The avatar was just supposed to be eye-catching so I could find my own posts. Nothing funny about farts I suppose. I've since removed the fart reference.
Everyone is so damned sensitive.
There's barely been anything I've said in this entire thread that should be taken seriously. I'm a funny man - a comic! And I'm sure that Lacrotch1015 was just as offended as you with the "short bus" comment. So again, my apologies to both of you.
You are just wrong, sir. Farts are funny.

Even on a Bills board I have to hear about the Cowboys.

My recollection of Flutie is something like this...
He plays like sh*t for 3 quarters but the defense keeps us in the game. But then Flutie suddenly gets accurate in the 4th quarter and scrambles like a demon, leading the Bills to a last minute TD and a 17-14 victory.
The 4th quarter heroics could never quite make me forget the 3 quarters of abysmal quarterbacking.
To say this another way... I'm still saving my Kelly Krunch but my box of Flutie Flakes was eaten and discarded a long time ago.
Who cares? After a decade of suck, do we really have the right to question how someone wins?
Winners win. Losers lose. Flutie was a winner with the Bills and got a bum deal in the end.

Getting back to the point of this thread, I once went to a Raiders/Bills game at the Coliseum. I had just lit up a joint with my dad and son. We were having a nice mellow time with some good hearted ribbing of some away fans, when these two insecure jackasses flashed their "heat". I mean, really, who take a gun to a stadium anyway and more importantly, who still calls it "heat". Oh well. Some peoples' kids, ya know.

I think the Super Bowl should also never be played on real grass. When those pretty uniforms get all dirty it just looks so yucky.

Let's talk wurst!
What's the best wurst?
What's the worst wurst?
I'm thinking that liver and brat are the best wursts, or at least they are the wursts that I'm most likely to like.
I've never tried bloodwurst but I think it must be the worst wurst.
I'm partial to Cheddar.
A wurst stuffed with cheese, c'mon.

Good read
It really was.

I bet Leonidas works for Yahoo Sports.

When did Kurt Warner win a second Super Bowl?

Wouldn't the jumpers be the ones who left the Houston game?

Still more action than baseball,.. by a lot.

Huzzah for Flutie for most of 1998, boo for Flutie in the 1998 post-season. For ALL of 1999, he sucked on ice.
10 - 5. Man, whoever the QB is next year, I hope he sucks on ice.
-
It's all about the $$$ man.
I know, but do they really think that fans seeing Wade Phillips wearing some dopey Cowboys hat is going to get them to buy it? Why not just go all the way then, like baseball, and make the coach wear a jersey? Honestly, that's how ridiculous I think some of them look in all that gear.
-
D2D, if your not already, you should work for the NFL.
It's always amazing to me when I switch on other games how much better the product actually is.
One question though, why do the coaches have to be walking advertisements for NFL gear? Some of them look really dopey. I know they're "allowed" to wear a suit 2 games a year, but I miss the characters on the sideline. Love him or hate him, but Tom Landry just looked cool.

if you don't care, then why are you in this thread?
It would seem to me then you would be open to changing the system... if you don't care.
I'm here because this is where we are talking about teams sitting their starters. I don't care that teams sit their starters and want to say that I don't think they need to change the rules, rules that I think would be unenforceable. I can't believe that a bunch of jaded crybabies in Indy have such sway with the league.
Jaded Crybaby: "Poor us, I know we've won a Super Bowl. I know we've been to the playoffs every year for a decade. But dog gone it, that just isn't enough for us anymore. We wanted,..nay, we had a right to see them go 16 -0. This travesty must not happen again."
Bills fan: "Hey Jaded Crybaby, STFU. Just relax these two weeks and enjoy the fact that your team isn't the Bills. You'll get to see meaningful football soon enough, in January no less. We haven't seen it in December in quite some time, so again, Jaded Crybaby, STFU. Enjoy the playoffs."

It is retarded that people are arguing against having a conversation about how this could be accomplished. Somehow talking about how to make the NFL better is wrong and they would rather shoot down Goodell than to say - hey, cool - someone is actually concerned about the product.
Again,.. if I don't care, I'm not retarded, I just don't care.
-
You'll never know unless you have the conversation.
There are people here actually arguing AGAINST the commissioner having a conversation about delivering more value to the fans. Just how retarded is that?
The NFL ultimately may not be able to guarantee that someone plays, but they can do their best to reduce the number of BS games that steal money out of fan's pockets.
Ask the Jets fans if they care about teams resting their starters. Not everyone that disagrees with you is a retard, they just have a different opinion than you.
I already gave you the solution, add four more teams to the playoffs and don't give anyone a bye. With more spots available there would be more games that meant something.
-
Instead of changing the rules to stop this, why not just add two more wild-card teams in each conference. Since the Colts have already had 2 bye weeks, why do they need another one once the playoffs begin. If they're not going to play in the regular season, make'em play in the postseason..
-
Isn't Goodell a Bills fan (or at least grow up one). You would think that he is used to watching meaningless, uninspired games in December by now.
-
Is anyone actually watching this game today?
Just until the Sabres game starts.
-
Why? Because I point out the hypocrisy of the ranting posters on this board? You hate this team but apparently you all live to piss and moan about them on Sundays. Anything to stay busy, I guess. Smell ya later.
PTR
What are you going to tell him next,"you should be happy that we even have a team"?
-
This thread is way more entertaining than the game.
...and equally as funny.
-
Bill,
As always good to see your thread again....
I really don't know why Fewell does not play Edwards. Fitz has been horrible for the last few games and if you took away that 98Yard TD play, he has been mediocre......Sadly it looks like this regime is bent on keeping Edwards on the bench...
If the Bills ran the ball the way they did today, I would have expected a 200+ yard passing game with 2 TDs by the QB...Sadly we pretend that Fitz is the better QB...
Coaching decisions came back to bite as again...That 51yard try was not smart...I would have let my Punter, the best player on the team pin the chiefs inside the 5 and milked the clock rather than giving them great field position. The chiefs hurt themselves with stupid penalties..
Nelson is indeed a great find. I hope this organization will nurture him and put him to succeed..
Whitner while he made plays in the 1st Qtr disappeared in the later stages and I believe Wilson was in on more plays than Donte.
Coach Jauron, is that you? Those are the exact decisions that got you fired. Our D was playing well and Lindell made a 56 yarder 2 weeks ago. Going for the field goal was the right choice.
Even with the loss last week, this team, under Fewell, is just better and absolutely more exciting to watch
ESPN is a complete joke

If you count this one, there are now 5 threads about T.O. on the first page of TSW.
Not that I disagree with your point about ESPN, just sayin'.
