What will be the game plan???
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Score more points than the Steelers. But seriously, I do believe that McDermott is gradually shaking the notion that we need to play low scoring possession games to stand a chance against top teams. We can be the apex predator that we've feared. -
At the beginning of the season we had 4 games scheduled against teams that were considered to be SB contenders in KC, Seattle, San Fran and Pittsburgh. So far we're 2-1 in those games with the caveat that we didn't get the 49ers' SB capable roster (on the other hand the Rams are now considered a contender and we beat them too so...) In other words you won't catch me fretting over a loss on Sunday but a win would be enormous. Frankly I think we already played the most important game of the season against Seattle. We were 2-2 in the previous 4 games with less than convincing wins over the Pats and Jets and the narrative of a season that might go south vanished after we pounded on them.

Marshawn Lynch Would Un-Retire For A Contender

I'm only leaving this comment so I don't get fined. -
I'm torn on that one but I think I want KC to win. The NFL is just too unpredictable and I do not want Week 17 to be for the division.

Suddenly we're a top-5 franchise in long term outlook and stability. Who'd a thunk? -
PFF ranks Josh as 6th best QB in week 13.

I get the sense that many posters here get a kick out of scanning every piece of media after a win until they find something vaguely disrespectful and then using it to suggest that there's a narrative against the Bills. There's not. Holistically we're getting enormously positive attention and analysts/pundits are fawning over Josh. -
Not going to comment on Kyler Murray's character because honestly none of us know. I do think that the Cardinals are basically following in the Browns footprints the last couple seasons of being anointed the hot new contenders before really proving anything. As if NFL defenses were going to go "OH NO, NOT THE AIR RAID" and collapse.
