+1 was a great Bill classy all the way. Now to get rid of Kelsay and we're good. Guess it took a new coaching staff which has no emotional ties but can only make decisions based on film to trim the fat.

Fitz has to restructure. There is no other viable way he's worth keeping around. also cutting Kelsay and Mcgee will save us 10.5million. those things all need to happen for us to have a bit of FA money, sign our own ( Byrd and Levitre), and be able to sign the rookie class.

This is a sign that the evaluation process is pretty thorough at 1 Bills Drive. These veterans don't fit in to what their trying to do and I am excited that they recognize that they need to get better at those positions. Hopefully they purge a few more before its over.

Listening to John Murphy's interview of Marrone down at the Senior Bowl in Mobile at BB.com. He said ya know 65 times in a 4:37 span. Thats a younger guy habit as is the word like that comes out of every high school kid the same amount. I know this is an absolutely useless post but I'm bored and the generation gap is pretty obvious between Marrone and Gailey. Here's to hoping younger is better

Same here. We have to take a different mentality when it comes to veterans who just aren't worth their contracts. The coaching staff is a new beginning. The young productive players are worth keeping mixed in with value veterans. The face of this roster needs to change and freeing up room to resign Levitre and Byrd plus sign some key FA's needs to be the focus period.

Good post. Was thinking the same thing. It started off great withe Pettine little shaky with Hackett to me but we'll see. Then the "no stone unturned" thing kind of fell be the wayside. Cronies are one thing. Populating the staff with people who will "be on the same page" doesn't mean jack if they suck as coaches. Crossman?....really?!? I know Marrone says he will oversee all facets of coaching but it will be overwhelming when your coaches blow.

We could do worse than Milliner. coupled with Gilmore it give Pettine two talented CB's he can rely on like he had in New York allowing him to send some blitzes. I would not be upset with that pick.

I admit I am known as an overall doom and gloomer here. I will say that for the first time in a while I am genuinely excited about this teams direction. I will temper my enthusiasm with a wait and see attitude but I am optimistic with the young blood and direction being infused in running this ball club,

Ok I know its a week in and they just left probably most are still decompressing afte locker clean out day. Just wondering why there hasn't been much out of the roster good or bad. Was kind of hoping to see a "ok this is the new guy lets let him know we're on board" kind of attitude. Maybe I'm reading too much into it. Anyone else wanna chime in?

now this hire I am sure about. Pettine is a young aggressive coach and his defenses with the jets have been stout and aggressive even with the rest of their circus going on. This is a great move.

Ok My Two cents. I can't help but feel Marrone's credibility is going out the window with this hire. He said and i quote " I want to bring in coordinators with NFL experience" ummmm......??????

I just have the sneaking suspicion Russ will want the Pub. If it happens we will know the strength of the Power Brandon does have because if it happens it will be all him.

I have one thing to say lets look up how many times Fitz targeted a receiver over 15 yards down the field and give me the completion percentage. I don't have that stat handy (sure someone will) but I bet its abysmal. An Nfl QB cannot miss that many throws down field and some really badly and expect to keep defenses honest period.
