  1. Good grief. So wait, all of sudden Fitz doesnt suck because he had broken ribs? You dont think that info was released now for a reason?

Cmon, its not like he regressed completely, he simply had an average Fitz year. He's always been an inaccurate passer who takes a lot of risks and is an INT machine. Broken ribs did not change who he was.

He wasnt playing all that well for weeks before the injury supposedly happened.

Im not a Fitz hater, but fans are delusional if you think this revelation is going to get you an awesome QB next year. He is what he is, nothing more or less.

  2. QB is the least of our problems right now. With a healthy starting line up, Fitz plays pretty good. Our problem is the defense and lack of depth. However, if an amazing QB prospect fell to us in the draft (and based on the way we are playing- he wouldn't have to fall very far), then I say we draft him.

QB is part of the problem. Fitz's throws which were high and off target had nothing to do with his WRs or OL. Hes an inaccurate QB, why do you think he wasnt a starter until he was 28???? bc no other NFL personnel saw what Gailey saw? cmon now.

Even earlier in the season he was making terrible throws. this isnt something that just appeared.

  3. Look back to that first drive where the Bills got a FG, 3rd down and 2 and Gailey calls a pass play... when the first 8 yards from the Dolphins 20 came from Fred on 2 plays. I don't get why the Bills are passing on 3rd and 2

I don't get why the Bills gave up on the running game this week and last week. Clearly Jackson was injured in the 2nd half this week. But last week against Dallas he had a 114 yards on 13 carries a 8.7 YPC avg and they don't run it more? The freaking man gets the nickname megamind and the last three weeks he has turned into megabuffoon. If something isn't working he doesn't have a plan B?

How is it Fitz fault if other teams have figured out how to stop Gaileys offense, isn't it up to the HC to think up something new to defeat what changes the defenses have made? While I agree that Fitz has played badly these last few weeks, lots of errant throws. But then the entire team.has played badly right along with him.

Ya know, this is kind of why I have always advocated building a big powerful O line with top talent and building a power running attack to go along with it. Screw this finesse offensive shi...err, stuff!

youve continued to post this stat but he wasnt avg 8.7 yards until garbage time, when dallas was running a prevent defense and didnt care about the running game.

A huge part of the problem is Fitz, he isnt hitting his open guys. I know his WR did him no favors but a high caliber QB isnt throwing high and missing on all those other throws.

Its mind boggling that fans can watch the collapse of this team and refuse to attribute it to the poor play of the QB. Ive said from the beginning that FItz isnt all that great. His numbers are bearing that out, he's reverting to a mediocre QB who had a few hot games.

  4. If you solely want to blame the QB for the loss, then your in the low IQ category along with the other tools. Like I stated its a team game, the team lost this game and not one singular player.

Also like I stated, if I'm going to point fingers at anyone for this loss, its the HC who didn't run the ball more when his RB was getting 8.7 YPC.

Teams have figured out how to shut down the QB by shutting down the short passing game, (which btw was the only effective way the Bills could move the ball passing it) so the HC decides to just keep throwing it?

Chan Gailey takes full blame for this loss, not the defense, not the QB!

Again the bills were down 28-7 and freddy wasnt averageing 8.7 at that point. He got a lot of garbage time yardage that boosted the average.

Why does CG run the ball down 3 TDs???

  5. Dude cmon, your RB is getting 8.7 YPC and you still throw it?

All the bills needed to do was run the ball more, move the chains, make first downs and keep the ball out of Romo- Fitz hands. Could have been a completely different game.

THe Bills were down 21-0 and Fred had 9 yards rushing on three attempts. They shouldve established the run at that point??? Fred finished the 1st half with 28 yards rushing and the Bills were down 28-7.

You would keep running the ball down 3 and 4 TDs down in the 2nd half????

  6. So what generally happens when the opposing team gets a 21 point lead early in the game? (the Colts thrived on this thru Manning's entire career) The defense pins their proverbial ears back and comes after the QB, and as usual when the team is trying to play catch up the OC-HC just resort to throw, throw, throw!

Doesn't it bother anyone else that Fred Jackson got 114 yards on only 13 carries...8.76 YPC and Gailey keeps throwing against a team that is coming after the QB every play!!!

Sorry guys, but Gailey was a doo doo head least week, and he duplicated it again this week

he got 8.7 ypc because Boys were up all game and didnt need to stop the run. They were in a prevent style defense, so yea freddy got yards, but they werent exactly trying to stop him.

The D didnt pin their ears back, they were getting pressure rushing 4 guys even when not blitzing. It still doesnt explain how bad the offense has been the last 6 games.

  7. EVERY qb looks average with no protection and mediocre receivers. We made a couple of very good QBs look horrible this year. It happens.

ONE GAME does not define a player or career.

