  1. I think that... in order for Troup to succeed, he may also have to be successful at something(as far as being successful at succeeding is concerned). in my experience, that's one of the quickest ways to gain success. OMG, that's IT ! "we have nothing to succeed at, but success itself." i'm so brilliant. wait... whud i say ? AS
  2. this may be an interesting comparison, their first 3 years in the league: Johnson: 368 yds 2 td 3 int 7 sax sack rate 20.0% Edwards: 5498 yds 24 td 25 int 58 sax sack rate 7.0% Favre: 6530 yds 37 td 39 int 65 sax sack rate 6.5% Favre's career sack rate ended up at 4.9%, RJ's ended at 14.8%. call me crazy, but i see a liiiiiiiiiitle more promise in the 2nd and 3rd guys above. ~as
  3. This might help. All you have to do is count. http://edhelper.com/ReadingComprehension_27_81.html "This poem is made up of three lines only. There are only 17 syllables altogether. The pattern of syllables goes like this: five syllables seven syllables five syllables " Points are deducted for using a calculator ! AS

  5. Add "none of the above" to your choices, and see how many of us pick that. AS

There's only one thing That's good about Miami They beat New England That big fat tuna Will be nice to kick his *ss Let them miss wide LEFT. AS
  8. um... well has he like.. caught anything since you posted that? i mean, like, what's the holdup ?? AS
  9. the man can't walk or run so far this year. that's why we didn't miss him. schobel hasn't been able to play all year. sure, he dresses for games, but.. he's a lineman- they do that. the only thing that would stop him is to take his playing license away, so to speak. so, that's how he got "booted". i'm all for it. i don't care what we pay they guy, he'll never earn it if he doesn't heal. the fact that we didn't miss him is not a knock on the guy... but on the flipside, it is a ringing endorsement for the rest of the line, including kelsay and denney who were in, or belonged in the infirmary all of last year. beyond that, i think it's amazing that, MINUS HALF OUR SECONDARY, and the probowl end, we withstood such a hot passing attack. it was nice to see a non-bills QB lose the ball for a change, huh ? AS
  10. i think we can guess that jd1 meant that mike williams was the infamous big-fat bust, since he was such a high pick, and tipped the scales at over 500.. er.. i mean 400 pounds(is there really that much difference?? ) at times. given TDs track record, and the fact that we now seem to have a special QB, yeah, i'd say lets give marv a break. i never liked the mccargo pick from the start, but they had to be thinking "OMG, we better find a relacement for pat williams or else". of course the gamble didn't pay off, but they did come up with kyle, who mans pat's old post in serviceable fashion. so in a sense, they more or less got that job accomplished, but not at all in the way they expected. of course, getting a 4th round pick for your recent 1st round tradeup feels like.. trading suzy kolber for a pack of condoms. however, if suzy wouldn't actually kiss you, that would pretty much force your hand. (OMG, like ZERO pun intended there !!) AS
  11. Ok now guyz, lets not get too carried away with the math, but.... the problem cited in the link is totally different. it's saying that in a group of x people, it's an even shot the 2 of them, would have the same BD. WHICH TWO? problem doesn't care, just SOME 2 people. the mangini example cite 2 SPECIFIC people in the world. that's were your 1/365 comes in. if eric and brett went to the same party of 27, somebody might have the same birthdate. but it wouldn't be them ! so it is a bit of a wild coincidence, and if they became good friends, it's not so weird IMHO. after all, it was just a middle name, which works like this: wife is obsessed with child having 3 names. husband could give a s*** about kid's middle name. wife pressures husband to decide. "he's YOUR son..." husband groans audibly. eventually husband has [sing this] real-stroke-of-geeen-yuh-uss: notes birthday coincidence and says "OMG hunny, it's an OMEN". wife(on epidural) buys it. husband hands miniature football to newborn. now that u have the inside story no what REALLY happened, we focus out attention back on the bills. AS
  12. hey now, we're all forgetting one thing. jason peters WAS injured. (remember? the end of last season) ..and no one has seen him since! i don't need a projector to see what that could mean. the bills do not know how the rehab has gone. they have no idea what they'll be getting. all they DO know, is that this guy is not helping the team at all right now, and is not honoring the contract that already has been renegotiated once. to me, that shows a physical unknown, and a mental negative. anyone saying we should shell out big bux considering all that should start a collection. don't stop by my house !
