That's Alvin Garrett who Howard Cosell was talking about when he said that during a Redskins Monday Night Football game (at least that's what I remember). I remember wincing when I heard him say that. I usually liked Howard, though - he seemed to enjoy saying controversial things. There's nobody like that these days. Too bad.Look at that little m......nevermind.

Didn't he play linebacker for the Titans?Bollocks.

Now that this is done, who is staking out the airport and local high end restaurants?

Somehow, some way, I have a feeling the Jets will have something to play for that last week. Sanchez will have a typical Sanchez-like day, but Tebow will save the day for the Jets and they will go on to make the playoffs. It figures...The Bills just seem to come up small whenever pride is on the line. I suspect they barely show up for the game in Toronto, lose a dull one to Miami, and then, they beat the Jets the last week of the season....and then talk about how it was "important to go out on a winnning note", and how beating the Jets will "set the tone for next season", "send the loyal fans, the best fans in the world, off on a winnig note", yadda yadda yadda..and it will leave those who want to blieve in them (I am one of them) with just that slightest twinge of hope that maybe they are getting a little better...it is becoming all too familiar.

I sure would like to see this lease situation settled sooner rather than later. The silence is deafening...

for what it's worth, and to be fair, Paul Hamilton was inducted into the Iowa State Hockey Hall of Fame. the "high school" reference is quite misleading.

I like Hamilton's comments - especially his post-game analysis on WGR's website

I'm a glutton for punishment. Sure, maybe I'm not as excited about the games three days in advance anymore. Now it's like 3 minutes in advance. But still, when the game begins, I watch and start thinking of ways we could pull off the upset. Crazy, I know.Since a loss to the Pats on the road is a virtual lock, at 3-6 are you throwing up on the season completely and does this become last year all over again with everyone walking away? Might as well get it started now.

Ed Hochuli is running for Congress? Who knew? After being bombarded with ads for the congressional battle between Collins & Hochul, I walk into my polling place to discover with re-districting that is no longer my district. WTF!!!

48. I became a fan when my Economics teacher in 1985 would make fun of the Bills every Monday after another loss. I grew to hate Economics and love the Bills. I am still an eternal optimist, although for some reason last Sunday's loss really hit me hard. I felt like Michael Corleone in The Godfather Part III. Just when I thought they were finally going to be competitive, they rip it away from me...

We're in 3rd place in the division - not fourth. OK - tied for 3rd. That's positive, isn't it?

That crew was better than the "regular" crew that officiated the Bills-Bengals game last year. Remember the phantom dropped pass on the Bills' potential game-winning drive?

I love how your auto-signature dreams about the world living as one, but just above it you wish cancer on the JetsHow I hate the Jets!
I hope they all get cancer.
Let's Go Buffalo!

Are you sure it's not Evan Longoria? He's closer in age to Sanchez

OK - back for another season. Here goes:
Underdogs again
This time the Bills have a shot
I say they win big

Wawrow - I'm sorry you have to share the same initials as Joe W. As for olives - the big fat green olives in a Bombay Sapphire martini are the only ones I like...

Isn't he a former vice president?Who the hell is Spero Dedes? I've probably watched games he's done before but that name does not ring a bell at all. And I don't forget funny sounding names.

I think Hannah Bueler is AWFUL.
Hey - I LIKE Hannah! Regarding Nigel, he reminds me of a young Mike Tyson - back when Tyson was knocking out opponents in the first round. His voice is lower, though...

Talk time is nearly over.
Production time is close at hand.
Show us the baby, Shawne.
Oh, we're doing Haiku already? Here goes:
Merriman is back
Lots of sacks, with Williams, too
Are twelve wins OK?

How does Ronde's barber even know Dan Marion? That's kind of a strange coincidence, don't you think?
John Wayne's real first name was Marion

He was pitching something and talking about the draft. Can't recount anything specific he opined about as he sounded borderline illiterate... still hate him
On the other hand, I think as a former athlete, Jim Cooley has great potential as a product endorser...

The more I read about the WR's available in free agency, the less I'm worried about losing Stevie Johnson. I'd love to have him stay, but if I'm making the decisions for the Bills, I wouldn't want to be held hostage by this one. Demetrius Bell, though - even though I think he's only average, I would find a way to keep him.
-
Imagine if The Bills bring back Edwards as Defensive coordinator, don't give Fred the raise he was promised (and he holds out), they let Stevie walk and bring in no significant free agents.
Brandon is a doosh, we all know that but he has marketed the team well, but even PT Barnum couldnt sell tickets to that trainwreck.
The Bills must make a splash and not just cosmetic ones like T.O.
Doosh?

Ralph Wilson reminds me of an old boss of mine. Ralph is direct and to the point. But his point is usually a good one. I agree that it will take time to build this into a contender. Ralph said earlier in the year that he was "shocked" at the success of the Bills. At the time I thought he was being too negative. I was wrong - he was right. The only disagreement I have is when he said it would take several years to rebuild the franchise. 2012 is the third year in this experiment. We should start to see some improvement by then. If Cincinnati can do it, so can Buffalo.
