The Math Behind the Wide Receiver Blockbusters
BuffaloBill replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
To me this is the most interesting nugget from the article: ”• I like the role that Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy has created on his staff, first for Ben McAdoo, and now for Brian Schottenheimer—a sort of over-the-top role to be filled by an experienced coach, to monitor trends from other teams, and help build gameplans on a week-to-week basis based on the research down on those trends, and those teams.” The league tends to be a cat and mouse, you zig and I zag situation with time. Defenses adjust to what offenses are doing and vice versa - it may now be a trend to to that on a smaller scale week to week. -
Fire at Mile High Stadium. Not a small one either.

Ok. But inquiring minds want to know. Well actually my friend would like to ask but is afraid to do so. So, how do you know? -
Tyreek seeking a trade [Now: Traded to the Dolphins]

Wish he would have gone to the Jets. KC just became a worse team for this deal. -
It would not be shocking to see the Bills go CB - CB in round #1 and round #2 (magically they will be BPA at the time) - I then think R#3 is BPA (whatever position) and round 4 on there will be focus on O-line. I know those who watch highlight clips love the idea of picking up a WR high in the draft. It’s possible the Bills may not take one at all.

Nah he only scored like a 47 - Isn’t that = to an “F?”

Did anyone go to University but not make any friends there?

Your wife would appreciate it if you would stop talking to her … at least that is what she has said to us … -
Top 51 applies only from the opening of the league year through the opening of regular season. At the beginning of the season all salaries have to fit under the cap. Clearly, the Bills have plans to do this and are way ahead of any of us fans in terms of how. It just seems wild that the Bills continue to make signings that are relatively large numbers when by their own admission “they are right up against the cap.”

Just flow with it …. A LAMP for sure ….

Understood. I hate to say this in a way …. But … maybe those 13 seconds have really changed the Bills style. Beane looks like he is trying to find ways to be “all in.” You can’t say that he is not being creative.

Good signing but how do they get all of this under the cap?

People forget that the word was Hodgkins was having a good camp for the last two years before injuries derailed him. However, to the point of your post I think it is highly likely the BIlls choose a WR & CB in the first two rounds - your guess is as good as mine as to what order as it will truly depend on who is available.

$16.6MM to be precise. But, what’s a few $100K’s between friends? Do you have any extra cash to slide this way?

Last year the Bills were penultimate in the league with their use of the “12 Personnel” (1 RB and 2 TE’s) about 10% of the time. With Dabol out and McDermott making it known that he was not happy with the state of the run game last year, you have to wonder if the Bills will feature more “12 personnel” packages in 2022. Arguably, doing so might also open the door to leaving the same 11 on the field and playing more uptempo. Hard to say at this point, but my guess is that the Bills want some new wrinkles added to their potent offense. The 22 package seems much less likely given the Bills generally carry only 2 true backs on the roster on game days.

Have you asked her to do horizontal rodeo with you? It’s scared off every other woman in your life. Why do you think it would fail now?

They want to win at football.

Good grief - Niagara Falls, NY is like some 3rd world country. Sad to think about how much people once though that a casino(s) would “save” it.
