  1. So you wanted them to take an over-hyped guy way before he should have been selected? That move is what some of the past regimes did. How did two first round picks against Watkins work out?
  2. Sorry but the guy is a stick figure compared to other NFL athletes. Maybe he will make the roster but if he hopes to have a long career he needs to add to his frame.
  3. Jerry is s high motor intense player. I think while he is not a Boy Scout 100% of the time he fits the mold for McDermott in terms of production and hustle. We also tend to not look at how guys are the rest of the week. It is my understanding Hughes is a person who prepares and practices hard. I hope the sign him to an an extension before the season starts.
  4. I doubt it. The rotation is about keeping players healthy and fresh as both games and the season go past.
  5. Let’s hope for a Foster like scenario where after the season is over the kid gets high praise for his play.
  6. Prayers to the families involved.
  7. The only thing more worthless than mock drafts are draft grades. Nobody knows until a handful of years in. If you get a difference maker plus two starters from any draft you’ve done well. This draft has the markings of exactly that.
  8. You just took a turn, it happens to everyone if you are around long enough. Glad to see you are back here.
  9. yes and then teams generally leave $8-$10 going into the season to cover signings for replacements if guys get injured or if other needs come up. Additionally, The Bills will want to carry some into next year for FA signings. Hughes is likely the biggest contract to take care in the next offseason.
  10. Actually picking someone like DK Metcalf had the feel of what past regimes would do. A high draft pick on an over-hyped skill player. The type of pick that plays to the masses but does not have staying power on the roster. I really like what Beane has done with this roster both between FA and the draft. The WR corps is improved over last year (not saying much). However, what is really important is that the O-line should be remarkably better. The Bills had no ground game last year outside of Allen scrambling and leaping LB’s. With a more balanced attack and the credible threat of a rushing game the Bills should be far more efficient on offense.
  11. Not likely but maybe Jackson is the on in a million story.
  12. Good grief do they now need to do presser ratings at the combine? He’s a young man coming out of college and early at that. How many of us would look good under the same set of circumstances. Let’s let the kid have his play do the talking.
  13. Looks to play more like a safety.
  14. Your analysis misses the point, Oliver is a 3T and Harry is not. Maybe a poor man’s 3T but more likely to line up over the center.
  15. Draft grades are about as useful as mock drafts. They both fill up space and are entirely useless. The proof comes on gameday. Let’s watch Oliver play. I can’t wait.
  16. Now you think they will make the playoffs and be “exposed.” Is this much the same as the fact that the Cheats* having no WR’s last year and being “exposed?” We can only hope so. Good grief, you’ve move from a really bad premise right on to laughable.
  17. Yeah trade a true and proven, probably HOF, running back who will now play behind a much improved OL for some unproven 4th round draft pick. That makes a ton of sense.
  18. Yes, the fact that very few first year WR’s prove to be highly effective and the idea that the Bills drafted a TE with upside and ball skills should all be set aside for the OP’s wisdom. The OP calls himself a troll and that is likely what he is.
  19. The truth will come from the W-L record but man does Wawrow seem to be right. I can’t remember an offseason where there has been so much momentum going into the season. The Bills had a tough year last year but emerged from it with Josh Allen taking steps forward. With the exception of a true #1 WR on the roster they have addressed gaps and in many cases with more than one potential starter. WR aside, as I think they will get production out of the group they have, the only real question remaining after last season is will special teams improve? The Bills were flat out awful at ST’s last season. The flip side of this is that the D returns nearly intact and should only be better with Oliver at the 3T. This D has the potential to be scary good.
  20. He doesn’t understand that it makes far more sense to gamble in the third round than near the top of the draft. If this kid lives up to his potential the Bills will have had one heck of a draft. Three rounds and three starting players, two of whom likely start game #1 of their careers. That is a very good draft.
  21. Great read and wow... makes Beane look like a genius. The O-Line should take a huge step forward this year. A very solid draft so far. Finally, A GM who is not picking over-hyped skill players who are deemed risky picks.
  22. [This is an automated response] The topic title needs some TLC... It is too generic. The topic starter can edit the topic title line to make it more appropriate. Thank you.
