  1. Yeah, I haven't moved off of that yet either
  2. Not to mention that they still have Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor, and Dorial Green-Beckham
  3. I agree that some of those can't be answered. All I can say is that he was able to handle No. 1 WR targets for the final 9 games of 2015, so I would guess that yes, he can do so when he's healthy. I don't care at all about his social media blow-up; he's a kid. I would hope, however, that he's not messing around with activities that the team docs are against.
  4. Yes, I'm saying that...although I do leave room for the possibility that people simply aren't paying attention to his performance metrics (or simply don't pay attention to context). If it feels like a bust, then it's because they haven't made good enough use of him when he's on the field. He's played in 77% of the games that have taken place since was drafted, so it's hardly been the case that he's unavailable. The biggest issue, as I continue to say, has been targeting him. When he's received targets even close to on part with other No. 1 WRs in this league, he's actually outperformed the field.
  5. 40+ point player with 40+ PIM for 4 consecutive seasons; easy to see why he's coveted. He's also become a plus player since being traded to Washington. Moreover, he's a guy that can both knock an offensive player off the puck and move the puck up ice in transition.
  6. No, it's because if I'm betting on a QB, I want to make sure the guy is going to make football a priority. I want a guy that loves the game and is more interested in being good at football than making himself a story. I'm not saying that Rosen isn't that guy, but I am saying that the signs of him being more interested in his own personal agenda are there and should be monitored.
  7. I couldn't care less about his political views; I'm fare more worried about his decision-making. And I'm not alone: http://thebiglead.com/2017/05/04/nfl-scout-and-executive-on-josh-rosen-tons-of-issues-and-a-mess-off-the-field/
  8. I'll second that--undeniable talent, but he shows signs of being a serious headcase.
  9. The hate for Watkins is simple: there's a subset of fans that believe the team gave up too much to get him, and are too invested in that idea to separate the cost from the player. Personally, I didn't hate the trade at the time. I thought it was a lot to give up, but I understood why they did it. That has zero effect on how I view the player. He's elite when he's on the field and given No. 1 WR targets; that's not up for debate. If folks are of the opinion that he should prove that he can stay healthy before the team gives him a long-term deal, then that's absolutely reasonable (and I agree with it). To say that the team should simply get rid of him now is to be detached from 3 points of reality: - He's a very good football player - He's the only WR on the roster that the QB trusts implicitly - His trade value is at an all-time low given his 2016 injury issues and his contract status
  10. No question in my mind that Frazier was hired because he had experience with that scheme in 2000-2001. Jeff's major concern with Frazier--at least as he explained it to me--is his play-calling as a DC. However, I can't imagine that McDermott won't have his hands in the mix there.
  11. I think they almost have to make a run at Shattenkirk in FA. Just think how different the top-5 D could look next season if it includes Risto, Shatty, McCabe, Antipin, and Guhle. As I've said though, Shattenkirk will be the prize of all FA prizes, so I'd probably be prepared to settle for Karl Alzner as a consolation. More of a 2nd/3rd pair guy, but solid.
  12. That's also spoken with total disregard to the idea that Frazier will be running McDermott's scheme here.
  13. Don't bother. He has something against Sammy. He basically makes outlandish statements about him just for entertainment purposes. Facts don't matter
  14. It works just fine as a 0.5:1 replacement for coating meat, frying, thickening, etc. Don't ever try to bake with it though
  15. Yeah I'll probably use potato starch--Mrs. Bandit can't do gluten
  16. Not much to it really. I have plenty of chuck steak, so I'll cut up a 2-lb steak and use that. Melt some butter and sweat down some onions and garlic, toss in the chuck and season liberally with salt/pepper before browning. Then I'll add in some bell pepper, beans, diced tomatoes, chili powder (probably plain red and ancho--my 4-year olds eat it so I can't go spicy like I'd like to), cumin, coriander, and oregano. Top it off with homemade beef stock and tomato paste and bring to a boil. After an hour or two of simmering, I'll give it a taste test, re-season as necessary, and check the beef for tenderness. Once it's good, I'll add a masa/water mixture and cook another 20-30 minutes to thicken. Pretty standard I'd imagine.
  17. If any team was gauging Anthony Lynn's ability to be a HC in this league based upon what he did with EJ Manuel at QB in a meaningless game, then that team was approaching things completely wrong IMO.
  18. Doesn't that say even more about his ability? I mean, the idea that Tyrod hasn't had a good enough OC when the last OC had them at 7th in the NFL in points per game prior to EJ's debacle in week 17 seems a bit miscast to me.
  19. I promise I'm not trying to hammer you here, but that doesn't seem to be in concert with your info that it would be a one-year deal for Maclin. If the plan was to have him in the fold in the event that Sammy walks after this year, then he'd be getting more than 1 year, right?
  20. Our last offensive coordinator got a head coaching gig
  21. Spot on with everything here. Make sure you get to Roost and/or Aro Tapas next time you're in town...lunch or dinner at either are fantastic.
  22. Up until the turtles comment I thought you were thinking of me
