I wouldn't hate it. If the Seahawks are willing to eat a lot of his current 18 million dollar hit then I think Lockett as a rental would be a solid add. He's 32 while older for a WR is still towards the end of an age where WR's still produce at a high level. He's been banged up but never really injured, he's been active for 16 or more games pretty much every year of his career.

He's also been very productive even in recent season 2022 he had over 1k receiving yards and in 2023 while a bit of a down year he still had just under 900 yards and he's off to a fantastic start this season. If the Seahawks lose a few more games before the trade deadline it is possible they could take offers for Lockett.

Rational and probably reasonable asking price right???

It’s odd how many are acting like the idea is suggesting a trade for Jamar chase or JJeff.

Seattle knows they aren’t wining a superbowl with geno.

Lockett is older and a one trick pony but the trick the offense lacks.

The guy from a few years ago, probably. Such a knack for getting behind defenders, stacking them, and tracking the ball over his head.

Is 2024 Tyler Lockett still effective enough to "fix" anything? He can still play in the league, but this is a hyperbolic post without any further analysis of the how and why.

Your analysis is exactly on point. Or at least that what they need and they can likely obtain someone like him for a reasonable value.

they cut his pay, he’s got one year left, on a deal with an out. He’s a 3 there.. they have to be heading for a rebuild.

Beane has said on numerous occasions that his philosophy is when he looks at guys as potential trade targets he will not consider players in the final year of their deal. He sees it as needing at least that 2nd year of having the player here and in the building as proper value on any move.

If you look at the last couple of deadline deals he made, this reinforces it. Both Nyheim Hines and Rasul Douglas had contracts that extended past the acquiring season.

So, if people were to try and speculate who Beane may target...look at guys that have 2-3 years left on their deal.

lockett is under  contract for 24 and 25

I don’t really agree… but if you are Seattle and have a shot at playoffs why would you trade Lockett?

value- they’d probably take a 3rd or 4th for him, bills desperately need someone who can reliably open up get deep and track the deep ball. Lockett or someone like him that could come it, play the role quickly at likely a low cost trade for Buffalo. He’s #3 in Seattle by snap count.

Single high safety coverage they’ve seen the past two weeks is a problem that has to get fixed.

Really thin at LB (4). If Matakevich has to play LB, I'll throw up.

    What other choice is there?

Look this game is all on the front 4. They’ve got 10 D linemen today. They have to win for the defense.

Yes billionaires with unlimited funds that want to rule the world and ensure their spot amongst the ruling class. Much different than upper middle class families that are just trying to work hard and have a good life without giving it all back to the government aka the dirtbags at Davos trying to own everything while "you will own nothing"

Nuance is lost on these people.

I believe This is exactly what he would say if compared to someone… are you him just trolling yourself or one of his kids?

wow decent prose.  who wrote that for you.  highly atypical.

but you're still too dumb to understand that accentuating lifestyle differences between the haves and have nots (even at the margins and not the extremes) crystallizes the impetus for the MAGA cult.  It's the essence of MAGA and it smells like envy.

I’ve finally realized what it is about you. You display the same pathological narcissism as none other than Donald J Trump.  You’re a poor man’s lower class less accomplished Trump.

Your post above is effectively (and for those impersonators at home say this in your best trump voice) “that cult doesn’t like me because they want to be me” 😂

that’s why you perseverate over him so much.

your one Trumpy *****. I bet you have even worse hair and fake tan 😂
