  1. "Bills are interested in speaking to guard Geoff Schwartz." - Patrick Moran, Buffalo Sports Daily http://www.kansascity.com/2014/02/28/4856386/chiefs-show-interest-in-bringing.html Seems like an intriguing proven guy to replace the whole that is on the line since Levitre left. He helped AP rush for his record year at Minnesota and was the best lineman for KC last year.
  2. Does anyone remember how bad of a CB Williams was in this league? After the first year everyone including myself thought he was a ginormous bust. He was torched everytime you turned around. They move him to safety and he lit it up. It's good to see that he found his niche. I'm proud to have him as a Bill and look forward to him using the large frame to rock people. They need to work on depth now though if Williams goes down , searcy, then who?
  3. I voted WR, I'd be happy with Evans at WR at 9 but if Watkins from Clemson slips that far we'd have the best WR in this draft at 9. If they were to go WR at 9 those would make me happy. We've been in need of a true #1 and it will only help EJ develop.
  4. Where would you like to see the Bills use their 9th pick this year? Let's hope there is another Kiko out there for us this year. GO BILLS!
  5. I could see how this could start fights but I still thought it was pretty funny especially on the Jets/dolphins fans.
  6. I searched to see if has been posted and didn't see anything. If it is already live somewhere sorry ahead of time. If it isn't enjoy. God I hate the fact of no more Bills football till August.
  7. Ending the 2013 Season out of the playoffs once again this time with an all new coaching set up, how do you feel each coach responded to their new surroundings?
  8. I say we kill em all, let the paramedics sort em out. Starting defense, Place at the table. Name that movie...
  9. When I was at the last game I was sold on the fact that he is a loser. He gave up on a deep route that EJ had put up. At least run it out and make it look like you give a sheet. He's got skill but besides the one play to win the Baltimore game he blows important plays crucial to winning.
  10. CBF, I noticed your member photo contradicts sort of with your name, you live in Canada , yet you feel the Canada Series is bad for the Bills? Interesting.. Correct me if I am making the wrong correlation.
  11. I was at the Bucs game and I don't drink, my wife can vouch for me on that... I was hammered by the 3rd quarter because it was torture watching how inept the entire organization / team have become. I felt like I was watching JV football. Ashamed of my Bills right now and I have a lot of Bills clothing that has been put aside with gasoline and a match. I look at that match on Sunday afternoons after the games and it takes all of my will not to light it and let it burn. Since I have been born into this mess I still find some shred of hope that next year will be different but after this long it's just setting myself up for heartache. I along with all of you are the product of a losing franchise... disgruntled, upset and unwilling to accept failure.
  12. Right here, I just posted about pointing the finger at Hackett for last weeks game right before the game and I take everything back. I like how he was on the sidelines and not up in the box. He should keep that going. ALSO LOVE THE QB SNEAKS on 4th and shorts.
  13. I'm in no way calling for Hacketts head and I do think he'll be the one to be at the same position next year. Saint, I obviously was estimating the numbers but I do still see Fred as a 3rd down back/ goal line role. I think we'd be much better if we defined their roles a bit better offensively. I like throwing both of them on the field at the same time to mix things up and using CJ as a receiver now that we've obviously become short staffed at the position due to injuries. LEe Lee, think if you're the coach and the Rookie isn't taking shots down the field, how would you call your next play? 5 WR Sets with no short routes, make him freaking throw it long or take a sack. Throw him into that situation more often if that is the case.
  14. I'm officially against a RB committee, which is something i left out of the initial post. I think you maybe have a few plays with both players in at the same time or putting CJ in the slot more with Freddy in the backfield. Make a decision and give either Freddy or CJ 20-30 touches a game. We're really not letting them get into a rhythm by pulling them out every other play. Not to say Spiller hasn't missed holes but i think that's partly blamed on repetition. Vision takes getting the ball over and over again until you develop a feel for the defense. I am just amazed that we haven't had both Freddy and CJ out there at the same time on some different formations with run or pass in mind.
  15. Beerball, all I'm saying is that we are past the point of winning for playoffs now. People are done with conservative calls and QB play. It was EJ's first game back I get it but you've only scored 3 points up to the 4th quarter, don't draw up plays on 3rd down that has a checkdown option. Don't give that to EJ as a safety valve on plays where it wouldn't make sense. I'm not saying the jury is out and that I don't back Hackett but I do think it's time to step up and deliver some excitement.
