  1. The next person to post this rumor (which if true would have the Bills violating league rules) without a link will be sorry.
  2. If Mort says Carroll, my $ is on Cowher. Or anyone, other than Carroll.
  3. No team is allowed to contact Grimm until his team is out of the playoffs, or the Super Bowl bye week, whichever comes first. Not even to contact him to ask for an interview. So please fill us in on why you think he turned down an interview. Otherwise, someone please close this thread. Waste of time.
  4. Do you have any evidence at all that this is the case? Since Arizona does not have a bye this week, the Bills are not allowed to talk with Grimm. But you get an A+ for pointless speculation.
  5. I bet we could get them to throw in Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark too. And the O-line. And Bill Polian. Plus cash.
  6. Zyzlryzbkawicz is not too far off from some of the names in my family tree. But it must have been another hook footed old man.
  7. It's going to suck when the uncle passes away and leaves the mansion to his kids, who will sell it to the highest bidder. Soon you may not be able to enjoy that old mansion at all.
  8. Thanks, any chance you could PM me the password?
  9. This has come up in several threads today, but I am pretty sure NFL.com will stream the whole game.
  10. Wait, Miami beat us badly in the first meeting.... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...cast_recap.html
  11. You can assume what you want about my sources, and I'll assume that it's safe to put you on ignore.
  12. I don't see how having any amount of money or fame excuses a person from behaving decently. Thanks, but I don't need your guidance on how to form my opinions.
  13. Is anyone else ready to call this place cursed?

  15. No, of course that's not what I meant. And it's silly for you to suggest that. What charities did Jim support before he was personally impacted by this disease? I don't disagree that what Jim has done to raise awareness for this disease is a good thing, but in my opinion it's hardly selfless. If you want to hold him up as a hero, that's your prerogative. I'm not going to waste any more time with negativity, I just happen to disagree about these two being great guys. I have my reasons, as do you for admiring them, so let's leave it at that.
  16. You're right, I'm not perfect. But believe me, I'm not them to a higher standard than I would myself. There were many transgressions which members of that team got away with that would have landed you or I in jail. I'm glad Jim seems to have settled down a bit. From what I hear, Thurman still has some work to do. I wish him the best, and thank him for his time as a Bill. But for him to express any kind of indignation at being disrespected is more than a little bit ironic, at least in my opinion.
  17. Thurman and Jim were both great players. But I've heard way too many first hand accounts of poor behavior to believe that they are good people.
  18. I'm also 2-0 this year. I was at the Carolina game, and at Sunday's Miami game. Anybody want to give me some tickets for the rest of the year?
  19. 1988 vs. the Jets at Rich Stadium. I went to the game as a Jets fan (being 9 years old and born in NYC, and also finding an easy way to piss off my father.) I left as a Bills fan, after Fred Smerlas blocked what would have been a game winning field goal, and the Bills won in overtime to clinch the AFC East for the first time since 1980. http://www.nytimes.com/1988/11/21/sports/b...east-crown.html

  21. Don't forget the domestic violence charges.
  22. Yeah, then you just wouldn't be able to see the Sabres and Leafs tonight.
  23. They care about getting a big name because they think it will help us win. I think people will be willing to forego a big name if we start winning with Perry. Especially if it means we can spend some of that $10 million earmarked for Shanahan on a free agent or two. Trading down is a pipe dream. Nobody is willing to trade up and pay for a top ten pick.
