  1. Anyone heard of the saying ..." A prophet is not honored in his own country"... I think PJ wants to branch out on his own, away from Belichek and all his cronies, to prove his worth!... If he proves he's worthy, and it parlays him into a promotion, then that means the Bills will be successful!... The more experience the Bills get on board this staff, the better. I like what the FO is doing...cudos to Whaley!

  2. The only thing that taints my opinion is the fact that he can't stay on the field...I mean come on ? Really? He's shown flashes on greatness , and rookie mistakes as well. High expectations are there because of draft status for sure, but that's an obvious. He was said to be a piece of clay before the draft that you could mold, so this is has been the season of shaping and development. Now that he's been through(almost) a season, next year will tell us if he's grown into what we all hope him to be ...the "Franchise" QB the bills have needed for 14 years!! And if Thad Lewis can do well against the Patsies, the QB position could be set for a few years!, that's if Manuel develops like we all hope! #GoBills

  3. Really? Debating if SJ should be here, traded, etc....he's a weapon on a young growing improving team, chose to stay here, has shed a positive light on buffalo, and gets open with his uncanny unorthodox moves. He maturity has grown in the last few years, he was a real leader on the sideline in the jets game. Sure we're all frustrated by his injuries, so is he! He wants to be out there, not being able to contribute in the domination of the jets had to be making him crazy! Come on guys! It's year one of a new staff, new players, etc... It's a new era for the Bills, and I for one am willing to go thru some growing pains to be a consistent winning team! Give the guy a break, be patient, him being out was kind of a blessing, the young guys got some valuable experience, and made the most of their opportunity, and down the road, that will be a huge confidence boost for the team! Let's stay positive and support our team no matter what Go Bills!!!

His greatest strength is that he's alive.

And unlike EJ can walk without a crutch.

Throws a nice deep bomb and a good spiral. He had a bunch of dropped passes in the Cleveland game. I'd like to see Marcus Easley on the field if he is the QB because they seemed to have good chemistry during the preseason games.

Back to this thread, I don't have any idea what Jeff Tuel's strengths are. The only playing of his that I have ever seen are preseason and the Cleveland game.

I have never seen Matt Flynn play, but somehow I think I prefer him to Tuel.

He's healthy for starters! Unlike the rest of this M.A.S.H. Unit! He's had some time to digest what happened in Cleveland, so that should help him be more relaxed back there. He does throw a nice ball, let's hope the o line gives him time and that 22 & 28 pound it effectively, KC is giving up around 4 yds per carry, take advantage of that, and when KC keys on the run, Tuel should have time to find open receivers... And if that don't work, put Flynn in! At least he learned behind Aaron Rodgers for a couple years, if he knew the offense, I believe he'd be in there. If the defense can contain Jamal Charles and pressure Alex Smith, and Tuel can at least manage the gameplan, a win is very possible!! Go Bills!!!

  5. Really? Why trade a good safety that's on the verge of becoming a great safety, it just boggles the mind where people come up with this stuff! He hasn't even had a chance to work at his new position with the full secondary in tact, I for one am excited to see this defense once everyone is healthy! Pettine has had to work with a unit that's held together with glue and duct tape so far, so please think before you post such utter nonsense!!!

I don't think that Bulldog is intimidated by Schopp as much as they are simply a bad match personality wise and interest wise. Schopp doesn't have much interest in most of the sports. Whenever he is asked a question about a particular sport it is apparent that he is faking the issue and turning it around to rudely forcing the caller to justify what he is asking.

Capacio is a better partner on air with Bulldog. There may be some criticisms with Capacio's style but one thing that comes across with him is that he is genuine in his enthusiasm for the Buffalo Sports teams. That is not to say that he is co-opted by them so much as he is knowledgeagable about the various teams.

Bulldog is even better by himself than when he is on with Shopp. There is less stammering and he has a better rapport with callers, including knowing how to handle the dumb bell calls. He can dispatch them rather quickly without being nasty and condescending.

The best analogy I can make with Shopp and Bulldog is that it is like two people on a long car trip stuck trying to force a conversation that neither one is interested in. Torturous and Awkward!

I also like the fact that I've heard Sal and Bulldog both talk running/track&field, soccer, and other sports in a positive manner without talking condescending toward those sports. Enjoying today's show very muchGreat work Sal and Bulldog Let's Go Buffalo

  7. Renegotiating was smart on B. Smiths part to increase his chances of sticking, but it all comes down to production! His veteran presence and QB perspective are a plus, but he's listed as a WR, and Hackett dosent use the wildcat(or so I've read), so if he is that far above other talented WR's, then he's got a chance. IMHO there's too many other more talented WR's on this roster, they may be rookies, but the potential is there to have an awesome stable of WR's. He may stick as a 6th or 7th WR/ST, but I don't see much more than that.

However, all the advantage is *WITH* the BILLS. They Bills are prepared to carry a cap of 6.9M for the Franchise tag (And they will carry that only if Byrd signs the 1-year tender). The Bills don't have to do anything. I am sure they can play with their 4th round pick. It is Byrd who is going to be sweating. He is already behind in the play book. Plus has zero reps in this system. And if the 4th rd pick does play well, then he may not even have a place on this defense. The Bills could simply refuse to add the "no-franchise-tag" clause and then trade him to the highest bidder (if that is what Byrd wants). Otherwise, Byrd could sign the tender, report to camp and have an outstanding year and then renegotiate a better contract next year.

??? Thought this was a post about Brad Smith???
