  1. Well look at it this way, they're beating the teams they should beat so far.. I think Mario was in a slight culture shock during that Jets game... new surroundings, new team, so that may have been an exception, but it's a work in progress... the D line is coming together, very good against the run, there's been some sacks(9) and some INT's, let's not expect too much too soon. This week will be a big test. I'm about 60-40 for this game, Brady isn't happy about those two losses and his supporting cast aint what it used to be, so with the confidence built on last years win over the Patriots, there's a good chance the Bills come out on top in this one, especially with the 12th man and the 13th(replacement refs)...lol Freddie should be back so there's an emotional lift, he's definately ready to run that victory flag around the whole stadium again... the glass is definately more than half full, the tide is turning, and the Ralph is gonna be Rockin'... Go Bills

  2. Even though the kick should have been made, the Bills offense didn't adjust very well to what the Giants D was doing and the Bills D couldn't get off the field. It's a team game right, so it's a team loss! I'm over it and looking forward to this team getting back there to finally get it right!!! It was a hard pill to swallow but it's made us all stronger and hungrier than ever for a championship....Go Bills

  3. Given this:

    1. are you comfortable with the amount of experimentation?

In the preseason, very much yes.

    2. are the Bills not good enough to be doing this, or should they be trying to get better at what they ARE gonna do, and save the experiments for the preseason of the year AFTER we've made the playoffs?

Chan and Fitz are smart enough to try new things. Football Outsiders called Chan Gailey, the Poor Man Sean Payton. I think that's a fair assessment.

    3. do you believe that "experimentation" is BS, and it's merely excuses for bad play from the starters?

No, its like working on your curve in Spring Training. These games don't count.

Exactly..! these games don't count, thus . . . let's try some things out against some different competition that dosent see it everyday...

  4. Moore and Merriman are kept. Merriman can also be used in a linebacker position. In plays he is lined up as an OLB where for confusion they either blitz him or someone else and then he drops back in a linebacker role. With the DL I dont think it will matter much of the DE/DT where they may just as part of the rotation they rotate players as part of mismatches. Simillarly with mario they have 4 DL on the field and he is more of a roamer who rushes wherever to cause blocking assignment confusioin.

I think the ones that are safe are.....

Mario, Anderson, Williams, Dareus, Merriman, Kelsey, one DT( ??) and one DE (Moore). Do they keep a 9th DL ??? It comes down to keeping what they think is the best player between a DL vs other defensive positions and who can play on special teams.

Also, how do they make room for John Potter..? It seems like he might stick from the way it looks....so do they keep 9 DL or 8 and Potter, or do they keep one less from another position..?

  5. All good stuff, Still not satisfied with this team yet. LB is a major Concern. Not sure we have REAL First Line Talent at all 3 positions. I still think the Major concern is Fitz. Can he carry the team 16 Games. He has to want to, and put it on him to CARRY The Bills. Successful Football Teams have Good QBs who can do it. I wanna see if Fitz and Play in November and December, cause if he can't, It's a cause of MAJOR Concern...

That's why they picked up Young, if something happens, he can come in, add a new dimension, win some games... hold down the fort until the General returns, etc. ...depth is everywhere on this roster and we shall see the quality of that depth this year..!

  6. Scenario I'd prefer: a season for the ages capped off with our 1st Vince Lombardi Trophy.

That's what I'm talkin' bout, forget all this scenario stuff, I think everyone of us will not care how it gets done, as long as they are hoisting that trophy up at the end. I welcome any scenario that helps us win, every player they brought in can help this team in one way or another, it's all about depth! Here's to all 53 that make the team, plus the practice squad making contributions to this being the most successful season in franchise history.

  7. I expect to win every game!!! Fitz mechanics will be awesome, Freddie and C.J. will run wild, Stevie, Marcus, T.J. and the gang will blanket any secondary, the "Wild Buffalo" with Brad, Vince, Dorin, and Co. will stampede and confuse all defensive challengers...nuff said

:nana: . . . you heard it 1st.............the "Wild Buffalo"... or maybe the "Thundering Herd" forget calling it the wildcat, gotta come up with our own name...

  8. Anywhere from 9-7 to 12-4, I picked 11-5 because I think with the depth now here there won't as much of a drop off if the injury bug hits. I think they will stay relatively healthy this year and win a playoff game, maybe 2  I want them to finally win it all like most of us do..! Let's hope this is the year...Go Bills..!!!