  16. Sunday's loss was hard to watch. Even harder to watch was the extremely vanilla play calls on offense. At the beginning of the year Hackett was interviewed by the John Murphy show saying that he was going to be utilizing our strengths getting people into space speed and allowing them to make plays. After looking through the aftermath news stories about their loss, not one media source called out Hackett for how basic JV Highschool his game plan really was. Marrone is partly to blame for not showing faith on fourth and 5 from the 36 yd line and punting but if i'm in his shoes, our defense was our only hope of scoring points and how sad is that. Mix the calls up, surprise people, maybe call a trick play every so often to keep things exciting for the fans at least. Then if we lose we could go back and say, gee that sucked but remember that one play that was a gutsy call and at least they put themselves out there a bit. I think everyone here agrees that we are all done with conservative coaching. The playoffs are lost, lets get aggressive and see what happens? Heck we might start winning games if we're relentless. Another suggestion is to use no huddle the way Kelly did when you have them on their backs, not when you're two touchdowns back and the defense is gassed. We need to huddle to give them a freaking rest. My hope for the remainder of the season is that they ditch the bullsh** play calling and get more aggressive. Open the dang playbook all the way up and if EJ can't soak it up on the fly then we need a new QB next year. Let's see what you have Hackett , your job is on the line as well and we haven't seen much more than a predictable check down offense.
  17. Will this be a close poll or will it be a no contest?
  18. Since we're down to our third string QB, I felt like we are living the movie Any Given Sunday and we're down to Steamin Willie Beamin (Thad). We need Marrone to go into the locker room and give this speech this week:
  19. Did anyone else see that 3-2 teams have over a 50% playoff birth rate where 2-3 was 30%? We still have a 30% chance to make the playoffs this year and I still believe we can. Few things that have to happen 1 ) EJ has to stay healthy and come back fast on this knee. 2) WE NEED GILMORE - with him the Gordon catch doesn't happen last night. 3)Don't blame Marrone just yet, he has had extenuating circumstances over and over that have held up the potential of this team but has to call out Hackett for a mundane playbook on offense. 4) get rid of the read option, worst time consuming play in the backfield begging for lost yards , especially with CJ. With all of the Recievers out last night why did they not USE CJ in the SLOT!!! Go Bills.
  20. This is obviously a popular opinion poll but the new Bills have shown they can win games as well as significant room for improvement in different areas. Where do you see our Bills?
  21. Winning is nice. Don't get me wrong I am not complaining one bit, the fact we were in all of these games with a chance to win and a couple of W's is awesome. I would just love for one of these games to be a blowout in our favor or for us to keep our foot on the gas until the end of the game. Starting at the second half against Baltimore they stalled. I've gotten past the fingernails and into the flesh of my fingers with this type of drama every week waiting for the Bills to be the Bills of the past 13 years. 4-0 could've been reality with certain things done differently in both losses. 2-2 is ahead of my expectations and probably ahead of 80% of most fans. I have to point out how EJ was selling the playaction. There were several times when the NFL camera operator didn't know where the ball was. He sells it very well and I think that was the most promising take away from the game yesterday besides Super Gonzo Alonso. EJ's stats were deceptive, If the fall downs and drops and feet out of bounds and flags would all have been negated, EJ was looking at a 250 yard 3 TD game. GO BILLS
  22. All have less fantasy football points than EJ... He had 1 rough game, still when you side by side his stats 4 tds 1int next to Big bens 4 tds 4 ints we shouldn't be so judge mental on a rookie who besides last games has looked the part. Not that fantasy points have any bearing on worth at the position but there are veterans playing worse for their teams than he is so judge at the end of the year and keep your heads up about our Bills. We've only just begun..to live.
  23. Our lack of depth unfortunately on the OLINE and DB is biting us in the ace. The 2013 Bills are the product of poor drafting and free agency moves of the last 5 years under Nix. I love the Leonard pick up & Lawson now if we can go out and find 4-5 more guys like them out there for other postions that'd be great. Now go do your freaking job. They have to see the current depth just ain't cutting it. My opinion is that they'll do nothing but wait for the others to come back from injury. '
