Let me just say upfront that what should be in a blog and what should be posted here will be the single most difficult thing to define. Actually, I don't think it could be defined. this entire area is gray and I doubt there is little black or white.
I think there was a time when a post like this could have had the potential to lead to an epic "I'm a horrible human being" thread.
My guess is that blogs should be geared towards particular people as opposed to specific posts. I mean, if BlueFire does not have a history of these type of threads, then a blog doesn't make sense. However, if someone has the need to regularly contribute items like this - then a blog makes sense.

This is not his "responsibility" at all. She did this action out of spite. They were broken up, and he had NO IDEA his seed was sitting frozen next to the Popsicles. This guy gets a BJ, so he should have to pay $800 a month for a kid that this psycho B word created?
His sperm made this baby, but not at all with his consent. Whenever we see these white trash families with 10 kids who they can't afford the first thought is "jeez, try some birth control". Well, I think getting a BJ is one was of making sure you don't get a chick pregnant. Apparently not here.
Does this suck? Of course it does - theres a kid involved. But there's no reason this man should have to pay $800 a month for something like this. I mean, hell, if a guy masturbates and the girl comes by a takes his sperm right after and does this, is the guy still responsible?
to say you need to grow up is an understatement. You talk in terms of what this guy should be forced to do and I talk in terms of what he should do - w/o a court order. You see a man being hurt - I see a child who has no say in the matter. He has a child that needs care. It doesn't matter how it happened. Sometimes life is about what doing the right thing, not the convenient thing.
If anything, he should be suing for custody from this psycho.
and, if I am allowed to moralize a bit more, stuff like this doesn't happen when you are married and committed to your spouse. There is more to morality than someone just wanting to be a wet blanket on your fun.

I'm a bit surprised at the comments, but maybe I'm just the oddball here.
Obviously, this is one wacked out story that once again proves that truth is stranger than fiction. With that said - there is an innocent child here that needs to be raised. That article didn't really go into details, but no matter how fricked up the conception was - he needs to deal with it properly and provide support. You don't punish the child because the mother is a psycho.

the Skin's are getting crucified for this proposed deal on the radio... Moss said that Portis told him WEEKS ago that this might happen. Talk radio wants to know how Portis knows this and if he is the shadow GM these days. Skins would take a $9M hit to do this....

I can't believe someone would just give them away if they weren't throwing it away. To me the biggest detraction seems to be that you have to go online to a website and type in the code. If you're going to have to type a code into a website why would someone choose this one over pepsi.com or whatever? The only people I could see doing this are the 55+ crowd who may or may not listen to MP3s. Wtf do i know though.
Not everyone uses an ipod, so it really isn't that far fetched - but thanks for the support!

Last year I got 60 codes. It was very thoughtful for posters to take their time to send me those. It was a nice distraction shopping for some music as I just started doing the whole iTunes/MP3 thing.
I have received 1 so far and if that is all I get - I'll be equally thankful for that one. I presume with the exploding popularity of the ipod that many people probably have closer friends than me to give the codes to this year as opposed to last year. Still, if there are some out there that are going unused - I might as well ask...

I did this last year and quite a few Pepsi drinkers offered their iTunes codes to me instead of throwing them away.... Thank you very much!
They are running the promotion again, so I thought I would ask again for unused codes. If you have them and don't want them - I would love a chance to use them.

I would love to have that back, but I would need new photos and a lot of help with photoshop getting them in the right format. It can be very tedious outlining everyone and we would really need about 50-100 of them, so that they don't get too repetitive.

that's interesting... you didn't know it was off, but yet you love it? Seems to me that if you didn't notice, it probably wasn't that big of a deal in the 1st place. <shrug>

unless you do something illegal and strip the DRM - all songs cease to play when your monthly sub is cancelled. Basically, you are renting.
