mountainwampus
Is it just me, or does Fitzpatrick look FAST? I mean, his drop back, his release, his decision making, his scrambling, etc. Maybe it's cause he's scared s***less, or maybe he's a coveted "quick-twitch" athlete? Either way, I like his speed. Those are some of his strong points. He has very good pocket awareness. He is evasive in the pocket and able to throw on the run. He seems to read defenses well. His main problem is accuracy. That could probably be due to lack of time with the starters though to work on timing. We will see.
Dan
I think you're just seeing him play through Trent-colored glasses. It's not so much that Fitz is fast as it is Trent is slow. I've been screaming it for weeks... Trent drops back, looks, looks, looks, pats, looks some more, throws it to the closest guy to him. His play has looked beyond bad. So now Fitz comes in and, although not great, he drops back and throws. End result... he looks competent.
2003Contenders
He actually is fairly quick. In fact, last year with the Bengals he was more effective with his legs than his arm.
