  1. The object isn't to compare across eras. It is to compare and rank teams/players FROM each era relative TO that era. Everyone knows teams from yesteryear couldn't compete against the best today. By that standard, yes, those earlier teams very much belong on the list.

    Besides, it's all subjective anyway.

    GO BILLS!!!

Right. Ask 20 different people and you'd get 20 different answers. This is just one man's opinion on the 10 best offenses. I'd be willing to bet that if you asked 100 people the same question, the 90's Bills would be on alot of those lists along with numerous others.

  2. As others have said, if he didn't really follow the Braves, then its Ok. But if he went around saying that he was a Braves fan while they won 14 straight division titles, then switched to the Phillies, he's a bandwagoner. He can't even use the excuse that he can't watch Braves games anymore because they're always on TBS here in Philly and everywhere else.

Conversely, I live in Philly and it's hard not to root for this team and get caught up in it. Being from WNY, I never really followed a team, but following the Phillies is almost as fun as following the Bills. I can safely say that I'll probably be a Phillies fan for life, regardless of if I move from here.

  3. I'm having trouble seeing Thomas make the team at linebacker. He hasn't seemed to distinguish himself up to now (though it's only OTAs) and there is a lot of underwhelming/unproven competition there. I think Corto would be a good ST option over Thomas, if they think Bowen/Harris/Ellison are going o keep him on the bench. The only way I see Thomas making it is if Bowen is looked at as more of a STer than LB when training camp gets under way.

Yeah, Thomas & Bowen are the wildcards in our LB corp. Thomas could very easily be a camp cut, especially if Bowen comes out and performs. Although, who knows how the severe knee injury could affect Bowen's speed. He might be done before he even starts.

I think that out of everyone, I'd like to see Harris light it up in camp and eventually overtake Ellison. We've seen what Ellison can do, and it isn't much. Hopefully Harris will bring something to the table that Ellison can't.

  4. I can't see us cutting Ellis already. He had no impact last year, but at the same time, he was a rookie and a 3rd round pick.

I'd like to see Corto make the roster, too. I like that he's a local guy, but more importantly on special teams, he was outstanding. We just cut Costanzo, so I think that Corto has a good shot at making the roster.

I'd like to see Simpson, Bryan, & Oman cut.

  5. If you have Comcast, they'll give you cables for free now, just ask the technician. The last time I had a problem, the guy gave me a 24' HDMI cable for free just because I asked. All Systems Broadband is the brand that they had.

  6. Per text message.

No surprises, but the Bell was Joel Bell, not Demetrius. I always thought that Costanzo was a good ST'er, but I guess they have better guys to fill his role.

    OL Joel Bell

    LB Blake Costanzo

    DT John Faletoese

    DB Kyle Ward

    DE Gerald Washington

  7. I was breaking it down and looked at it pretty objectively and thought AZ was a close second to us but they do not have the depth at RB like us past Hightower. AZ also has a aged QB in Warner and Trent reminds me of a much younger version of him (Quick thinking / better release time). AZ Wr's are equal to T.O. & Evans in many ways Stat wise as well.

If the line plays hard in the trenches this year / we get a true no huddle dialed in tight, we've got ourselves a multitude of points. I really think that we have our best chance to score ever, that includes the K-gun offenses as well.

    Get your popcorn ready.

    Breaking what down?

  8. Yes, you got it - it was the play where FatBoy, even though he had a clear opportunity to throw a block, just stood there and did nothing, blocked no one, made no attempt whatsoever to move his fat ass and try to at least knock Elam off-stride as he breezed right by the statue that was Peters. That was the play. Glad you remember.

Exactly. He blocked nobody on that play. He tried, but was burnt:

    That was his assignment, Thurmanator.