The Bills have shown they can run with good teams. Fitz has shown he can lead the offense. They've just had a bad couple of weeks. It happens to almost every team.

    Move on.

Its not one game, its a pattern.

He's got the 2nd most INTs in the league right now. They are 2-4 in their last 6 games. Its not about just Dallas. Its not all Fitz's fault either.

In that timespan he's thrown 7 TDs and 9 INTs. He has also missed wide open guys, like Jones yesterday. Yea WRs have dropped some too.

But you are willfully ignoring the fact Fitz is also a major reason for their recent sucking. After a hot 3 game start his last 6 games have shown what he really is.

  8. yes the defense played bad... but you cant win if you only score 7 points. Fitz shoulders a lot of that blame as a QB, and he played terrible. Overthrowing receivers, and general inaccuracy in the passing game caused the offense to look so stale. He wasnt even hitting his slants in stride, he was bad this game from start to finish.

Thing is, the traits are not new to Fitz. The defense gave up a ton of points yesterday too. But that doesnt explain his overall poor play the past weeks. Like i said earlier, after the first few games he is simply showing what he really is, an average QB.

  9. When you don't have your fourth play on offense until you are down by 14 points, that kind of has an effect on a QB. The game plan changes. With that said... he didn't play horrible. I just think the Jets and the Boys figured the Bills offense out. Now, can Chan adjust?

I dont know why pople keep saying this..... down 14-0 in the 1st quarter with nearly 50 mins to play does NOT materially change your gameplan.

Fitz was not all of sudden forced to run crappy plays.

He is what he is, you can blame the defense all day and they deserve the blame. But Fitz is merely reverting back to his career avg #s which arent pretty

  10. Actually, the prior poster was correct. Nearly 40% of Bills fans at the games are from Canada. Try crossing into Canada after a game at the Ralph. You will find it packed with people heading back to Canada. The region from Southern Ontario to Syracuse has somewhere between 5-8 million, making the Bills potential market HUGE if exploited correctly.

40% are Canadians??? This number is really off, its actually closer to 2% or 15,000 per game according to http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/10/19/AR2007101900608.html.

I have seen estimates near 15 percent, but its not 40.

  11. I hope everyone who is crying about "Buy American" doesn't work for a company that exports anything, its kind of hypocritical to say you should only buy stuff you make while expecting the rest of the world to buy your stuff too.

I bet the Bills were going to "buy american", and thats what caused the delay in shipping. The American company manufacturing the flags probably had to wait for the government to lower their tax rate so they could hire an extra employee who can complete the application form for a stimulus check, and when the application was processed 4-6 weeks later, the union representing the workers decided to strike because manufacturing those flags would increase their work load, and some of the employees were offended to make these flags cause they are not Bills fans So after a few weeks of negotiations they settled on higher wages which led the owners of the company to file for bankruptcy when they found out they had invested in a ponzi scheme and it caused the Bills to scramble and they found a deal at DHgate for flags after talking to some fans about where they purchased their jerseys from

    but dey took er jobs!

  12. Props for calling Obama Hitler and shouldn't be pulled for that, after all "freedom" of speech right?

I don't like country so maybe Metalica's Eye of the Beholder

... "You can do it your own way

If it's done just how I say. Independence limited

Freedom of choice is made for you my friend

Freedom of speech is words that they will bend

    Freedom with their exception ..."

    youtube.com/watch?v=iKRR7IakiVM

This is not a freedom of speech issue. This isnt the "librul" media attacking a poor little country singer. MNF, the same show that had on Rush, decided they didnt want a song from a guy throwing out Hitler comparisons. No one is saying he doesnt have a right to say what he said.

Its a business choice, you know the free market, the right wingers should applaud this.

  13. From the WSJ none the less, this is the premier paper in the world. If they write something business wise, it's pretty much a lock.

they are one of the standard business papers for sure, but they certainly are not a lock, they along with many others had the financial meltdown all wrong.

why do they couch our success by saying we copied the Pats??? spread offensive was around long before Hoodie.

I say our Buffalo Bills come flying out of the tunnel with this blaring (starting at the 1:30 mark) and I might shart on the nearest Boston Buffon in anticipation for the epic game that will unfold. Go Bills and screw the streak......it's OUR TIME!

I wouldnt mind this song at all, but this isnt a big city.

Bills fans would prefer to hear a song from the 70s they heard 5 times on 97 rock the morning before kickoff instead.

  15. guess you missed the contract he signed not too long ago and is in the middle of...they already paid the guy

there is no rush and they have to resign Fitz and Johnson so Jackson can wait

Or the fact that at 30 its risky business to pay a RB. Its not just about the carries or mileage folks, he's 30 and his body is different than when he was younger. RBs dont have the shelf life.
