Dungy keeps repeating this thing about how Todd Bowles loves to stop the run on 1st down and then get after the QB. Is this not the goal of all NFL defenses in every game? -

Given that WFT won't pick until the 20's in the first round, Heinicke can actually play himself into a starting role here. -

Idiotic scheduling that we were at 1:00 and this was the primetime game. -
Wow. Is Russ allowed to like...steal his OL's golf clubs after this?
-
He ended up being quite a bit better than Sammy Watkins. Never saw that coming.

I'd say Rams have the better overall roster but a team starting Russel Wilson losing to a team starting John Wolford is an upset no matter what. Their defense is just playing with such swagger.

Seattle's going out with a whimper.

Numerous times this season, including today, I've seen people in the GDT declaring that we'd lost games THAT WE'RE CURRENTLY LEADING.
-
For real. We're a great team with flaws, but it's the NFL which has a salary cap so there's no such thing as a team without flaws. I get tired of reading about how "pathetic" we are after every bad play on this board.
-
Both of these teams play an inferior Josh Allen-less brand of football that I just don't find entertaining.
-
I realize that the Rams D is great but what happened to the Seahawks team that was just outscoring everyone?
-
I think what people don't get is that this game was never ever ever ever ever EVER EVEEEERRRR going to be easy. Not only are the Colts a top-10 roster but this team was responsible for getting a 25 year old 3,000 pound monkey off the back of the city. Some things just don't die easy. Allowing a comeback, getting hosed by the refs and then the game coming down to a Hail Mary, the ONE THING that dogged us this season, was great poetry. We exorcised the demons.

Reich did us some favors

Very true. I think he's a great coach. One of the interesting things about football is that head coaching breaks down into super nuanced game planning but also binary decision making. -
Daryl Williams love

That particular type of sack/fumble where the QB tries to escape is so destructive because usually there aren't any OL around to recover it. When Allen gets extended Williams should get a nice car to drive to the golf course. -
Not sure who Williams is. I'd like to see that Antonio W. Harkens who played in Week 17.

The colts fumble that was not called
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
By the way, Poyer got robbed of a moment here because the entire NFL world should be talking about his 4-D chess play that won the game. Waiting for Pascal's leg to leave the ground...I don't even understand how he thought of that in the heat of the moment. -
Gab"Slow Drag" Davis

I think Gabe will reach 1,000 yards next season and never look back. -
The colts fumble that was not called
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Disagree. There's a very clear image that shows space between Pascal's leg and the ground and space between Poyer's hand and Pascal's waist. Impossible to call in real time but crystal clear on replay, precisely the point of the replay. -
Chef Russ is cooking up a turd sandwich so far.

What Did Indy do on D?
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Their D played alright and definitely had playoff-level intensity but it would have been a laugher if ours had played even decently. We still put up 400 yards despite allowing them to possess the ball a long time. -
Pray its the Steelers
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to ProcessTruster's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I say Titans barely edge the Steelers as a favored opponent but I don't think they'll beat the Ravens. -
Reich did us some favors
SageAgainstTheMachine replied to SageAgainstTheMachine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Basically, yeah. If he called the entire game with a "burn the ships" mentality those calls would have made sense, but clearly the strategy was to possess the ball for 35 minutes and put up enough points to win by a single score.
