  1. I love this! And Frank too. He was a badass in every sense of the word. Thanks for sharing.
  2. I don’t know how many of you are into baseball but there’s a great video from about 20 years ago of an infield fly play involving the Expos on defense. There’s a popup in the infield with bases loaded and one out. Ump correctly calls infield fly, which means the batter is out and runners can advance at their own risk (no force play). The Expo fielders collide and the ball drops to the turf. Runner on third takes off for home as the ball skitters away. Pitcher picks up the ball and steps on home plate before the runner gets there. Because there’s no force, he had to tag him and didn’t. Ump correctly calls him safe. Expos lose their mind and start screaming at the ump. Frank Robinson comes out of the Expo dugout, but not to continue the argument. Instead he screams at his players to shut up and get the ***** back to their positions. He knew the rule. I get backing up your players, but when they do something monumentally stupid, you need to teach them how to take the L instead of doubling down and whining like Andy Reid did last night.
  3. This is longer than even I thought it would be.
  4. A sideline reporter making things up? That never happens.
  5. Can we make a little more out of the fact that the Chiefs ran three plays after that call and Mahomes failed miserably on every single one of them? Given that he was still steaming and irrational after the turnover on downs, during the postgame handshakes, and even during the postgame presser... it's fair to conclude that the call was inside his head while he was supposed to be getting 15 yards for a first down and a shot at a FG or even a TD. If this was Josh the narrative would have been "Allen let that call get into his head instead of focusing on what he had to do next."
  6. I also have seen it, and didn't bother to learn the screennames of the whackadoodles who posted it.
  7. I guess the next thing will be people scrutinizing every Chiefs offensive play this season to see how many times someone lined up Offside and whether it was called or a "warning" was given.
  8. It's almost like they thought it would look more like a straight line to the refs if Toney lined up a yard ahead of the ball and the RT lined up a yard behind it. A little trick of perspective. Problem is, there are actually yard lines and *****.
  9. In this case the guy who lined up offside was literally the same guy who set the pick, caught the lateral, and "scored." There is no way people can say that was inconsequential.
  10. I think it may very well already be happening. They went off on the refs last week in Green Bay too. Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch.
  11. And that play was just as critical. The Chiefs were moving the ball on their opening drive and the pick set the tone. If they go up 7-0 there it’s a different game. We punted after that but it gave the D a huge lift that they sustained for a good while.
  12. Not appalling so much as revealing.
  13. Spagnuolo adjusted. His adjustments were more effective than Brady’s. That said, I never felt like KC was dictating the game on either end in the way that we did in the first half. If this game was in Buffalo, we blow their doors off.
  14. A quarter of my family tree is from/buried in KC and I spent a lot of time there as a kid, especially in summers. It’s a great place with great food and great people who are borderline insufferable about their football team. Not unlike WNY in that respect. Glad you had a good time. Glad we beat their asses.
  15. Timmuh still grinding that axe, I see… here’s his contribution to the Athletic article on the game.
  16. He should have said “You lucky we ass.”
  17. Exactly. Do you think Belichick would have blamed the refs? He would have known the rules and the points of emphasis and he would have just said “we’re on to whoever.” Then he would have cut Toney’s ass in the locker room.
  18. I still remember when Sam Bradford sustained an injury to his non-throwing hand and someone said “fortunately, he has two non-throwing hands.”
  19. The Chiefs complaining about the Toney call would be like if we complained that the refs called us for 12 men in the Denver game. Absolute punk moves by Reid and Mahomes to make this about the refs when it was their own lack of execution that did them in.
  20. They got every call for five years. I’d be upset too. 🤣
  21. Best part is after showing our collective ass all week long with the Von and McD stories, all anyone will remember is Patty losing his ***** like a four-year-old.
  22. I kind of think Mahomes was looking for Toney to chew out at first, then caught himself to make it look like he was screaming at the refs.
  23. We get a first down with 2:12 and might give it back to them before the warning.
  24. We must lead the league in terrible first down plays
  25. ***** YEAH
