  1. They didn't equal last seasons numbers. They had fewer yards, fewer TDs both passing and rushing, and averaged a half yard less PER PLAY (the Chiefs 4.8 YPP was equal to the BILLS last season).

You're also pretending that the Chiefs didn't deal with any issues the season before, which is ridiculous. I feel bad that Cassell missed one whole game and Bowe had to sit four. Chris Chambers didn't look shot to me. I didn't realize receivers blew up at age 31.

At the end of the day, Chan Gailey figured out how to get the ball to Tony Gonzalez NINETY SIX times with Tyler Thigpen and Damon friggin' Huard at QB. We barely surpassed that number to Lee Evans AND Terrell Owens COMBINED last season.

It has nothing to do with kool-aid. I already said I have no idea if this guy is a good HC or not (and neither does anyone else but I'll take Bill Cowher's word over yours, call me crazy). I do know that he is the HC of the BILLS for at least next season and I'm gonna cheer for him to succeed instead of being the typical negative douchebag sports fan that are seem to breed via mitosis.

I'm calling BS on your entire premise. Despite your desperate attempt to claim otherwise for biased reasons, they indeed lost their best skill players from the previous year yet finished ranked 25th in the NFL in offense, down from 24th the previous year with Chan "Bill Walsh" Gailey masterminding superior weapons.

I trust the fact that no NFL team wanted him to be their head coach in the past 11 years over an alleged Bill Cowher endorsement of his buddy. Dick Jauron had the endorsement of Marv Levy, too...that went well. Unlike many typical douchebag Bills fans with an inferiority complex, who will blindly cheer for Ralph's team no matter what mountain of bargain basement dreck he spews out, I will continue to just not give a crap until he's gone.

    It's called having standards.

  2. So whenever someone points out the flaws in your reasoning, you are just going to say "Pants on the ground" ??? Nice.

Actually, it's when someone's argument is so inept I feel compelled to let them know they're looking like a fool with their pants on the ground. Yes, I agree it's nice of me.

  3. Name 3 players on the KC offense from 2008.

BTW, the Chiefs offense this season scored 3 more points than they did last season (because of their defense - their offense scored fewer TDs both rushing and passing). They changed QBs, RBs, and both starting WRs and were actually LESS productive offensively.

    But Gailey was the problem.

    Kool-aid, Kool-aid - tastes great. Kool-aid, Kool-aid - can't wait.

Chiefs lost Tony Gonzalez, Larry Johnson was suspended and then cut, and had to work with injuries to Matt Cassell. They lost leading receiver Dwayne Bowe to a steroid suspension and reached for the waiver wire to pick up a shot Chris Chambers. The fact that this team equaled their previous year's numbers is pretty incredible under these circumstances.

  4. That is actually kind of a dumb thing to say when you consider that the Steelers interviewed him for their HC job after Cowher retired. Also, I am guessing that Billick not getting called had something to do with him ripping the city and the team with his "who would want to go coach in Buffalo" comment.

We got a guy who will turn our offense around (made the best out of Tomzcak, Kordell, and Thigpen), lets see what he can do with the team instead of just whining about it.

Let's go Bills! Let's go Bills! BILLIEVE!! BILLIEVE!!

    Pants on the ground.

  5. Mike Mularkey's Steelers offense finished 3rd and 5th in the NFL, and 6th in offense his first year in Atlanta. The Bills really should have looked at him.

Cam Cameron was an offensive genius in San Diego, and helped turn around Baltimore's offense with the young Joe Flaco at QB. The Bills really should have looked at him.

Kevin Gilbride has had tremendous success in the NFL for many teams, including a highly productive year in Buffalo with Drew Bledsoe at the helm, and a Super bowl winning offense in New York just two years ago. The Bills really should have looked at him.

  6. The majoirty of people thought Cutler was a great move and the PAts* would go 14-2. If you ever want to make $ gambling, just do the opposite of what everyone is doing. Vegas wasn't built by teh majority of people being right.

Well, since Ralph believes he doesn't need to hire top coaching or management, just hope for better luck, than I guess Vegas was built for fools like Ralph with his pants on the ground.

  7. The fan excitement in Buffalo was "palpable" when we traded for Bledsoe, and when we signed TO....Fan excitement doesn't win football games. It does however put butts in the seats. Maybe Buddy went for the better football coach.

You keep on telling yourself that if it makes you happy.

  8. Except for the word coming out that he supposedly WAS on a couple of other teams' short lists last season, and was also the guy Cowher suggested to the Steelers as his replacement.

Not sure how much of that's spin, though. Put it this way, Gailey's was certainly a name I didn't expect to hear.

Gailey's name has not been picked in the past 11 years he's been on the market, so why would anyone expect it? He has been on lists as a coordinator, and has served as one as recently as last year, but getting canned by KC in preseason certainly didn't make him more attractive as a HC. The alleged Cower endorsement is nothing more than lipstick on the Gailey pig.

  9. But Gailey's still been in the business for all of that time, Todd Haley's "August Surprise" notwithstanding. Billick's spent the last two years in the broadcast booth, and now it sounds like that's not by his own choice. Why?

Only two years out, so the 3 years at $5 million/year he was guaranteed from Baltimore, plus whatever he makes on top of that at NFL Network, would be pretty good motivators for him to sit out a couple years before considering another HC position. Meanwhile, if not for Buffalo, Gailey would never, never, ever have been even considered as an NFL HC again. Wonder why that is?

  10. If Billick had been hired the excitement level in Buffalo would be palpable. If you took a poll last week and put Chan Gailey on it with Billick, Marty Schottenheimer, Frazier and Fewell, Gailey would not have received a single vote.

Face it, it's a lame hire...a pathetic, retread yes-man who's just happy to have a job because nobody else wants him at any price.

  11. i am glad that ralph is thinking for himself and not listening to fans....ralph has forgotten more about football than any of us will ever know, collectively...if he was uncomfortable with Schottenheimer, then that is good enough for me....its been 3 years since he was a coach anywhere...has to be a reason for that....

Sounds like someone poojed on your brain.
