  1. The town of Orchard Park, N.Y., has received a request to approve a drive-through marijuana dispensary at 3715 Southwestern Blvd. ... within spitting distance of the stadium. Hmmm. Could add a new twist on the stadium's name: Highmark!

Here's the link, for those of you who can get past the paywall.

  2. The Jadeveon Clowney-Browns relationship seems to have reached the point of "irreconcialable differences." I'm wondering if the Bills should sniff around about his availabilty for next season.

My concern: Clowney seems to be miffed that the defense isn't built around his abilities, which suggests a level of ego that wouldn't fit in with the Bills' culture.

    Any thoughts?

  3. I started the YouTube TV five-day free trial today. So far, I'm not that impressed. A lot of channels that I don't care about ... or care for. And the basic package doesn't scratch all my itches:  4K TV costs an extra $10.99 a month, movie channels are extra, too.  And that's the case with my DirecTV subscription as well as most cable packages. But as far as being able to get Sunday Ticket, the devil is in the details: Depending on whether I can get Sunday Ticket without being forced to pay the $64.99 monthly fee for YTTV, I might just switch from DTV to the DTV streaming service.

Bills' Josh Allen just set a never-before-seen QB record in history (clutchpoints.com)

Just in case they do see their mistake and change it, here's the sentence....

It's a poorly constructed sentence, as Dr. K explained. The web site is simply hoping to make a zillion bucks on the backs of sports junkies, but I doubt they will ever compete with the likes of real news organizations. I'm sorry I clicked on the link.

  5. Over the years, I've had Bills caps, T-shirts, various cereals, Hasek hot sauce and other trinkets, including a small piece of the astroturf from the stadium. However, this is my favorite (and never worn): A "Buffalo Loves Kelly" sweatshirt that I bought at the now-defunct Kleinhans store in the Boulevard Mall.

  6. My nickname is a combination of several factors. First, my wife's nickname at work was "the woz." That was a shortened version of "the great and powerful woz," which was a riff on the Wizard of Oz's "Oz the great and powerful."

Throw in the late 1970s, early 1980s pop band Was Not Was, and it was only natural that I would be known as "notwoz."

Haha, he is insufferable at times but I've gotten used to his "I'm the smartest guy in the room ans you are an idiot if you dint agree with me" schtick so it doesn't bother me as much anymore...

Sometimes he is actually pretty funny.

You're right. He has his moments. But not enough moments for me to enjoy listening to him.

You guys still listen to that sheet?

I would rather listen to work place safety rules

I'm retired. Don't need to anything workplace related.

  8. There are some interesting matchups. I'll be bouncing around the following games, mostly to see which teams look promising and which ones don't. As it's the first game of the season, any given win or loss might not be that meaningful. But it will still be interesting, if only to see what the Bills' opponents look like.

    Steelers v. Bengals
    Pats v. Dolphins
    Jags v. Washington
    Giants v. Titans
    Raiders v. Chargers
    Pack v. Vikings
