long as it was up to McD", and it was. Luckily.
Usually I would say your right... but in this case the owner meddling would of netted perhaps the best QB of all time.

Was never going to happen since McD didn't have his GM in place yet, AND had to settle on a 3rd choice for OC in Dennison who he knew he was going to replace the next year.
Didnt matter who was in that draft, we weren't taking a QB in 2017.
This thread is like a cow because the point is mooed.
If you read it, that's not correct... Terry was close to just overruling and taking Mahomes at 10. Good article btw.

Feels like a let down game for some reason... "Bad" Chargers team but if you actually look at them, they have a lot of talent and just throw games away.. Lost to a lot of good teams by 1 score.. Could easily be a .500 team.
Coming off a bye I hope we aren't flat...

Still a big concern to me is the 3rd quarters.
Once again we got out scored 17-7, and that’s even getting a turnover on defence and starting off with the ball in the 2nd half.
Inexcusable... What happens in the locker room every week?

Trump strategy with the virus is the same as the election and has been this whole pandemic... claim fraud! A leftist conspiracy!

After all the swing states are recounted (which they will be) and Trump is announced the LEGAL winner and is reelected, will you accept the results?
Remember, the election isn't officially called until December 14 when the electoral college meets.

[Incomplete Title] If Josh and Mahomes switched teams....

Mahomes is a great player but imagine Josh with zero pressure and one of the GOAT TEs and fastest WR in the NFL.. I mean Mahomes is just in the best QB situation maybe ever.
