The past two nights they have been able to see them as far south as Alabama. Keep an eye to the north when it gets dark. If thats not enough there is the Taurids meteor shower tonight and the Leonids meteor shower on Thursday. The interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) near Earth has titlted north--a condition that suppresses geomagnetic storms. Still worth keeping an eye out but the chances have diminished for the aurora.
